Hmm! Someone just told me that "Flatter" refers to flattening someone. Truly when we are flattered we feel like we fall and are flattened.

Just that flatter refers to a sweet fall. Nevertheless, it is still a Fall.

No wonder sometimes when you try to flatter some women they get angrier and walk away meanwhile they were doing it to you earlier. This life is deep o and there are many things to know.

I've read books that are so good I'm disappointed they end.

Over 1000 pages Atlas Shrugged by the obnoxious Ayn Rand (the bible of the tea party), was so good that the consolation was the equally good and lengthy Fountainhead. Pity everything else she wrote wasn't so good nor long, which was a good thing. The writing is what was good about it. The ideology was obnoxious.

Death is the cessation of life. I'll miss my Lord when it happens to me, and that to me is bad.

Wouldn't miss you though. In fact, I'll be delighted I don't have to read you no more.
See the bold proves you wished it ended and you were happy it did. Secondly, you mixed up good writing with good story, meanwhile we are talking about good stories ending.

Eg Famous five harry potter, Tolkien all nice stories spanning several volumes but they got to the point that they just must end else they would be useless. And the proof that they properly ended is that even you did not ask for a continuation.

I did not say that Life is boring, I said if you lived very long (like over 150 years) life would start to get boring. I even gave an analogy using fried rice and chicken, if you ate fried rice and chicken everyday for like 2 years plus, you'd get bored of it.
Also the absence/opposite of something makes you treasure that thing there by giving it meaning. For example, if humans were immortal and ageless we wouldn't treasure life because we would have excess of it. But because life has an end and we can die anytime due to accidents/illnesses, it makes us treasure our lives.
This is not True. Life's waning from 70's upwards is soley based soley on the Curse and Commadment of death levied upon man by His Maker. So the boredom and tastelessnes of life is as a result of man's shut down.

Thus, as our fore fathers have shown us through their long lives where they still went farming and dancing even at 100plus, when our Maker gave man life longer than 150years, a 150yrs old man was still as vibrant with the zest for life as a 25 year old man.

So the boredom you are drawing is as a result of shut down if not we would still be looking forward to fried rice when we are 1025years as we did when we started eating it at 3 years.

The thing is how can you give an answer to an equation that's not complete. We only have one side of the equation which is what comes before death. Given the knowledge of this part of the equation, we could attempt to paint a picture through the context of our individual lives but imo, it'll not be complete without the other side of the equation which is what comes after...
I know you are a mad person and you will insalt me because i make you show the world how very foolish you atheists are but i will address any seemingly reasonable thing i see you saying.

No equation is ever complete. They all stop where the maker of it chooses to stop it. And that is why we have short equations and long equations.

And whether short or long, mathematicians solved them.

i personally think death is good, Because you have enjoyed from the life cycle and when you die you should be buried back so you can give back to the earth.

but i think death is amoral. Majority of us view death as neither inherently good nor bad. From a purely naturalistic or biological perspective, death is a fundamental part of the life cycle. It happens to all living things and is not judged by moral standards. In this sense, death just is, and moral judgments about it arise only in relation to how it occurs or what causes it.

i hope i answered your question
Nature through Sex and food prove that if we have enjoyed a thing, we want to keep enjoying it, so you are talking rubbish here, sorry.

Whether death is good or not depends on the situation. The definition of good also varies depending on situation.
Personally, i think that if you've lived your life to the fullest, then death is just an eternal rest/retirement.
Death is very useful because life will eventually get boring. Anything that you do too much will always eventually get boring. If you ate fried rice and chicken everyday for a long period of time it will eventually get boring.
Just as light without darkness is meaningless, beauty without uglyness is meaningless, good without evil is meaningless, richness without poverty is meaningless, intelligence without stupidity is meaningless, joy without sadness is meaningless, work without play is meaningless, so therefore LIFE without DEATH is meaningless.
The opposite of something Helps us to appreciate that thing better.
Wrong!

