Believe me, DSTV is over rated... Some people watches about 5 to 8 channels from dstv for the whole month... The rest are just there to complete number... If you find Zeeworld, Telemundo, Sports, Music, Gospel, News, etc, which I feel are the few channels most people watch, you will see them in other Cable TVs... Honestly, I left DSTV since 2012 and I never regretted it, after all I still watch the important news, sports, music and gospel channels I need. From CTL. #spitonextortingDSTV 2 Likes |

Llanthony401: You tried to analyse it the football way. ..However, Salah was so naive to want a free kick, rather than protecting himself. .. Note: He had his LEFT shoulder dislocated, not the right hand that was dragged by Ramos |

userplainly: Hey man. ..If you truly understand football and know that ill-luck do happen, you will see what happened to Salah as sheer bad luck. Did Ramos dislocate his shoulder, NO...He may have contributed to it, but he didn't. Salah's shoulder dislocation was just an accident, that can happen to anyone, while contesting ball in the air, or an awkward fall (which it actually was)... Ramos held and drag Salah's right hand, and he, being dragged, while leaning into Ramos, fell awkwardly on his left shoulder and dislocated it... That is the fact about the incident...However, I don't expect the bereaved to see clearly, while he is still mourning. Neither will I expect less from anti-Madrid/Ronaldo in extension... Madrid won, Liverpool lost...Juve cried more than this... I wish Salah quick recovery, for World Cup... 2 Likes |

phantom:The fight for Consultancy status as carried by JOHESU will only benefit those who have gone through the rigour of their different post graduate colleges...not for all, and I doubt, Radiographers would be conferred such, as they do not have such school yet...The keyword is YET. phantom:I hope this will happen, so we can see how the health sector will be well served... God bless the nigerian health sector! phantom:Just like there have been a revolving place for a REPORTING RADIOGRAPHER in other climes, same will happen in Nigeria health system... It can only be delayed but it will happen (of course, I bet you are aware of some radiographers reporting currently) phantom:As for this statement...I smile, as it still showcases who was actually talking... Nigerians, you be the judge! Im out PHANTOM[/quote] Overall, nice reasonable thoughts to some extents... Note A leader must always be seen to be the leader (by carrying everyone along) and not just saying he is one... I made this comments, as I believe I am talking to a more matured Dr. |

Diagnostic Radiographer As a diagnostic radiographer you'll use x-ray and ultrasound machines, as well as other forms of imaging technology, to look inside a patient's body and find out what's causing their illness. Working in a range of hospital departments, you'll acquire images to help with the diagnosis of illnesses and injuries. With experience, you may also contribute towards interpreting images, establishing treatment plans and helping with intervention procedures, for example the removal of kidney stones. Responsibilities As a diagnostic radiographer, you'll need to: assess patients and their clinical requirements to work out which radiographic techniques to use; perform a range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce high-quality images; take responsibility for radiation safety in your work area, including checking equipment for malfunctions and errors; manage referrals to ensure patients receive a radiation dose as low as reasonably possible; supervise visiting staff and patients in radiation work areas; help in more complex radiological examinations, working with doctors such as radiologists and surgeons; provide support and reassurance to patients, taking into account their physical and psychological needs; supervise radiography and imaging support assistants; keep up to date with health and safety guidelines, including ionising radiation regulations, to protect yourself and others. With experience, you may have the opportunity to get involved in management, teaching and research. Salary Jobs in the NHS are usually covered by the Agenda for Change (AfC) Pay Rates consisting of nine pay bands. As a newly qualified radiographer your starting salary is likely to be £21,909 (Band 5), rising up the pay scale to £28,462. As an experienced radiographer you can earn between £26,302 and £35,225 (Band 6). Typical salaries for advanced radiographers are between £31,383 and £41,373 (Band 7), while at consultant level you can earn up to £68,484 (Band 8c). Additional cost of living payments may be available to those working in London and the South of England. Non-NHS pay rates are usually competitively set and are often negotiated on an individual basis. On-call allowances and overtime payments are paid in addition to the basic salary. Income figures are intended as a guide only. Working hours You'll typically work a 37.5 hour week, which may include evenings, nights and weekends. Part-time work and job sharing are possible, depending on departmental needs. Career breaks are possible but you must keep up with technical developments during your time out and may need to take further training or study before returning https://www.prospects.ac.uk/job-profiles/diagnostic-radiographer |

