When I see people try to defend their disbelief in God i laugh. Why spend so much time trying to convince others of the inexistent/inactiveness of someone you claim doesn't exist or care?

Here's the hard pill you don't want to swallow, life is good and bad, everyone including children of God will go through life. It is left to you to decide what you make out of it. When I go through bad times, I say "God it's that time again help me like you have done before."

There's divine protection in times where bad situation could lead to destruction if a child of God goes through it but how many people know how God communicates to warn of danger ahead? Yours is just to open mouth waaah and blame God.

Why are people having a problem with my chosen scenario?

If you trust in someone to take care of you, that person fails in that duty, will you continue to trust that individual again?

On pages of Nairaland, worshippers and their pastor were kidnapped in Delta State, these are individuals who went yo pray to God.

Why pray to a God who cannot do the basic job of protecting you, a God who sits back and enjoys seeing you suffer and ravaged.

Does it mean he is not all powerful or does not even exist? Have you ever asked yourself those questions?

I have this scenario playing out in my mind and I will like everyone to weigh in and give me their honest opinions.

Let's assume your name is Charles and you have a 6 year old daughter and you also have a close friend whose name is Obi.

You and Obi have been friends for more than 10 years and one day, you were going to work, no one us at home and, you asked Obi to take care of your daughter.

Obi agreed afterall, what are friends for right? He came over and sat with your six year old daughter looking after her.

Now, an ugly incident happened while you were away, someone broke into your home, a criminal and a serial sex offender, he attacked your daughter, the poor girl was screaming and crying hysterically in fear, Obi was sitting down, watching the whole incident and did NOTHING.
He could have called 911, he could have directly intervened but he sat there and did nothing, as a matter of fact, he found the whole incident to be amusing.
At the end, the poor girl got raped and blood every where under the watchful eyes of her caretaker, Obi who did not lift a finger to help the poor girl during the whole ordeal.

Now, you are back from work to find your daughter unconscious and ravaged, you were told Obi, your best friend, entrusted with care of your daughter, did nothing to help in her time of need.

My question, what will your reaction be to Obi knowing what you know now? Will you still continue to be best friends and chummy with him? Will you still continue to trust him with your family members?

I need your honest opinion and please stick to the topic
