A lady has reportedly absconded after her boyfriend sent her a sizeable sum of money higher than what she was expecting.

A tweep known as @Austeiin on Twitter shared the story on the microblogging platform. He revealed that the affected man was hesitant to date the girl but he gave in when she insisted on wanting them to be more than friends.

She had asked her man to assist her with N200,000, but he appeared to have mistakenly transferred N2 million to her.

After she received the money, the lady blocked her boyfriend and was no where to be found.

"Nigga told you he doesn't want any emotions attached to una friendship. But you claim you love him & want more than friendship. Son of man decided to give in. You asked of #200k for assistance, nigga sent you $42MiIlion Instead. Next thing is to block nigga for 2months & ghost!"

Money she can make peacefully or overtime, from even the same guy...now she will be looking at every shadows that pass for fear of unknown

Family / Re: Dangers Of Allowing Your Spouse Live Abroad Or In A Different City by Stoicbaba(m): 9:11am On Oct 18
Stoicbaba:

When I was appointed the managing director of the Orient Bank of Uganda in 2013, I couldn’t wait to return home to break the news to my wife.

The appointment I reckoned would improve my earnings, career and was in line with my set objectives.

“That means that I’m resigning right away”, was my wife’s instant response to my announcement of the appointment.

She was not yet done. “The children will also go with us. I shall make enquires about good schools in Uganda to ensure that our children don’t lose a session”.

For my wife, she would not sacrifice her marital harmony for economic benefits or career. She was a branch manager of a topmost bank in Nigeria.

I was shocked.

I pleaded, “please give me some time to go to Uganda, settle down, familiarize with the new country, say for one year and I shall come for you and the kids”.

I was talking to a statue. She wouldn’t take that.

My wife insisted that they would join me within three months of my travel aside from the fact that she would accompany me on my first travel and return a week after.

I was not surprised at my wife’s philosophy of marriage and her belief in the pre-eminence of cohabitation of a married couple.

I initially deemed her stance too suffocating until I started looking around me, comparing notes, to see the effects of career or economic induced separation on marriages and family harmony.

The case of Mr. Oyiboka Akidi was very eye-opening and very pathetic.

Mr Akidi had relocated his family to Calgary in Canada in search of better life opportunities. He wanted his children to get better education and the wife to further her education and also work.

Akidi, an assistant general manager in a Nigerian bank, had saved and paid for the trip, initial accommodation and one year school fees for the kids. He also gave the wife some money to meet their needs pending when she secured a job.

The plan was that Akidi would travel to Canada once in a year during his annual vacation to visit his family.

Everything was fine until two years after when Akidi noticed that the wife was no longer looking forward to his calls or enthused by his announcement of the date of his visit to Canada.

He had asked his close friend to find out what was happening but the friend declined. The friend knew what was happening but would not want to be quoted. He would rather connect Akidi to a private detective who did a good job.

Mr. Akidi’s worst fear was confirmed when the paid agent sent him a dossier on how his wife rocked younger Nigerian men in Canada. He introduced the men to her kids as their distant uncles.

When confronted with the facts, Mrs Akidi filed for divorce. The children believed their mother and the rest is history.

In the calculations of a better life for his family, Mr. Akidi forgot to factor in the fact that Calgary is very cold and that excessive cold could trigger off certain needs like cuddling and sex. Hence, Mrs Akidi cannot be blamed alone. It was a joint decision that backfired.

So many men that left their families in Nigeria in search of Golden Fleece in the UK, USA and Canada have committed worse marital crimes. Theirs are even more heart-rendering.

The men, usually escorted to the airports’ departure halls by their loving wives and kids, would immediately re-marry upon arrival in their new countries in the name of route for citizenship. Many others have completely abandoned their wives and kids and had married more fascinating or updated women in their new places of residence. Some no longer pick calls from home.

Let nobody raise the issue of trust and infallibility of their spouses here considering that Adam and Eve were manufactured by God himself with his own hands, still they failed.

Which man would be loved by God more than David still he was overwhelmed by the allure and curves of married Bathsheba?

Which man would be wiser than Solomon yet he was mesmerized by very beautiful Queen of Sheeba? Just like married Abigail could not stand the magnetism and personality of David.

What didn’t Delilah do with Samson?

As couples plan economic improvement or migration for a better life, they should factor in the fact that staying apart for too long could be dangerous.

A man or woman who lives in Lagos while his/her family lives in Enugu or Kano and who rarely visits home faces similar risks as those abroad.

I must reckon with the fact that some few couples have exceptionally weathered the storm or successfully kept their secrets.

There is no doubt that staying apart creates a room for temptation or change of taste. While some people can hold on, many humans react positively to a better offer.

Only God knows how long and how far Adam was when the serpent arrived and had enough time to convince his wife to eat the fruit that changed not only their destinies by that of all human race.

For any good husband, there is a better man out there and for any fantastic wife, there is a better woman somewhere. All it takes to get displaced as a husband or a wife is time and chance.

Finished is a man whose wife had tasted the groin of another man who is far better than him in bed and who is also more comfortable and capable to provide for the wife those things she had hitherto dreamt of but never received.

