it's more than money, if you follow the market kinly you will understand,
oil industry, the Govt, and CBN had been assisting him, through any and all means to see his refineries came to live, while they had rebuff all Adventures by private individuals, heck, even oil marketers to give them the port Harcourt refineries, to bring it back to life, and they are still doing it,
or can you explain the major reason for black sot in Rivers state
Apologies for the derailment.
Lol. You talk like the Nigerian government even has funds. Presently, Nigeria is broke. Any major project we undertake, we lend money. Aliko Dangote is a major domestic lender. He spent 8 billion dollars of his wealth in construction of the refinery. Let's look beyond tribalism. He's the only one with funds to construct a refinery of that scale. Mind you, his refinery is the largest in the world. It's not his fault for doing this, blame your government that didn't maintain her refineries since independence. The Port Harcourt, warri and kaduna refineries could have provided jobs to alot of citizens, but your government let it rot away. Nevertheless, the Nigerian government through the NNPC are buying over 40% of Dangote refinery.
On the port Harcourt soot matter, it's due to illegal refining of crude, bunkering and gas flaring. It could be solved but like other sectors of the Nigerian economy, their are traitors involved across all walks of Nigerian life. The Nigerian government gave over a 100 legal oil refining licenses to different individuals but less than 5% of those individuals are performing or active.
kikuyu1: Hmmm...I've heard it said jet turbines don't handle unimproved airstrips well. Dust is sucked into the engine eroding the blades: given the nature of W Africa and the Sahel, both likely operational areas I'm curious to see if this is true.
Meine Gott!! You mean Nigeria doesn't have paved airports and airbases or what?
I hope you're aware that the Y-20 is comparable to the American C-17 III Globe master, so it needs expanded runways and it might not be able to land on remote tiny airstrips on the front lines. Currently, the Kanji airbase is being expanded to accommodate those kinda aircraft. Yola airbase, Makurdi airbase and a host of airbases can accommodate these kinda aircrafts.
ChrisKels: Lol for now, I dun hands off Nwakali matter. Be like him and his family no serious. For their mind, they have made enough money. How many minutes did he play at the AFCON that he had to take this long to return to his club?
You wanna abandon Jibola Adebola?? Midfield generalissimo?? Commander-in-chief of the Midfield of the Federal Super Eagles of Nigeria??
TFLASHOGEE: you get mind talk say our midfield general with special skill set that can boost our ball possession with long Ball ability no dey our top ten player you need to be floged comerade I just dey read watin the baba dey capinshi dey laugh I know blame am na the hand work of Dem blue font prof
LTGEN: Highly, Highly unlikely. Unless you heard something that the rest of us haven’t heard. The entire infrastructure of the NAF ( Training, spare parts, Pilots Maintenance) has been centered around the C-130s for the last 40 years. Not something that can be easily switched around. Besides there is not a need to do so. PDM for the 4 th C-130 will take place in 2022.
Yeah, I understand that it takes time for structures to change, but my this my source is someone who's familiar with the MOD acquisitions. In fact, I heard about the M-346FAs from him before anyone else. He was adamant that the NAF is getting these planes from China instead of the CASA 295. He claims NAF has selected an AWACS aircraft from China too.
The risks of duds to own troops and civilians outweighs any advantage especially in own territory
I had an educative, heated conversation with someone recently. He was telling me about the NAF using these specific munitions in Liberia and Sierra Leone but I doubted it because I felt the Alpha Jets couldn't launch these bombs.
Probably, we have never used it in our territory due to its repercussions.
I think Nigeria signed a treaty not to use this type of ammunition anymore, and it seems that the RBK 500 is not a Cluster Bomb as some sources suggest.
I heard about that kinda treaty but I'm not sure it was being implemented cos if it was implemented, the "2005" explosion in Lagos might had never happened.
The article is talking about the OFAB 250-270 not being a cluster bomb tho.
Few days ago, not too long, @Corvert1 was championing the cause of the Federal Republic of Nigeria getting militarily involved in Francophone West Africa. I remember vividly, a particular moniker said that, "Nigeria shouldn't waste it resources and troops on the Francophone Africans". These argument, i must say, was an insightful one. Turns out he was pretty right because, a "Ghanaian brother" showed up today and started discrediting all these achievements by men of valour.
We are all aware that ECOMOG was made up of different African Countries, but the Nigerians were the majority. I had an Uncle who fought in both Liberia and Sierra Leone. In his words, "Soldiers from Ghana and other west African countries were mostly cooks and drivers, non-combat staff. Nigeria did most of the fighting, Senegal tried too".
Nigeria spent over 2 billion dollars restoring peace in these countries. Nigeria lost nearly 5000 men in casualties. Nigeria provided Airsupport, funding, naval support and led from the front. You can't undermine Nigeria's involvement. You can't write west Africa's story without Nigeria coming on the top. West Africa owes Nigeria alot.
Note : I'm not undermining Ghana. We should speak with facts and truths.
Barryseal: Napoli never paid £74M for Osimhen. According to investigation, Napoli did not pay above €40m. They inflated the deal to reflect on the accounts just like Juve and Barca did with Pjanic and Arthur Melo. It's an old accounting trick and Lille could face sanctions https:www.football-italia.net/investigation-into-osimhens-napoli-transfer/amp/
komekn: Arsenal are also looking at Calvert Lewin and quite a few others , only time will tell.
Will it be a good move for him ? Financially a big yes , football the EPL is the most competitive league and patience is a very scarce commodity. So from a football perspective , ❓
Why would Napoli want to sell ❓has he exceeded or even lived up to all expectations. He is coming back from injury many questions.
FERNANDEZISBACK: At least put and think for yourself.. That story is just too obvious..the guy kept sounding like she was some stranger ... Is that how a relationship should be?
