Nigeria should had been a developed nation-state but we all fighting each other and squandering the resources. Are you justifying the present state of affairs? |

kabe1: Why is Russia attacking Ukraine?
Anyone following this operation keenly enough to help break down the reasons for this military invasion? Chief, the Cuban 1961 missile crisis comes to mind. If Ukraine is allowed to join NATO today, the possibility of the United States having military bases in Ukraine is 90%. Kiev is approximately 800km from the Russian border. That's a threat to the Russian Federation existence. We all know the US. They don't mind their business. They like poking into the internal affairs of nations of the world. If the US is in Ukraine, it will be only be a matter of time before the US starts sponsoring movements to topple the Russian government and destroy the Russian state as we know it. The likes of Navalny will spring up in Moscow. Russia will then be ruled by puppets. In that stage, war will be unavoidable. The Americans are hypocrites. E.g.They cannot let allow Mexico join something like a Warsaw pact or allow the Mexicans to be Pro-Russian but they want Ukraine to join NATO in the name of "Freedom". The Cuban missile crisis showed us that. Russia has to invade because it's threatened. |

kenpaul0: Thanks for being civil. The "hate" between Nigeria and SA is holding back the partnership which these two countries need to forge to bring Africa to limelight. If you turn the African map to the side it looks like a gun with Nigeria being the trigger and SA the muzzle. These two countries need to work together in every area from Telecoms to Banking to Military. We should have all types of pact...economic, industrial etc. Now back to the matter at hand...rather than "waste" money buying from the Ruskies or the Yankees(and their younger siblings) we should assist Denel to open another production unit in Nigeria...have a TOT which will help speed up our growing aviation industry. This would be a win win for both Countries and foster closer ties. The helo is a capable one and can be further improved upon...Nigeria is fighting a war and this helo can be used and based on combat information new additions can be made which would definetely help further design of this helo......It is an African thing and we should be proud of it. My 20 cents......If i was President that is the route i would take. Nigeria doesn't need South Africa to reach its potential. South Africa needs Nigeria tho. South Africa's population is approximately 60 million. Every 10 years, Nigeria's population increases by 60 million. Yes, you heard me. MTN, DSTV, Shoprite, their biggest market is Nigeria. A Nigeria-Egypt partnership would be more valuable to both countries than one with South Africa. What does this Rooivalks offer? What do they bring to the table that we can't get from present airframes? A Nigerian partnership with Turkey on production of T-129s is more viable than one with South Africa. These South Africans have less than 14 of these Rooivalks. You can't even manufacture alotta of the choppers, you aren't even being positioned to export the choppers, but you wanna do a partnership with Nigeria?? Things aren't done that way. |

Trojan8: Na wa oh. What wrong did the president of Ukraine do? So a sovereign nation do not have the rights to join whatever body they want to join because they are neighbours to Russia. Does that even make sense to you? Guyy, the 1961 Cuban missile crisis, the United States did the same thing. Nobody budged cos it's the USA. Now Russia does same, everywhere is going haywire. The USA is the real threat to global peace with its "terrorist organisation" called the CIA. If Ukraine should join NATO, then Mexico should be let to have Russian bases. |

joyandfaith: How did west use him? Lifestyles in Ukraine are different from Russia. Ukrainians are liberals and Ukraine is second largest country in Eastern Europe. Ukraine has potential to spread liberalism in Russia which can damage putin ego. Keep watching CNN and Fox news. This is a repeat of the 1961 Cuban missile crisis. Why can't the United States keep away from the Russian border?? Ukraine can't join NATO. Its just like Mexico joining the Warsaw Pact to side with Russia. The United States can't allow that. Russia can't allow this too. The Americans like war. Trump was booted, he ain't start a war. Biden never wanted to avert this. Evil capitalists of the west wanna stay in power. |

The Ukrainian president, Zelenksy is the most stupid president in the world. He allowed the west to use him.
Nigeria and African leaders are stupider. Instead to have been developing their economies and Militaries all this while, they were busy stealing. The truth is, if this war reach Nigeria, we're doomed in hours. The only African countries that can resist external attacks are Egypt and Algeria. Nigerian government bleeped up big time. The black people bleeped up. |

But... We should NEVER beg them. Never. They need us more. We just haven't made them realize it. We should persuade them with everything (him and Eze). But we must not look too desperate.
Speak to their emotions, not their talent. Tell why they need us, and why we need them, eventhough we also don't need them (psychology, and you don't have to say it plainly, just make them see it that you need them and can also do without them). Nothing more.
Other teams will waste them on the long run.
We won't. Nah. Admit it, we need them more. Waste? How sure are you about that? Lol, please if this guy eventually plays for France or Algeria he might turn out good. We aren't the only way to his success. |

