Well am sorry for u because we are already one ...is now to late to separate south east from south south.

u guys are now alone

U guys are not with the north neither are u with south esst and south south.

So leave us out ur misery
You know the SW can stand on its own so does not need any multicultural country that would be beset with the same troubles of Nigeria.

A beggar must always beg to be helped. That is the condition of the SouthEast. I have already implored the SS to let you be immigrant workers in a NigerDelta nation if it so happens, like the fillipinos in Qatar or UAE.

You need them because you can't stand alone, they don't need you. Anything apart from my suggestion would be a case of not knowing ones worth, a mistake I doubt the SS would make with your already notorious antecedents.

U talk trash

They said they need resource control is DAT a big deal

But u people control ur cocoa alone without sharing it other people
Anybody can farm any agricultural products they want to.

Natural resources are abound all over Nigeria. The same 13% derivative Bayelsa or Akwa-Ibom gets from crudeoil is what Ondo or Abia or Lagos gets.
Nobody worked to put natural resources in place where they are. It is not the result of any body's hardwork, but derivation is still paid at 13% whether it is in the South or North.

Oilpalm still abounds in the SS, and the farmers get the rewards of their hardwork as Coacoa farmers do.

My only problem is that other mineral resources in the country have to attract 13% derivation payments to the host states. Coal in Enugu, Tin in Jos, etc. Yet sone of these natural resources are being exploited without due regulation and control and economic accountability.
Fayemi has got his work cut out.

If Ironsi had not attempted to put the country under a central and unitary Igbo control, the problems of derivation being low at 13% would not have occurred. Now that control moved to the North, but the central and unitary system has persisted.
The same Igbos have the greatest regrets for their own actions now, being at the receiving end of a crafty unitary control agenda.

SouthSouth does not need the misery of the SouthEast. They could as well be a country of their own, while the SE remain trapped inside Nigeria without the cooperation of the SS.

Frankly put, you need them , they don't need you. A prosperous NigerDelta can have Igbo immigrants working for them like the Fillipinos in Qatar or UAE.

Let the Igbo man resolve his own problems and stop putting his problems on the SS while blackmailing the SW because of jealousy over a position they hoped to have occupied and still scheming to occupy with the same Northern enemy they keep preaching to the rest of the South.

Where the yorubas the ones that brought the ogoni cleanup? Yoruba's where against south south development from start..

What about the smart city in calabar
What about the amnesty
What about the $10billiion investment in as, rivers precisely
All these development where done out of the goodwill of other Nigerians. So you can continue with you jealousy and hatred, stop the fake love.

It sucks being an afonja.
Why does the SouthEast continue to enjoy the environmental degradation of the SouthSouth, while falsely urging the inhabitants that they are doing the right thing, but you have refused to sabotage pipelines in your region for the same cause and effect?

Why did the SE encourage the SS to reject the Lagos-Calabar rail line, claiming it only touched the SE at Aba? Must the SS suffer for your own benefit?

Why have you not caused chaos in the SE but continue to encourage the SS to make their own region inhabitable and unattractive to investors, while you seek out those same potential investments in the SE?

Was it the SE that brought about the Ogoni cleanup agenda of the Buhari government? Did the SE not implore the Ogoni people to reject any advances from Buhari government and APC? But the peope know their enemies and have stuck with Sen Magnus Abe of APC.

What exactly does the Igbo enjoy when there is chaos everywhere?

For how long will a region remain miserable and continue to campaign to have misery everywhere else while they secretly seek to better their own lot with the same enemy they had propagated to all?

Overcome your hate and your misery will end when you find a new direction. Continue with your hate and you roam about aimlessly, interchanging enemy for friend and friend for enemy.

As you have rightly diagnosed the problem of the Igbo, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. As such the problems of the miserable South continues.

A great banker nonetheless, who broke the glass ceilings.

She was compelled to apologize to Nigerian students who held her hostage on a condolence visit to the Abiola family in July 1998, for the role she played if any, in the Abacha regime.

While the points raised by the OP are valid, he refuses to entertain the thought of a new global financial system.

The present global financial/banking system starting with the origins of money as a measure of value, did not come about suddenly or at the instance of a government law or policy. But it became prevalent and universally accepted.

The world has been changing for far too long while the traditional financial system has remained in crystal. Now financial systems like the ones propagated by MMM are attaining some measure of universality. The traditional financial systems feel threatened and are pointing to the imperfections of the novel and noble ideas of the new system, as regards the absence of value. What about the imperfections of the old system?

U are the one that is useless for calling Oyegun useless. Oyegun fought against imposition of candidate and there is nothing wrong with that.
He fought against imposition by accepting a primary fraught with fake delegates, an accusation confirmed by the party panel itself?

Why didn't he fight against the disastrous election at the National Assembly? Why didn't he prevent a Yahaya Bello that clearly worked against the party in the Kogi elections, from flying the party banner in the bye election?