Timubu is living life to the full like Queen Eliza, surely he does not want to die. So life isn't boring and as developed countries have shown, light without nepa taking light is not meaningless.

EnlightenedUFO:
I believe what you think is good or bad is subjective to your belief.

There's no absolute way to clarify what death can be. People die horrific cruel deaths and some people call it a bad death, and some die in their old age, sitting on the beach or having a cookout while their grandkids are playing in the background, and that some people will call a good death.

But I don't think a death is either good or bad. It's just an inevitable stage of life we will all pass through.
Everything is either good or bad. So if death is good for you, then it is. but if it is bad for you, so it is also.

That is what we are reminding you that since Genesis 6, you men have always been very wicked, barbaric and evil,

more slaves more power to the master. grin grin
See how you are just changing post from one issue to another exactly how Liars are always changing their stories, all because you have a very evil mind and therefore you can not see nor appreciate the goodness of God and His Laws

Does ordinary common sense not tell you that this means that the servant and Master relationship was so good to the point the servant has become like a son to the master such that the master even gave him a wife, most likely one of his daughters?

In your natural life have you seen a Master giving a wife to his servant?

is it not with even plenty of sneaking out and abeg that a servant can marry?

So where can you find a Master who even gave his servant a wife?
Answer:Only in a great master servant relationship where the servant has even become like a son and family and this Law is definitely stopping the wickedness the servant will do in getting all these geeat things from his Master who sees him as his child and family yet he decided to walk away.

If you did all these to an employee eg train train him, sent him abroad, gave him above bormal privileges and you even wished he could marry you daughter, whch he did. After all these he still resigned, would you not call the employee a wicked ungrateful person? And would youlet him take all the benefits and gifts you gave him? No. you wouldn't

And that is what this Law Says.

So rest, you are thinking and talking rubbish because you are too too evil and therefore you can never see the good nor God!

LordReed:
Good is how we define certain states of our being , events that happen to us and/or actions we take which we find very agreeable.

Death, I think defies our conventional view of what is good or bad because it cannot fit into how we see either. Especially since it is a state in which we cannot send or receive reports on the state of our being or of events or of actions. It's a state in which there is neither agreement or disagreement. As living beings looking at death we are befuddled just by how inscrutible it seems.
We find many things agreeable but they do not mean that they are good eg rent, paying for licenses and very many unnatural things that have been forced upon us.

So what is good? Good is that which is good as proven by the smile/joy such thing or act delivers to a person and persons.

Good is a personal experience but the fact that a thing or action is truly and fully good is confirmed by the abundance and collation of persons and members of a community who reconfirm that they too experienced that that which is said to be good, is good.

So, to the question, is death good thing?

Looking at its origin as disclosed by the Bible, prima facie, death is bad because it was a cessation of something good like when a sweet party was going on and then suddenly armed beasts called army or kidnappers come to stop it.

However, if a you were a slave tortured daily, or a person having a misery full living as many have confessed death appears to be a good thing.

But the badness of death is again reconfirmed by the fact that those with misery full living still do not easily and readilly throw themselves into its mouth.

Meanwhile, we have also seen certain people who have expressed a strong willingness to die and they did jump into the waiting mouth of death, so to them, it is a good thing

So i submit. death is about 90% bad and 10% good.
Christianity EtcRe: God through the Bible Was what stopped.Slavery by StillDtruth(op):
Here we see the first country Denmark, which followed God and the bible to abolish slavery, when they became Christian.

Wikipedia
...Swedish archaeology shows that mostly male slaves were killed to follow their master into the afterlife (just as Africa did) and not females. Sacrificed female slaves have however been found sacrificed in Norway, where a woman found in the grave showed signs of having her throat slit in a similar manner to the execution described by Ibn Fadlan.[13][14]

During the 11th century, the Viking nations of Denmark, Norway and Sweden became Christian, which made it impossible for them to continue to conduct slave raids toward Christian Europe and sell Christian Europeans to Islamic slave traders.

