Gabaski might win Goalkeeper of the tournament. He's literally the reason why Egypt is still moving. This guy is inspiring to the team. Marshaling his defense like a true Goalkeeper. He has the guts of a real Cairo man. |

TheGoodJoe:
The midfield has not won if the opposition is creating more chances. What win games is simple. Taking your chances. Not winning midfield battles. If you win midfield battles and you do not create and take chances, it is useless. Winning the midfield battles are the very first steps to winning the game. I'm not contradicting your opinion on our chances. I was skeptical on our choice of Strikers. I advocated for Cyriel Dessers since our main men were unavailable. |

Omanambala: We can try a three man midfield of Onyeka, Ndidi and Aribo....but none is a playmaker.
Honestly, we don't have to invite Nwakali since he is useless and caused us the lost.....we can invite Amoo, still. Amoo is a proper midfielder. I didn't say Nwakali is useless. Just y'all fans to be factual and reduce the unnecessary hype. Many people in this 21st century still thinks a playmaker means a No. 10. I'm aware we need a good number 10 to control the flow of our game but we're asking for too much. We might not have the likes of Okocha or Mikel for a long period of time. Amoo ain't a 10. He's actually a winger. |

We created 13 chances, Tunisia created 7. Are you assuring us we would have created more chances with a 3 man midfield?
Eguavoen has his system and it creates loads of chances. We just need to work on converting our chances and we would be a frightening side to any team that faces us. What does a man profits if he created a million chances and loses the match?? In the game against Tunisia, our wings were clipped. They made us look clueless, empty and uninspiring. A 3 man midfield would had been the breakthrough. We relied too much on wing play. It was too one - dimensional " The football game is won in the midfield" |

Omanambala: You didn't annihilate them. They were not fine tuned when we played them. You are watching an improved team, now. Teams grew with the progress of the tournament. If we won against Tunisia, we would had improved massively. We could had be much more stronger than what we saw in the group stage. |

codemaniacs: Nope..
Just like you're seeing with Senegal Nempalys Mendy and Gueye starting
S.E needs Ndidi and Onyeka to always start with Bonke and Onyedika as subs. Then Aribo, Iwobi or Nwakali playing CAM. So you didn't get the Sarcasm?? That moniker is an avid fan of Nwakali. I was being sarcastic, chief. |

Omanambala: Or Iwobi just to balance the fight in the middle because that where they had strength. Your concerns on our midfield are genuine. Before the Tunisia match, I voiced out my fears against the 2 man midfield system we operated. Even though we won our 2 first games, I wasn't totally convinced. I felt a highly tactical team will press on those loop holes and annihilate us. I was expecting a major tactical change on our game approach. A 3 man midfield with Onyeka, Ndidi and Aribo. I hope we'll learn. |

komekn: Both players jumped all eyes on the ball that's never s yellow.
Egyptian player's clips Sarrs heals as he breaks with pace towards goal. Very cynical and deliberate foul but the referee bottles it.
Because it would be sending off for second yellow card. Exactly my thoughts, chief. The ref is losing control |

Omanambala: Our reliance on the wings , through Moses made it very easy to read us and find a tactics that will bury us.
I don't know the point of leaving Aribo and Ndidi alone in the midfield , knowing their ball carrying is poor. Eguavon should have added an extra man in the middle. And that man is Generalissimo Kelechi Nwakali aka Jibola Adebola , I guess |

kikuyu1: Military exigency may demand the NA deploys a forward regimental base anywhere within the region I mentioned.
The single dust airstrip at FOB Salerno in A'stan hosted spec ops sub units and regiments of the 82nd and 101.
https://www.airports-worldwide.com/afghanistan/forward_operating_base_salerno_afghanistan.php
You CAN use a jet engine transport with filters to avoid gravel abrading turbine blades but they affect aircraft performance. The C 17 though is built with thrust reversers directing air up and forward. The first pic shows sand in the engine of a C 5 after ingestion on takeoff. I understand your perspective. I do believe when aircrafts are being acquired, it's being configured to the tastes of the customer. E.g the F-7ni purchased by the federal Republic of Nigeria had their warming systems replaced with cooling systems due to the climate. Your concerns about dust are genuine, but those incidents of desert storms are only popular in the extreme North-East and North-West regions of the country. Since the beginning of this conflict, the Nigerian Airforce has never landed a fixed-wing airlifter on an airstrip outside the maiduguri airbase. Operations similar to those situations are rare in this part of the world. In the case that the Nigerian Airforce eventually purchases the Y-20, I don't think it will be landed on tiny airstrips. Their are smaller airlifters that will be fit for the job. |

This AFCON opening ceremony is cool, I expected to see a Nigerian artiste perform. Turns out that all artistes were Cameroonian. Overall, this AFCON was top-notch. The Cameroonians did a marvelous job. Fabulous and impressive. Much better than the last one in Egypt. I can feel the passion by watching it from my living room alone. May the best team win. |