This is getting messy and embarrassing by the day and so much for "World's Best Practice"... While the Doctors/Ministers in charge of Federal Ministry of Health and his Co Doctor in charge of Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity are busy making deals to perpetuate the sufferings of Nigerians, their colleagues are impatient to take over other professionals duty... A radiologist currently in the absent of those licenced to dispense RADIATION, went ahead, unlicensed and dispense radiation to the unsuspecting and helpless patient... This happened at Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki (FETHA). And one may wonder why there is so much yearnng for Professional Autonomy... Quack practice of the highest order... Information getting to our news desk, shows the picture and video of a Radiologist in the act of dispensing medical radiation; a function, that is meant only for the Medical Radiographers; recognised by the laws of Nigeria... Take Note: Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA) Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN) Medical Imaging Society of Nigeria (MISON) Association of Radiographers in Nigeria (ARN) Nigerians Medical Association (NMA) Association of Radiologist in Nigeria (ARiN) (Note:video too large to upload)

If the story that accompanies this is true, then there are many reasons why "man" should be feared. The story has it that a man requested the wife to give him the password for her phone and she refused. The man became so angry and ask her to follow him to the backyard. In her presence, used saw and sawed the phone after smashing it... To cut the story short, the woman has been very bitter and is planning on what to do. What would you advise her to do and does this man has this right...

Jokes Etc / Oga Chop, I Go Pay by Stoicbaba(m): 9:39am On Jan 23, 2018 |
I used N4,000 to buy fuel for my car, so I decided to use the remaining N1,000 I had left in my pocket to get some food in a restaurant before I face the traffic. As I ordered the food and sat down to eat, a well-dressed man in a suit sitting beside me said, "I love the way you eat, try their snail, I will pay." I hastily added four pieces of snail at a cost of N2,000 and continued eating. He said again, "You eat so well, please get a bottle of wine so that you can drink after eating." I hastily made the order and was having fun, wondering how generous the man was... My total bill came up to about N10,000. I thanked him for accepting to pay. As I stood to leave, my car key fell down and I bent to pick it. I discovered that the man was bare-footed! I thought the man was attending a certain church but 3 hefty guys immediately busted in and grabbed him by the arm. One of them said to me, "I'm sorry if this man has been disturbing you, he just escape from our psychiatric hospital this morning... I fainted! Who go pay 4 me, abeg...." " |

#Do Me l Do You# A newly married man on the second day of his marriage visited the makeup artist who worked on his wife on the wedding day. He presented a gift to her, a beautifully packed iphone 7 plus box. The make up artist was overwhelmed with joy and went on her knees greeting the man. She then opened the box with great happiness but was suddenly depressed to see a Nokia 3310 inside the box. The man now smiled and said "this is exactly the same feeling I had when I saw my wife last night after she had her bath" Scores settled 1-1 did he do anything wrong |

Politics / How You Can Determine Who Governs With Your Thumb in 2019 by Stoicbaba(m): 9:51pm On Jan 05, 2018 |
Nigeria has a population of 180 million people out of which 68.8 million registered and were eligible to vote during the 2015 General elections. Simply put, only 38% of our population registered with INEC as eligible voters. Meanwhile based on data from National Population Commission and National Bureau for Statistics, Nigeria has over 61% of its population eligible to register as voters. Funny enough only 28,587,564 turned out to vote on the day of the general election, which is just 15.9% of our population. 15% determined the fate of 85% that refused to register or turn up for elections. You are all over facebook, twitter and WhatsApp arguing, debating, postulating and proposing good governance but you have no PVC. You claim you are exposed, schooled, learned, fear God and you daily pray for God to bring good governance to his people, yet you have no PVC. Faith without works is dead. If you like prophesy, cast all the demons and anoint Nigeria, if you have no PVC, you can't stand up to be counted. Always know that bad politicians are not born but are products of people like you who don't vote. Do you have your PVC? Go to the nearest INEC office in your LGA to register. REBROADCAST TO YOUR CONTACTS AND LET US ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO REGISTER AS VOTERS. #copied |