Thereby proving that slavery began to be stopped because of God, the Bible and Christianity!

SLAVERY

A slave’s life – when people were property
The concept that all human beings are born with fundamental rights was not prevalent in the 1700s. If you were born at the bottom of society, you lived a life in poverty and with hard work and toil. Other people could be owned just like goods and money. This was a view of humanity that made life hard for servants all over the world – and not least for the enslaved laborers that worked under inhuman conditions in colonies in Africa, Asia, and America

The British slave trade opponents’ campaign logo shows a kneeling enslaved laborer in chains who asks: ”Am I not a Man and a Brother”

A slave’s life
Upon reaching the colonies, life did not really improve. The first generation of enslaved laborers did not speak a language that the Europeans understood and were thus unable to protest when they were sold as goods. After that, they were not considered as people with a will of their own, but merely as other people’s property. Ownership in this sense was as absolute as for goods or money. Enslaved individuals could be sold, pawned, and rented out.

Servants worldwide
The hard and backbreaking work – many hours and every day – the enslaved laborers had in common with servants in large parts of the world in the 1600s and 1700s. It was a life characterized by illness and infant mortality. But the enslavement applied to all aspects of his or her life. Many slave owners considered it their right to rape the female enslaved. Children of enslaved could be sold to other plantations, thereby separating children from their parents.

The right to punish
Slave owners also had the right to punish their enslaved laborers – and any enslaved who broke the rules was severely punished. According to regulations from September 5, 1733 by Governor Philip Gardelin, enslaved laborers who committed grand larceny or who encouraged others to escape, for example, were to be pinched three times with red-hot iron tongs and then hanged. If you tried to run away, you were to have your leg amputated or – if your master forgave you – get 150 lashes and lose one ear.

That Exodus21 is interesting. It's the chapter that gives power to slave owners on most barbaric act in slavery, which says slave masters can beat the h*ll out of their slaves as long as they dont die because they (slaves) are their properties. What is more gruesome than that. If you have refused to be logical, will you be happy if me and you are to go back into those days and I have your children as my slaves, will you be happy if I beat sh_i_t out of them because God allowed me to do so as long as I don't kill them for you? Don't be primitive in the name of religion bro.[/quote]SIRTee15 post=132179326
I hope know as late as late as early 20th century, it's common practice for employers to flog their workers as part of punishment for wrongdoing. We are not so far removed from the time when physical punishment was administered and accepted by almost everyone as legitimate.
For example, physical chastisements were commonly employed as punishment for crimes committed and for the enforcing of discipline in the military even up till today. Generals flog junior officers as part of punishment in barracks. Even in NYSC camps, soldiers flog graduates as part of punishment; the more u protest the flogging, the more they wack u with koboko until u become humble. Teachers continue to flog stubborn and disobedient students in schools up till today.
In Nigeria, apprentice are flogged regularly if they displease their Masters and it's considered part of the training. Go to factories in Lagos, Lebanese and Chinese boss beats their employee on regular basis for minor things as coming late to work.

Foreign countries are not exempted. In the British Navy, flogging for disobedience or insubordination was common until the mid-19th century, and caning was used until the mid-20th century. In Singapore, flogging is still an official form of punishment for certain crimes such as spitting in public.

I dont really understand this your yapping about flogging. U better thank God the privilege u have that you or your children will not go thru flogging in the hands of an employer in this modern time. People get flogged every day all in a bid to put food on the table for their families.

This your noise about a master beating his slaves in ancient times makes no sense, even workers gets flogged in this modern age.

StillDtruth already explained the verse is about God instituting labour laws to ensure abuse is curtailed and excessiveness is punished.

Besides if u beat your slaves into permanent injury, who will then work the field. Is that not a loss to the master himself.

abeg this one na no be talk, na wokeness and trying to sound politically correct they worry u. Live in the real world man.
