There was tragedy in Oyigbo,Rivers state on Thursday after seven members of a family died mysteriously.It is unclear what led to their death but some people attributed it to suffocation from carbon monoxide poisoning while others said they might have been poisoned.One social media user wrote...

'Infact Sir kenn .this life is rubbish.I was there this morning before the police arrived with the ambulance. From the information gathered.it was probably said to be solfucation, 7 people in a room,Closed windows and door.stand by active generator which stayed overnight,of which its carbon monoxide found its way into the room were the victims slept. So many people said some other things. And there was blood traces. Which indicates that the victims struggled to death.#POISONING was also suspected.INVESTIGATIONS are still on going and in this case we demand for autopsy test which could be sponsored by state /local government.Be right back.'

A young man was knocked down today by a Honda car directly opposite Otukpo Burned Bricks at 3.I5pm.He died on the spot.


The driver abandoned his car and ran away but luck ran out of him through phone calls made by the founder /CEO Of the 24Hours Road Accident Victims Support Initiative.He was later caught.


Road Safety Officials arrived the scene and evacuated the corpse.Two phones and a wallet containing undisclosed amount of money were recovered from the deceased.

According to a report shared by an online user,there was commotion in Onitsha today after corrupt policemen caused accident that led to the death of a pregnant woman,her two children and another lady who was trying to cross the road along Onitsha/Owerri road.

According to report,the policemen were posted to guide Dangote's depot.Instead,they left their duty post and blocked the main road.They were collecting bribe from keke drivers,motorists and others.Due to their recklessness,a keke driver was suddenly stopped by them while a fast moving truck was coming.While trying to avoid the keke driver,the truck crushed a pregnant woman and her two kids dead.Another lady who was also trying to cross the road was killed.

Angry mob stormed the scene and set Dangote's depot ablaze while policemen took to their heels.

Troops of 251 Battalion, 7 Division Nigerian Army on Operation LAFIYA DOLE deployed at Dala village on Tuesday 18th July 2017 at about 10.00pm intercepted a suspected suicide bomber who attempted to cross through their forward defences.

Upon several challenges and warning shots the suspect refused to halt.  The suspect who still continued to approach towards the troops location was immediately neutralized.

The Borno State Emergency Management Agency and the International Committee of the Red Cross have since been contacted to evacuate the suspect remains.

It will be recalled that three days ago, on Sunday 16th July 2017, our troops deployed at Mammanti, also averted another catastrophe when they intercepted and neutralized 2 female Boko Haram terrorists suicide bombers who tried to infiltrate and attack the village through troops parapet at about 10.15pm. Similarly, the troops of 251 Battalion also intercepted another female Boko Haram terrorists suicide bomber on Monday 17th July 2017 at about 1.49am between Cimari and No Man’s Land.  This great  efforts of the troops helped to save valuable lives and property. The public is please requested to continue to volunteer information to the military and other security agencies to help preempt suicide bombings and other atrocities by the remnants of the Boko Haram terrorists.