Family / Dangers Of Allowing Your Spouse Live Abroad Or In A Different City by Stoicbaba(m): 8:57pm On Dec 26, 2017 |
When I was appointed the managing director of the Orient Bank of Uganda in 2013, I couldn’t wait to return home to break the news to my wife. The appointment I reckoned would improve my earnings, career and was in line with my set objectives. “That means that I’m resigning right away”, was my wife’s instant response to my announcement of the appointment. She was not yet done. “The children will also go with us. I shall make enquires about good schools in Uganda to ensure that our children don’t lose a session”. For my wife, she would not sacrifice her marital harmony for economic benefits or career. She was a branch manager of a topmost bank in Nigeria. I was shocked. I pleaded, “please give me some time to go to Uganda, settle down, familiarize with the new country, say for one year and I shall come for you and the kids”. I was talking to a statue. She wouldn’t take that. My wife insisted that they would join me within three months of my travel aside from the fact that she would accompany me on my first travel and return a week after. I was not surprised at my wife’s philosophy of marriage and her belief in the pre-eminence of cohabitation of a married couple. I initially deemed her stance too suffocating until I started looking around me, comparing notes, to see the effects of career or economic induced separation on marriages and family harmony. The case of Mr. Oyiboka Akidi was very eye-opening and very pathetic. Mr Akidi had relocated his family to Calgary in Canada in search of better life opportunities. He wanted his children to get better education and the wife to further her education and also work. Akidi, an assistant general manager in a Nigerian bank, had saved and paid for the trip, initial accommodation and one year school fees for the kids. He also gave the wife some money to meet their needs pending when she secured a job. The plan was that Akidi would travel to Canada once in a year during his annual vacation to visit his family. Everything was fine until two years after when Akidi noticed that the wife was no longer looking forward to his calls or enthused by his announcement of the date of his visit to Canada. He had asked his close friend to find out what was happening but the friend declined. The friend knew what was happening but would not want to be quoted. He would rather connect Akidi to a private detective who did a good job. Mr. Akidi’s worst fear was confirmed when the paid agent sent him a dossier on how his wife rocked younger Nigerian men in Canada. He introduced the men to her kids as their distant uncles. When confronted with the facts, Mrs Akidi filed for divorce. The children believed their mother and the rest is history. In the calculations of a better life for his family, Mr. Akidi forgot to factor in the fact that Calgary is very cold and that excessive cold could trigger off certain needs like cuddling and sex. Hence, Mrs Akidi cannot be blamed alone. It was a joint decision that backfired. So many men that left their families in Nigeria in search of Golden Fleece in the UK, USA and Canada have committed worse marital crimes. Theirs are even more heart-rendering. The men, usually escorted to the airports’ departure halls by their loving wives and kids, would immediately re-marry upon arrival in their new countries in the name of route for citizenship. Many others have completely abandoned their wives and kids and had married more fascinating or updated women in their new places of residence. Some no longer pick calls from home. Let nobody raise the issue of trust and infallibility of their spouses here considering that Adam and Eve were manufactured by God himself with his own hands, still they failed. Which man would be loved by God more than David still he was overwhelmed by the allure and curves of married Bathsheba? Which man would be wiser than Solomon yet he was mesmerized by very beautiful Queen of Sheeba? Just like married Abigail could not stand the magnetism and personality of David. What didn’t Delilah do with Samson? As couples plan economic improvement or migration for a better life, they should factor in the fact that staying apart for too long could be dangerous. A man or woman who lives in Lagos while his/her family lives in Enugu or Kano and who rarely visits home faces similar risks as those abroad. I must reckon with the fact that some few couples have exceptionally weathered the storm or successfully kept their secrets. There is no doubt that staying apart creates a room for temptation or change of taste. While some people can hold on, many humans react positively to a better offer. Only God knows how long and how far Adam was when the serpent arrived and had enough time to convince his wife to eat the fruit that changed not only their destinies by that of all human race. For any good husband, there is a better man out there and for any fantastic wife, there is a better woman somewhere. All it takes to get displaced as a husband or a wife is time and chance. Finished is a man whose wife had tasted the groin of another man who is far better than him in bed and who is also more comfortable and capable to provide for the wife those things she had hitherto dreamt of but never received. In the same vain, a wife loses it all whenever her husband falls into the hands of a more exposed, courteous, romantic and sexually awesome lady. It’s a natural effect of displacement. Therefore, let no spouse be too confident. It pays to either stay or move with one’s family. If you must move or let your family relocate, please don’t stay away for too long else you might regret it. Thanks. COPIED 12 Likes 1 Share |