Oyegun is a useless party chairman who has lost the respect of all and sundry in the APC. He commands no authority at all as party chairman.
PoliticsTinubu, The Party He Formed, A Sleeping President, And A Useless Party Chairman by StOla(op):
Tinubu!

APC troubles started the day Buhari decided not to commit to deciding who would emerge as the leaders in the Senate and HOR.

While 50 APC Senators were waiting to see a president who was sleeping at the appointed time, Saraki with about 8 APC Senators and PDP senators conspired to deny his own fellow party Senators the privilege to cast their very 1st votes as elected representatives of their constituencies. Keeping in mind that the same APC had already held a party caucus mock election where Saraki had already lost to Ahmed Lawan.

Tinubu had already compromised on his preferred candidates of Sen George Akume and Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, who were the opposition APC leaders in the previous dispensation, and by right should have been elevated to the top position in the different chambers of the National Assembly - being the party with majority. Tinubu directed Akume to team up as deputy to Lawan, in deference to what was assumed the presidency preference for Ahmed Lawan.

Till today, the sleeping Buhari has refused to wake up to his responsibilities as the party leader, and no disciplinary action has been taken against Saraki and his supporting APC senators.

Oyegun as party chairman has also remained so useless and not commanding any iota of respect or authority from the rank and file of APC elected officials.

Next is the Kogi debacle that arose after Audu's death. Yahaya Bello was widely known to have been a supporter of Idris Wada of PDP, after Bello lost the APC ticket to Audu. Both Audu and Idris are Igala from the same senatorial zone, but a very popular Yahaya Bello ensured that even his own polling unit in the Ebira senatorial zone was won by Idris Wada of PDP. It is significant to note that as the 2nd runner up to Audu in the APC primaries, Yahaya Bello never attended any of the campaign rallies of candidate Abubakar Audu and running mate James Faleke, not even the ones held in his Ebira senatorial zone.

So after APC had won the election inconclusively, and had lost in Yahaya Bello's polling unit to PDP, the same anti-party Yahaya Bello was called upon to carry the party's banner in the contest over a mere 13,000 leftover votes upon Audu's demise, in preference over a running mate Jame Faleke who won his polling unit and senatorial zone for the party, and who actually campaigned for the success of the party.
Still Buhari was sleeping, and Oyegun remained useless. Anti-party activities was rewarded with an already won governorship.

Now, Ondo state primaries. Tinubu had his interest as other players had theirs too. Tinubu decides he will not support the same Akeredolu he brought to political limelight 4years earlier. Rotimi Akerodolu, SAN, was previously NBA national president, but without any political worth until Tinubu put his midas touch on him. Tinubu decides again to support another politically unknown person called Segun Abraham, Akeredolu and his team cried foul over Tinubu's support for another candidate, forgetting he was supported over others 4years ago.

What was expected was a fair primary where Tinubu's candidate would slug it out with other political interests candidates. Tinubu's candidate lost to Akeredolu and as 2nd runner up had conceded and congratulated Akeredolu, but withdrew his concession when facts emerged from the Boroffice and Oke camps that the Akeredolu camp had tampered with the delegates composition for the conducted primaries.

The party organ to review such complaints had found the accusations to be true and recommended a new primary election, useless Oyegun finally became useful in the truncation of party internal democracy, and rather ratified the fraudulent primary and confirmed Akeredolu an SAN and former NBA National President, as the winner in a fraud.

Tinubu withdrew his support and resources, and had his own candidate Abraham accept his fate in a jaundiced democratic party. Oke went on to decamp to AD to contest. President Buhari as party leader continued to sleep.

Luckily, the PDP regime of Mimiko was so terrible that even votes lost to Oke of AD, did not prevent APC from wining a PDP whose campaign promise was to finally pay the workers salary that they owed.
Tinubu immediately congratulated the winner he brought to political limelight, the party he helped form, the useless party chairman he brought into office, and the sleeping president he helped assume office. Tinubu craftily addressed president Buhari as the leader of the party. This was a deliberate admonition to the president to stop sleeping and take control of the party and stop being a spectator as APC falls apart under the leadership of a weak and useless party chairman who has refused to enforce party discipline, conduct the party convention for election into party leadership positions, and maintain the democratic ideals of the party.

3. I wonder how you can't see beyond individual self interest when it's obvious they are there not to further enrich themselves, they're already the wealthiest, but to plan the economy like successful entrepreneurs. I don't blame you though, you're a Nigerian it's what you're used to in our govt.

4. Can't fathom why any one won't applaud this man's capacity to employ the best (wo)man for the job as clearly this is guaranteed to give the best result. Instead you're still busy campaigning for Clinton who has accepted her loss. In case you missed it even Romney is begging to join Trump's bandwagon.

