Great12m:
Edo state is almost bigger than all the 5 south east states, very soon all the land in south east will be occupied/filled with human activities and they will have no land to farm and they will come begging us in edo to please lease some land for them to farm to feed their biafra nation or they die of hunger. Haha grin grin
Yet Edo state fall under 24 hours when the Biafran soldiers passed through it to Ore cheesy cheesy

If Lagos can accommodate almost 18Million people, then SE will be big enough.
PoliticsRe: Oyo State Is Bigger Than All South East States by Stingman: 5:11pm On May 17, 2019
GreyLaw:
Not that one needs to reply to a thread dripping with ignorance, but we can note the following:

Land size:

Anambra: 4841
Imo: 5530
Ebonyi: 5670
Abia: 6320
Enugu: 7161.
Delta: 17698
Edo: 17802
Oyo: 28454 (Oyo is quite large. The largest in the SW)

The total for the SE is 29522. All measurements in Kilometer squared. For the sake of facts, how is Oyo bigger than the whole SE put together? How is Delta or Edo bigger than the SE put together, let alone a local government in any of these states bigger than the SE put together?

Moreover Delta and Rivers have large portions of land home to people of Igbo extraction. Nigeria is the 14th largest country in Africa yet is the most populated by far. Doesn't that teach you anything? In fact, the SE is one of the most densely populated areas in the world.

Well, not here to argue, just to present facts.
Nobody cares about any land mass. What have the north done with their land mass nor the west?

When I opened a thread on the region that contributes more of the $25 billion sent by Nigerians in the diaspora every year, the OP will closed it, but has allowed this useless thread to continue? The smallest region SE, contributes more than all the other regions. It contributes more than the entire 19 northern states.

Arewa Youth Assembly (AYA), the legislative arm of Arewa Youths Forum, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure that he spreads the appointment into his next cabinet evenly across the country.

Arewa Youth Assembly (AYA), the legislative arm of Arewa Youths Forum, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure that he spreads the appointment into his next cabinet evenly across the country.

It said the call became necessary following the criticism that greeted the appointments made by President Buhari in his first term, where some regions and groups alleged lopsided appointment.

The Youths in a rally held on Thursday in Abuja called on the President to look beyond party affiliation and appoint people who are competent and will also represent the various regions and groups in the country.

The Speaker of AYA, Mohammed Salihu Danlami, while addressing journalists, said: “What the nation requires is mature nationalistic leadership that will accommodate all Nigerians and provide an all-inclusive fair treatment for all the divergent groups in the country on the basis of equality and fairness to everybody.

“As we approach the evenings of this tenure and are set for the commencement of the second tenure, we cannot but lend our voices to call on President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure that enemies of our collective forward voyage as a nation are not given any excuse to embark on their adversarial stock in trade.

“It is on this note that we herein use this medium to call on Mr President to ensure the even distribution of appointments in the next government that will be formed post-May 29th. Appointments in the Security Services, Ministerial Positions, Headship of Agencies and all such related appointments which require the intervention of the President.”

The youth group warned President Buhari against those who would want to misdirect him by advising that appointments should be based on the number of votes he got from each state and region.

“We are not unaware of the fact that those who thrive at dissent and national division are already spinning their yarn of misdirection and calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to make appointments based on the votes he got from the respective States and Regions.

“This position is totally antithetical to national integration, cohesion and unity. We, therefore, call on President Buhari to discountenance such negative calls that are not in the interest of the nation and ensure that these appointments are distributed equitably across the geopolitical zones on the basis of merit.

“An even spread of appointments is the surest key to national unity as this will silence the voice of those calling for secession,” Danlami said.

“We call on Mr President to place the nation first and above all other interests. Those that approach the plough board of national service with religious, regional or tribal sentiments should be shoved out the window.

“No region will be happy if they are consigned to the backwaters of our national leadership affairs. Inclusive governance, on the other hand, will unite the whole nation and thus no region will fold her arms and watch while crisis engulfs another region as we will see ourselves as one indivisible entity.

Dude, i hate LIARS that is my problem with you. Were the pictures you posted from any of the estates that you later listed? == NO!

