'Residents of Ikpayongo in the early hours of today trooped to the market square to catch a glimpse on a two day old baby girl that was discovered in a pit latrine and rescued by some members of the vigilante group in the area.

A member of the group, Tersoo Ngueyongo told Harvest FM that the baby girl was rescued following a distress call by a man popularly known as Morocco that a child is crying in his pit latrine.

Mr Ngueyongo stated that he quickly mobilized his team which led to the removal of the baby alive.

A neighbour, Mr Thomas Anongo expressed shock over the incident describing the act as crime against humanity.

The mother is yet to be known while the two day old baby girl was later handed over to the police for onward delivery to the social welfare department in Aliade.'

One of Harvard University's most famous dropouts, Facebook Inc founder Mark Zuckerberg, returned to the Ivy League school to address its graduating class.

The 33-year-old tech titan, who dropped out of the college to found the pioneering social network company, has been on a nostalgia trip during the week leading up to Harvard's commencement. On Tuesday, he live-streamed a visit to the dorm room where he started the website he initially called "thefacebook.com" and made available just to his classmates. 

"This is literally where I sat. And I had my little laptop here and this is where I programmed Facebook. It took me about two weeks," Zuckerberg said in the video. "This is where it happened."

He also took to Facebook to announce that he has obtained his Harvard degree.

'My last post as a 34 year old. I saved a life and I'm proud of it. I was driving by when I saw this guy lying on the floor in the hot sun. Several people passed by him and just pulled out their phones and took pictures. Others insulted him for being a drunkard. But I stopped and got closer and asked what was wrong. With a faint voice I heard him say "I'm not drunk. I didn't drink any alcohol". I saw in his eyes pain and helplessness. In the hot afternoon sun I saw that he was shaking as though he felt cold. With the help of the police officer in the picture we carried him to a better place under a tree and gave him water. Then he asked for food and we gave him food. After eating he told us his story.
His name is Isaac Boateng. A fisherman from Elmina. According to him these day when they go out to sea they don't get any fish. So out of frustration he came to Tema to find work but after roaming through the city for a week without any success he started begging for food or asking to work - do any work for food. Most people just turned him away and others threatened him. Before he fell and collapsed on the streets of Tema community 11, before I found him he hadn't eaten for 3 days. By the grace of God he is on his way back to Elmina right now with a little extra money in his pocket to keep him going for a few days. Apart from fishing Isaac also is a repairer of damaged bicycle tyres. He has learnt his lesson he told me. He promised me he'd stay in Elmina and not come foraging for opportunities in the city anymore. He said to me that the wickedness of the people in Tema surprised him most. Once he gained some strength he became very chatty and I must say I enjoyed the time it spent talking to this human being. I learnt today to work harder and to make life better for others with the fruit of my labour. I learnt that in every body is a beautiful soul that needs care and love'

'The brutality of the military and the paramilitary in Nigeria can actually make madmen out of sane people.
The man in this picture got his car impounded by Road safety officials around Mararaba axis of Abuja, for lack of having his complete vehicle particulars. He is said to be a kabu kabu driver who goes by the name John. He usually plies the Mararaba, Abuja axis. Eye witness account says that because he dared to argue with them, the FRSC officials called upon soldiers to help assist them in disciplining the man. Trust our Nigerian soldiers. They beat the man, rolled him in a pool of stagnant water and tore off his clothes, leaving him stark nakd, under the full glare of motorists and passersby. They say he who is down needs fear no fall. Rather than cower in shame, the man caused a major hold up. He blocked the highway in protest amidst cheers from spectators in solidarity with him. With stones in both hands, he dared any motorist to pass. Of course no one wanted a stone to land on their heads or cars, so they kept their distance.
I wonder when our military will learn to start treating civilians as humans and not animals'.

'Apostle Suleman Shares His Life Story, Blesses Visiting Youth Corpers With N2m Cash

The untiring spirit of giving known with the man of God and president of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, was again displayed when he blessed some youth corpers who visited him with the sum of N2 million naira cash.

It was during the Sunday service at the OFM headquarters in Auchi, Edo State.
Apostle Suleman’s heart of gold was extended to the beneficiaries who were newly posted to the State because, according to him, “it is another divine mission I could not ignore.”

Assisting youth corpers, we gathered, is what the servant of God has done for six years and have become an annual practice with him. Recalling, Apostle Suleman, in July 2016, doled out N7 million cash to youth corpers who were on courtesy visit to the OFM headquarters.

Since knowing and accepting Christ, we learned, Apostle Suleman has not relented in identifying with the poor.
Narrating his life story and source of his radicalism and love for giving, the ‘Oracle of God’ said “it runs in the family.”
In his words, “I didn’t just wake up and start giving or I pretend to be taking on challenges; no, it is a family thing. In my family, we don’t run for fights and we always win our battles.”
Speaking on why he would never stop fighting for justice and fairness or be blackmailed to stop sharing with the poor, Apostle Suleman recalled his father’s days in the army and how he fought injustices until he was plotted against and eventually he retired voluntarily into private business.
“The late (head of state) General Sani Abacha was one of my father’s boys in the army,” he narrates.

“My father was known for confronting acts of injustice in the army. But they plotted against him and almost killed him. He retired voluntarily and went into business. He was one of the major dealers at UAC. It was from him I learnt the art of business.”

“I shared in the wealth of the family, which tells you that I’m from a privileged background. I never rented a house all my life. But when I gave my life to Christ, my father had issues with me. So, I stopped leveraging on my father’s wealth and started on my own. I have never looked back in giving and confronting challenges, and winning,” concludes the man of God who regularly gives out in charity to people irrespective of tribe and colour'