5. Theses are only the Economic team, wait till he selects his Security and Diplomatic advisors. You neva che chum ching.

If only we could replicate this in Nigeria, I know Nigeria will be Giant again some day.
So Obama appointed the worst for jobs?

Did you just imply the wealthy are already satisfied with their wealth? Eyaah! You are so naive. Maybe you should read up and watch the many documentaries of how such corporate titans wrecked the American and global economy in 2008. They had their pals in the Bush government who continued to provide the government absence that allowed them to do as they liked. Their government pals like these ones appointed, also had their stocks continue to rise but as insiders, knew when to cash out. When the bubble burst, the poor whose taxes were not reduced, paid for the excesses of the rich.
After the Bush regime, the government appointees simply went back to their private sector positions with applause from their capitalist constituency whose interest they had served.

They did not feel the heat of the global economic meltdown. The average Joe did. Now Trump has made the mistake of putting the same heartless calibre back in government, despite his non-partisan intentions, these wolves of Wall street only care about getting richer.

You must think these wealthy types are the conscientious ones like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Warren Buffet, or Mark Zuckerberg?
These are hungry capitalist who seek to only grow and grow without recourse to the society or country.

When these capitalist fraudsters required bailout from the people of America, requiring tax funds they had ensured had little of their own contribution and more of the regular folks', they refused to let go of their many private jets, and also rejected government attempts to limit the financial compensation of senior executives in their companies.

These are the people you even faintly imply are satisfied with their wealth?

I hope your belief in them remains after 1year in power.

What do you advise we do to show gratitude?
Foreign AffairsRe: Donald Trump Appoints Adebayo Ogunlesi, A Nigerian In His Economic Advisory Team by StOla:
It is Ogunlesi not Ogunlensi.

Secondly, he is Ijebu from Ogun state, not Ondo state. His father is Professor Ogunlesi, the first Nigerian professor of medicine.

As for Trump and the Republicans, they have a penchant for assembling capitalist gurus, that in turn wreck the solid economy already achieved by the Democrats.

Bush made sure he wrecked the economy he inherited from Clinton. Obama cleaned up the mess of Bush, now a Republican Trump has come to inherit a stable democrat engineered economy.

How do the Republicans wreck the economy?
They invite all their capitalist friends to run the country, who as a matter of first priority, erase all forms of government regulations in their own respective business sectors. Bluntly put, they are in power to see how best to grow their own businesses. They continue to take all manner of greedy risks, even if they have to bet against America.

They quickly cut taxes for the wealthiest of the wealthy, claiming such increase in disposable income would be reinvested in the economy by creating more jobs. When the charade falls apart, they run back to beg for government bailout with tax payers funds, while still flying about in chartered flights living an illusion called American Dream.
The average Joe remains average.

Time will tell if Trump will wreck it in typical Republican fashion, while the short memory Americans run back to the Democrats for succour in a cycle that never changes.

My question remains which power project has Buhari inaugurated despite having the highest budget in the history on Nigeria in this 2016,yet all we hear of are media promises of I will do this and that.

Pls stop this recession excuses, the 2016 budget is the highest in the history of Nigeria,How about the money from subsidy removal, recovers looted funds,65 naira VATon bank withdrawals, most especially the money from the hike in electricity tariif.

Well Buhari promised eldorado thats why u gullibles voted for him so let him fulfill his promises, except he comes out to apologize to Nigeria he was high on tuwo when he promised,1$ =1naira,price of PMS 50 naira and also the minister of darkness redemption promise of six months then they remain nothing more than scam artist.
I voted for buhari primarily on the promise to fight corruption. My disappointment with him is that he is too soft and slow about it, even when others think him to be tyrannical about it. By now our prisons should have been overflowing with convicts while government should be planning on building bigger prisons as there is no limit to the wonderful ability of Nigerians to abuse the financial trust their position in government conveys, either as political office holders or a civil servant in a government ministry or agency.

Whether power falls to 0MW or 250MW, it does not erase the installed capacity of the country. If the resources used to generate power becomes unobtainable, generation would fall but does it erase the fact that we now have over 5000MW installed capacity in this regime?
So a 1day shutdown to 0MW is nothing awkward, even a total power sector strike results to the same 0MW, but does not erase the installed capacity.

Even the 4000MW version 2.0 attained by Jonathan in November 2014, by February 2015 it was announced that over 2800MW was lost and only 1100+MW was available. Whether that administration returned to generating full installed capacity of 4000MW by May 2015, is unknown.

So anything can affect the generation below installed capacity, any vandal can sabotage the supply of the necessary resources, even reduced rainfall can result to a drop. but no generation can exceed installed capacity. This government would show us its report card at the end of 4yrs, then we would know who was a failure.