In the same vain, a wife loses it all whenever her husband falls into the hands of a more exposed, courteous, romantic and sexually awesome lady. It’s a natural effect of displacement.

Therefore, let no spouse be too confident.

It pays to either stay or move with one’s family.

If you must move or let your family relocate, please don’t stay away for too long else you might regret it.

Thanks.

COPIED

Funny enough, I copied this some years back and going through it now...I wondered if I still will stand for it, in totality...

My reason being that, I have stayed for more than 18 months, away from my family...and I might say, we are one of the lucky bunches

Hiya,
Please see below my answers.

1. No I didn't have an appointment. I showed up and joined the queue for Fast Track.
2. As per documents, I submitted my old passport, passport application, payment and acknowledgement forms along with the postal order.
3. £100 Postal Order is purchased from the Post Office. It should be addressed to Nigerian High Commission.
4. I was there before noon and I collected my passport around 1500 same day.
5. Well the man at the entrance asked if I had an appointment but I told him I was there for Fast Track.

Like I previously stated, the initial process is quite chaotic but once your old passport and documents have been vetted ( whoever is in charge would sign to indicate its for Fast Track) you'll be allowed into the premises for submission and biometrics.

Regarding your response, I will state my experience, thus...

On 13/09/2020, I went for Biometric, without invitation. I followed the advice of one of us, as per obtaining £100 for Fasttracking...but, it was almost a frustrating day. As, they insisted there was no fast tracking done that day.

Long story, short...

God caused some form of confusion and I was taken in through Gate 1, and was assisted to have my data captured that day...Now awaiting my passport, which I was told, will be sometime, 2nd week of October.

Conclusively, I will say, they seem to have days for fast tracking, which is a bit of luck, and I was meant to understand that it depends on availability of passports (whether true or false...)

Best of luck guys!!!

@ Stoicbaba,

I also applied for my passport renewal in June but didn't want to wait endlessly for an appointment. I decided to use the fast track option as I knew I would get my passport the same day. It comes at a cost though as you're required to purchase a postal order of £100.

I don't think you need an appointment to attend if you're using fast track ( I only showed up on Monday 10th August and by 1530 I had my received my new passport).
I know this option wouldn't suit everyone but that's how I was able to renew my passport.

Thank you for your response...it means I have to plan for such movement as I stay up North. Thanks again for your help

These so called human right activists like Femi Falana might just be saboteurs afterall..I do not see any reason why a patrotric citizen would go to a country who is at the receiving end of his country's policies and condemn same publicly in solidarity with another nation..Even though the policy may be harsh on some Nigerians right now, but no doubt , it's in the overall interest of all Nigerians. So even if Falana is talking about the law,(I have my reservation anyway)he has to be loyal to his country first..His statement seems to be protecting the interest of other countries first ahead of his country but people like him would still come and condemn the Government for massive unemployment in the country..I lost my respect for Mr Falana on this..because the truth is, Whatever the situation of things are in Nigeria, economic strength of folks like him would never be affected badly...He is a billionare by all standard!

Family / Re: My Husband Always Tells Me To Leave His House During Quarrel by Stoicbaba(m): 2:20pm On Oct 14, 2019
Well, I am just wording nonsense, hoping there will be sense in them...

Sayings goes:

No be who first call police, wins case...

It's always good to hear from the other side...

Most couple's quarrels are best settled by themselves, no 3rd party...

Then, I will say this as well,

My wife once asked me to help talk to her colleague, who has "an abusive" husband, who always ask her to leave the house, or he will leave... (amongst many other complains)

Well, I hesitated before offering to talk to her, (as I knew her and not the husband)... A date was fixed and since we were far apart, we decided to talk on phone. She narrated how her husband was so bad to her, and not seeing anything good in her, etc etc...

I sensed she had dropped off so many details, I had to let her know that it would be of no good for me to advise, when I didn't know the whole detail(this was me hoping to get any info that might represent a small percentage of the man's side of the story, as I can't go to him)

Long story cut short, I realised there were these glaring issue (just from my few minutes of discussion o)

- Inferiority complex (due to the fact that the man earns only about 2/5 of the woman's earning...and that she didn't help it by flaunting it, either intentionally or unintentionally...)

- ego from both sides, as they fail to really understand there place in the home and the willingness to "submit" to create avenue for calm discussion, rather than heated argument...

These amongst other little things...

I tried to communicate this to her and it was very obvious that she felt that having work to provide more, the husband should understand and let go of some other things she "couldn't" do...

So, my long story is summarize in this form...

Each party should understand their place in a home(not house o), try to watch and understand each other's anger-triggered point and know how and when to reach across for meaningful discussion(with promises to actively adjust)

There is very few men or women that are wicked... Something always led to something...

Madam, just try and watch out for the best time to approach your husband with discussion and "pretend" if you can't completely submit to him... I am sure everything would be better(note,i didn't say fine, as that would be a lie)

Remember, while it is a duty for both of you to raise that home, it is believed to be yours, as a woman to keep it,(as far as no violence is involved) ...

Best of luck...

Modified (seek counseling, but don't try to apply everything, directly into your home, yours is unique to you guys o... Lol) cheers