Perhaps i went too far to say Ugwuanyi had Never developed any estate, but he had not performed as much as the tradition of a typical Governor of Enugu State would. Even WTC has less than 10 one-storey buildings which isn't even up to Loma Linda estates. Yet, we always thought Chimaroke was the worst in promoting new estates.
Did I mention any estate in my first post? How did I lie? You started the estate thing. I was on the development of sections of the city, but you barged in with estates. So far, I have not seen any lie. You don't expect everybody to follow your views or opinions. It's rude and shows a massive lack of home training and proper upbringing. Ugwuanyi has NEVER started any estate in Enugu except in Nsukaa! Shame on you for claiming Heliu or even Jedidiah as Ugwuanyi's estates. Yes, he was Governor when they were built. But what was his contribution in helping land acquisition of even providing access roads for new developers to come to Enugu? == ZERO!

Tomorrow, i can see Buhari claiming he built the estates in Enugu because he was President when people built it to address housing deficit and he contributed ZERO to the effort to make it happen.

An ambitious effort to shore up the internally generated revenue base of Enugu state has begun in earnest, with the launch of a new town development along the Enugu-PortHarcourt Expressway that will yield over N1trillion to the coffers of the government.

The new layout, christened, Heliu residences (an acronym drawn from the name of the state governor, His Excellency Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Heliu) is the first district being created by the state government since the creation of Enugu state, 25 years ago.

[b]Your picture is deceptive by posting older estates which predates this administration. The key burning issue today is about Government not being strategic in opening up more lands to make cost of land affordable. The Estates you see today at zoo gardens, Independence Layout Phase II and Golf Estates were possible because previous administrations worked hard to make them available in the past 10 - 15 years. Gov. Ugwuanyi's regime has not opened any new estates in Enugu city, except a few he opened at Nsukka where his priority lies anyway.
If you don't know, it is possible to ask before making wrong aspersions. My intent was not on who created the estate, but to show that the estates are being developed by individuals.

Saying the Ugwuanyi didn't create any estate, means you are ignorant. These are the estates created by his administration in Enugu. Completion of their development is a different thing altogether.

1. Heliu Estate

2. Ranger Phase 2

3. Valley Estate

4. Citadel Estate

5. Transparency Estate

6. WTC Estate.

PoliticsRe: Biafra Technology Had Solution To Nigeria’s Problems –tsav by Stingman: 2:56pm On May 12, 2019
So, in this article, I will present to you five things Biafrans invented during the civil war using Igbo technology.

1. Uli Airstrip: Although Igbos were cut-off from the rest of the world during the civil war, their ingenuity came to the fore as they constructed the Uli airstrip and when that airstrip was bombed, they repaired it in record time and under the most trying circumstances. They would go on to repair Uli not once and not twice using Igbo technology.

2. Fuel from palm fruit: The Igbos refined petrol from a variety of non-fossil fuels, including from but not limited to palm products (from which they also produced diesel).

3. War Missiles (Ogbunigwe): Using the same Igbo technology, my fellow countryman – Gordian Ezekwe – manufactured surface to air missiles which Igbos also adapted to surface to surface missiles.

4. Fighter Jets: The Igbos are the only tribe to convert commercial planes to fighter jets and weaponized them. That was no mean feat in 1967.

5. Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC): Using not but Igbo technology, the Igbos built the first indigenous armored personnel carrier in Black Africa is the Red Devil during the Nigerian Civil War.

Reno Omokri, former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan once said: “In fact, when in 2012, the Nigerian Army rolled out the igirigi and promoted it as the first indigenous armored personnel carrier, they were wrong.

“I am not a Biafran. I am proudly Nigerian. And beyond that, I am a proud dark skinned Black African yet I make bold to say that the igirigi is not the first indigenous APC.

“The Nigerian Civil War ended in January 1970 and the Nigerian Army unveiled the igirigi in July of 2012. If they had converted the Red Devil to their own use, they would probably be talking about a greater feat in the year 2012.

“That is where we failed as a nation.

“This is why I was so disgusted with the minister of science and technology, Ogbonnaya Onu for aspiring, on Nigeria’s behalf, to produce pencils by 2018! I mean this man is the first civilian governor of the old Abia state which today encompasses both Abia and Ebonyi states.”

Using the same Igbo technology I have been talking about, on a flipside, there is hardly anything including electronics, pharmaceuticals, spirits and wines that the Igbos cannot counterfeit today. (Imanuel Jannah)
