It is far from over. BTW, If there should be a revolution or anarchy, the poor will suffer most and in the end, another group of corrupt politicians will climb the saddle and the whole corruption thing continues. Check it almost 8 out of 10 nigerians are corrupt, from those that commit exam malpractice to those that steal their employer's money or time to corrupt politicians. So who will wipe out the 8 out of 10 corrupt individuals so they dont get elected after the "revolution" |
Its a pity though. Lagos Carnival continues, will this round 2 last another week?? |
Round 2 !!! I hope ppl are prepared?? |
NLC said in their meeting that FG must revert to N65 first before any negotiation. Doesnt look like FG is willing to do that. Everyone better prepare for the long one!! Dont say you werent warned. |
@karlfon dont mind these NL warriors. We survived the war, wetin be fuel subsidy. Btw its wrong for NLC to force ppl to shut their office. |
wear bullet proof vest, head gear. Never let the police single you out. Never make yourself obvious. Dont appear to be leading the pack. |
Am currently in enugu its not true!! Let them tell you which part of enugu they are burning the mosque i will personally drive there and take pictures for you. |
LoL impeach an elected president cause some ppl are lazy and choose to party day after day instead of working all in the name of getting free oil using fuel subsidy corruption?? We dey watch , Let them try who is holding them back? |
THey should go to IBB's house!! Which one be yeye campaign office?? |
diluminati:Have you ever thought if they support the subsidy removal?? |
Na him go kill am?? Desperation! The election pain the guy well well. He may still be having nightmares of the election. |
Government did that before subsidy was removed. Labour decline the offer. |
@FACE, Oyo state governor has declared 7pm to 7am curfew. is oyo about to fall?? |
ceejay80s:The Egytians and tunisians kept vigil at the protest ground. They wailed and cried against corruption and they came out in millions. You guys go to bed by 5pm, dance and play music and party 10am till 1pm insisting you want corruption to continue. Were you guys up to 5,000 compare that to lagos population. I fail to see how you will achieve the result egyptians achieved?? BTW months after the egyptians got what they wanted, they are now going back to the streets that what they wanted was not what they want again. When chaotic minds mix together, what do they get?? |
Onyocha:Since the larger percentage of lagos/ibadan dont want the touts to molest them they stayed at home. If there was no threat of molestation or violence against those that want to work, would they have stayed at home?? What percentage of lagos/ibadan population rely on daily sales for feeding?? What percentage of this percentage will get revenue lost reimbursed after the dust is settled?? While the NLC will be paid their salaries?? |
What percentage of ibadan and lagos came out for the protest?? |
blacksta:for your yeye mind |
alj harem:AMEN to the bolded. Capital AMEN to that. And Kudos to GEJ should he be able to pull that by year end!!!! Its good you are joining the progressive train bro harem |
alj harem:How about a protest at the doors of the past rulers that put us in this mess?? Ever thought of that?? |
Did protesters succeed in disrupting business activities?? they did. In how many states? 8 states out of 36 states Was their voice heard?? Yes loud and clear, they used big speakers to drum their drums into their ears. Who felt the most pain today?? The market woman that survives on daily sales, the protesters were worn out and no restaurants to eat in. DID THE PROTEST SUCCEED?? THEY DIDNT CHANGE ANYTHING CAPITAL FAILURE Protesters or occupiers, pls wait till tomorrow make una see the sun way go hammer tomorrow! Btw i thought you guys were going to sleep on the roads even take bath on the roads to drive home your point. (that was how the egyptians did theirs) So tomorrow you guys should go out with your mats pillows mattresses and water containers for your bath on the ROAD. |
alj harem:So are occupiers going to sleep on the roads since yaba is not occupying?? I thought it was all the same plan and take off?? If the occupiers dont sleep on the roads and in motor parks, Then am very disappointed. They should then occupy transformers and high tensions if they cant sleep on the roads!! |
alj harem:Really?? Is that all for the occupiers? When egyptians did theirs, they slept on the square they even took their bath on the road. Am disappointed at these occupires. Infact they should hence forth occupy transformers |
Good news Presido. Just be Bold and strong, Those for you are more. Well Done!!!! Haters Occupy high tension, Occupy transformer!!!! |
Because most nigerians are corrupt and lazy. They want to be spoon fed by Gov. |
Oh sorry i forgot to mention am currently in Enugu as i write. Buses are running even those going to lagos and abuja are boarding. should i send you pictures or movies?? |
Beaf is very right. Every one is open for business here, banks are working, schools are on. Very few ppl are indoors. No noise or even large gathering at all. Pple are not even gathering to discuss they issue. The markets are open. The main view here is that we are adjusting, marking up price of our services and products to cover cost and every one here has drastically reduced movement to just where is necessary cause they still want to be driving their cars. |
Is this all they can do?? I was thinking Lagos will be on fire by now, Half burnt by 1pm and completely razed by evening then GEJ will probably reverse it to 65naira. Here, banks are open, schools are running everyone is going their normal business. Protesters here if any are just at home. |
Your allowances are calculated on your basic + transport + utility etc Ghana has had steady power supply for more than five years so they don't run their lives on gen.
but the protesters are not protesting because power isnt constant. So are you saying if there was steady power supply they would not be a protest because of subsidy removal??. Maybe The buses and cars in Ghana ride on water ![]() alj harem:So if there was constant power supply there would be no protest ![]() I have never seen anyone cook with fuel in Nigeria. The last some ppl tried it they were roasted alive. Are you saying you use fuel to cook in your house?? So the cars and buses in Ghana i want to know, do they run on fuel?? or they run on heavy water?? Are there no transport companies in Ghana?? Why is there no protest in Ghana as they too just removed subsidy |
The last i heard Allowances are calculated from basic salary ![]() Why is Ghana not protesting their subsidy removal?? |
Nigerians are spoilt kids. Ghana removed their subsidy and am wondering why they didnt occupy their country?? Maybe its Nairaland Nigerians that are very lazy. |
WOW GEJ; Your moves are smart, and yet some people have the gut to call you foolish. Even though you have not won the battle with Boko Haram, am waiting to see the way you will end that. I have not seen you loose a battle yet. Always a step ahead! |
@Alj_harem, Your post on this thread says lets fight subsidy first and later fight boko haram. Its an easy statement to make when none of yours has been killed! Remember this: pump price of fuel can always be altered, Government can tomorrow make it to become 70naira a litter by various means, but Government can never bring back to life a single soul that has been killed by Boko Haram I say lets unite and fight boko haram now, and talk about subsidy later! |