I stand corrected, but she didn't even feature in a game before leaving. She again was clubless before signing for Real Betis. She also hasn't featured since her signing. Zogg has also moved between a couple on clubs lately. Now in Germany but she currently isn't better than those we have in the team. She's naturally appealing to most fans but no be "fine girl" we dey use play football Swears. Thanks for the info |

On a serious note, I think he adds depth to our flanks. Exactly. Reasons why we have to develop our grassroots football system to prevent being second choices. We don't have to be scared to lose these lads to their country of birth. About what he brings to the team, I believe he is a dangerous winger but I still don't think he is what we're looking for. Man can't cross. We need wingers to that cross accurately and also penetrate defences. |

codemaniacs: States above the River Niger and river benue were meant to be poor.
So don't mention states in northern Nigeria because they were originally meant to be poor if not for Ironsi that abolished regional system of government and changed it to unitary system of govt most states in Northern Nigeria won't have access to the oil money and other taxes gotten from Southern Nigeria..
If the Amer:icans remove funds today, then terrorism will end in Nigeria.. because the more states that have IDPs the more "foreign agents" will spread across Nigeria in the name of charity.. Lol. What do you mean meant to be poor? NO HUMAN WAS BORN TO SUFFER! Get that straight. I bet if you was Swiss, you'll believe you were meant to be poor cos Switzerland ain't have natural resources. All these states above the Niger and benue produce alotta foodstuffs and grains for the nation. Get your facts. Stop cappin conspiracy theories and actin tribalistic. I'm a student of history. Don't involve General Ironsi in this. Lol. You believe IDPs are foreign agents lol. I just hope you never get in a middle of a conflict zone. The insurgency is a result of the failure of the Nigerian government to crush these rebels in the first instance. The Maitasine were crushed in Kano by the military government in the 1980s within weeks. If it was a "Democrat" government like the present dispensation, it would be politicised. Y'all playin politics with lives of Nigerian citizens. Damn, we derailed much. Let's stop the argument. |

codemaniacs: I did not insinuate that Nigerians have poor vocabulary and using terms like "alotta" "em" "aint is very bad vocabulary.. In the movie Akeelah and the Bee, Laurence Fishburne kept correcting Akeelah anytime she used such words... so only unserious and irresponsible people use such words..
millions of Nigerians have access to good water supply.
There is difference between been financially poor and been food poor or agro poor...
"poor" people in Nigeria and many other African countries can afford 3 square meals daily... so in reality, they are not "poor" people because "poor" people can't afford 3 square meals...
Stop using Anti-African international organisations propaganda to describe Africans unless you're racist then you can keep using them for as long as you want... Lol. I watched that movie and I understand what he meant. He was insinuating that Akeela needed to improve her English vocabulary by speaking with the correct words and word structure in English language. I'm not an unserious person. This is a faceless forum, let's speak with facts to have an insightful conversation. If I should go by your analogy, then nearly 90% of Nigerians are unserious because alot of the members of our Nigerian society speak "Pidgin English" which is a corruption of the English language. Nigeria is among the nations of the world where rampant open defecation is practiced. That's says alot about our water system. Millions may have access to water but it will be extremely few. No single state or city in the entire Federal Republic Of Nigeria can boast of atleast 70% water supply or 24/7 water supply. Lol. Look, you talkin like every folk you meet in the rural area is a farmer. That's not it. Alotta people in the rural area are broke. We should face the facts that our people are suffering and our country isn't finding it smooth. Many peeps lack quality meals. They keep repeating same meals because they can't afford a quality one. Lol. You keep making me feel surprised. What do you mean "in reality not poor"? Do you know the definition of poverty? "Poverty is the inability to provide for your BASIC NEEDS. " Basic needs includes; clean water, quality three square meals daily, basic education and health, clothing and shelter. Don't you get? You gotta stop being a conspiracy theorist. All these bull crap about being " Anti- African " is just not it. I know the whites supremacists don't care about us but our neo-colonialist leadership are allowing this suffering of our people to continue. I bet you've never worked in or got in an IDP camp. In Maiduguri, the same Americans you're calling " Anti-African" are the major sponsor and donor for IDPs through the USAID. If the Americans remove funds today, the system will be crippled!. |

chrisooblog: You make a lot of good points and yes the situation in Nigeria is very bad, but in terms of finding something to eat especially in rural areas you rarely hear of people going hungry because of sustenance farming which can give you cassava products like garri, fufu and other crops like millet, maize to mention a few. Food crisis that people speak about is mostly caused by farmers inability to farm because of banditry and boko haram.
The reason why foodstuff cost so much in the city is because we haven't figured out a cost effective way to transport and store perishables to the market before most of it goes bad. Exactly, Chief. We understand each other perspectives. Sehr Gut. |
