fadeofresh: Hi Everyone,
This is my first time posting. Though I've been doing under-G reading for some weeks now.
My wife and I just applied for our international passports. Wanted to know if it's ok to proceed with WES before writing IELTS.
Noticed I couldn't apply for IELTS & TEF without the passport and since the WES looks like it might take some time. I just thought i should start that process now while I await my passport in some few weeks.
Yes you should start WES asap. It can take time so you don't want to take too long in beginning the process 1 Like |

ShininLite: Bros...think of it like this...
There are people out there who may be helped with this question.
Don't just focus on the fact that my friend currently seats at 441.
There are people who need this information to scale up their scores.
So please...does anyone know if International IT certifications are evaluated as second post secondary certificate with any evaluation agency? Does it add points to your Express entry CRS score?
Thank you for your responses...
Does he have BCS qualifications in IT? If yes, it can add points |

freshdad: Yes, tax is compulsory and from what I gathered from @bigfido who got PR as a self employed applicant, he presented his personal income tax and ensured they are upto date so I think you should sort out LIRS. However, if it would make you sleep well, you can folllow up with FIRS I did this today. I went to file for my tax receipts to be sorted. I'm a one man business so they said I can only do personal income tax. |

Good day
Please I have a question for those who went through the self employment route. I'm a self employed applicant and I want to know how many reference letters from clients will suffice as part of proof for my work experience (business)
Thank you in advance for your response |

alwayspositive8: But the thing is just with the various reviews online,is it likely for one to get an upgrade in reading?... But since remark is a bit cheaper in BC than MOD you could give it a try....All the best bro... I will probably just go for a re-sit
I wrote with MOD on my 2nd and 3rd attempts and I ended up with 6.5 in writing both times. I ran back to BC and aced it on my 4th. People have passed with MOD too so no one knows for sure but my advice is to practice really hard! I had the pleasure of putting my practice notebooks away yesterday and I realised i was doing 8-10 practise tests per day. I mainly used www.ieltsonlinetests.com for listening then switched to YouTube when I was done with it. Reading was ieltsfever and mini-ielts.com Writing was Ieltsliz both her free and paid resources I never really touched speaking. I think the first 3 attempts gave me enough experience. Just keep at improving. I think what also helped me was that I wasn't just preparing for IELTS but used it as an.opportunity to improve my English and reading passages gave me some knowledge on different range of topics I would ordinarily not seek out. You'll do great as long as you practice and it becomes a part of you. 13 Likes 1 Share |

mumsjoy: Good morning house, pls anyone with an idea of where IDP and BC exam centre is in Enugu! IDP currently do not have a center in Enugu. Only Lagos. Abuja and PH. BC does but I think you are advised on the venue and probably not a specific place. You should call the british council office on Monday to confirm. Hope this helps 1 Like |

Peterolums: GUYS I need help , i have Bsc from FUTA , Msc from UI. Everyother requiremenmt met. 8.5,7,7,7. age 28, 5 years experience . i want to do ECA with WES. But i need to know first .
do i have to evaluate both Bsc and Msc results . Also is it a must to send WAEC. LASTLY , i want to know is tehre anyway i can fasttrack this WES program . dont want it to go beyond 2 months . thanks
Evaluate only the Msc as it gives you the max points for education. You have absolutely no control over how long the evaluation will take so just relax do your part and wait. and yes it is now a must to submit WAEC but you can avoid it by using other bodies like ICES and IQAS |

I can finally share my first good news on this thread.
After a grueling 6 months of transcript and verification issues with OOU for my diploma attained in 2006, my ECA is finally ready. Completion date was September 19 but only God and WES knows why it took so long
Also my degree equivalent from the UK (British Computer Society ) was evaluated to be a canadian bachelors degree so I can now officially claim points for two certificates! So if you or someone you know has BCS qualifications in IT, they should evaluate it
Thank you newmum and happytbaby for encouraging me to go through the naija stress of evaluating my diploma. I spent almost 150k and 4 trips to ago-iwoye. Coming back home late at night with bad roads and crazy drivers. If you know Epe express way, you will understand. This is not ppr but its a breakthrough for me. Now awaiting IELTS tomorrow. 56 Likes |