You keep on mentioning inauguration by last regime, did jonathan not complete any project inaugurated by previous regimes, yet you give him the credit?
A certain project inaugurated bt the OBJ regime was recently commissioned in the Buhari regime but apologists of the GEJ wasted administration were giving credit to GEJ saying Buhari couldn't have done it in 1yr, meanwhile it was even OBJ that kickstarted it.

The trend seems to be, what is Buhari doing, his ministers are lazy, he should have done this or done that, bla bla bla. But when the Buhari regime commissions any project, we hear the same people say it couldn't have been inaugurated by the short time Buhari regime.

So if we are this knowledgeable about the timeline required to bring about development, why are we pretending to be daft and requesting for a Japanese development in 1+ years.

Are u freaking kidding me,where and when did this happen that u are the only one in Nigeria that is privy to this information, who did the flag off,who commissioned it, or u think power plants are constructed in a day and a half, the switch station inaugurated by the minister of darkness was built by GEJ, If the minister of darkness hasn't come out himself to tell us how many megawatts he has added I wonder where in the world you are getting all this info from, perhaps u are the legendary minister of information.
The information was all over the news when it was attained this year.

The government does its work and reveals same to the people, they lament that it's media government, now you're lamenting that no public parade was held despite being in the news then.

Or did GEJ remain as president till this year? Has Buhari not spent 1.5yrs in power?

So you even know that power plants are not built overnight, yet you lament endlessly over lack of electricity as if the previous regime planned for you to enjoy stable electricity.

You know the 2015 budget was already passed by GEJ, did Fashola decline to implement what was left of it when he resumed in September?

I repeat, if you do not have electricity, that is what the GEJ regime consider you to be entitled to. Buhari has only ran his 1st budget in an economic recession and you want eldorado?

Stop wailing if you already know the task is uphill. Buhari did not cause your problems but he will solve it to the shame of those charlatans you hold in high esteem.

Like I said you sound clever by half,if u want to find out how many megawatts Jonathan added to the nat grid, make google your buddy, let's do the calculation,if GEJ celebrated 4kMW at the end of his tenure, how come the present admin was able to achieve 5kMW without having added 1 kilowatt to the national grid,oh I forgot Buhari body language successfully added 1kMW,clap for yourself.
The Buhari regime added to the grid, that's why it was noteworthy.

Or is it the spirits of Aso Rock that added the increase in generation?

Have u bothered to find out how many megawatts of electricity was added to the national grid during the GEJ tenure, how many has Buhari added in his first tenure and his ongoing tenure, have u found out how much this present administration is earning, what about the funds from subsidy removal which, funds from the needless VAT on every 1k at the bank, recovered loots nko, were u in mars when the electricity tariff was hiked with nothing to show for it,abeg stop been clever by half biko.
Tell me how many megawatts of electricity the GEJ regime added.

I know for a FACT that the OBJ regime celebrated 4000MW of electricity towards the end of 2006. I was surprised to see that the GEJ regime also celebrated the same 4000MW of electricity towards end of 2014.

It felt like a de javu. Who is deceiving who between the previous 4000MW and the GEJ version 2.0?

The current government has also announced that for the 1st time in the history of Nigeria, we have surpassed 5000MW installed capacity.

Let us see what they would attain in 4years even with crude oil selling below $50 per barrel.

One advice I would give to the Buhari regime is to make sure that the notorious and perennial power contractor, Sir Emeka Offor is made persona non grata as regards any future power contracts. He got loads of these contracts under OBJ, he also got same under GEJ, and we repeated 4000MW twice between 2006 and 2014, instead of moving forward.

Well thats not been rude but stating things the wat they are,I hate people trying to build up excuses for Fashola,he said it with his mouth that he will fix the power problems in six month, anything short of that makes him a scam artist except he comes out tomorrow to apologize to Nigerians he was high when he made the statement.
Give him an economy that earns oil revenue at $100+ per barrel which was what the government he was criticizing earned in 4/5years, then see if necessary infrastructure for generation, transmission and distribution cannot be actualised in 6months.

GEJ was a failure, Fashola spoke the truth, we kicked GEJ out for his failure so stop sulking like a baby.

Infrastructure is built with funds not on credit.

Wait if I get your point, you are trying to tell me ministers are of no use to the nation and it's people but just to warm the stools and for political reasons alone? undecided
When you understand why a CEO of Pepsi could become the CEO of Apple, then you would understand why anyone who has experience as a manager or administrator can handle any ministry except Attorney General.

If we continue with this type of mentality, we have a far long way to go .. When there are capable professors and PhD degree holders in engineering and science related field ..fashola will continue to fumble ...
What have the professors or PHd holders done so far at the ministry of Health and Education?

Let the professors and PHd holders stay in the universities and do their jobs there.

World over, the best economies do not use Professors and PHd holders as ministers. So why should Nigeria persist with a useless trend?

World over they employ seasoned administrators with experience in senior management to man the various government portfolios.
