Aha, you all think its easy to fight the government! When the government said helmet, very few complied, some even began to use buckets, while others said they can not hear when a potential passenger shouts okada or you dey go? Honestly, everyone with keke as an alternative will tell you that we now record very low accidents. *Kaduna state has a policy of just one person on a bike! Which means it is not for commercial purpose. |

A nigerian teacher was sent to China to teach. The first day he entered class, he began by roll-calling. He said "Sheng." A student said "present." He called the second name, Chu Muon. Another student said "present" Suddenly, he sneezed, "hatchia" One student seated at the corner stood up and said, "present" He then exclaimed and said, "hmmmm..." all the student shouted "Absent" He got confused and said, " Shaa..." Three students stood up and said, "Which of us?" The teacher became more confused and he asked, " What is wrong?" A student stood up and he said, " Sir, I'm not Wrong, I'm called Wong." The teacher now laughed and said, " hahaha" A girl said "Present sir" The teacher came closer to find out what was going on, as he moved his pen fell on the table and made the sound, " ping chung chong" A certain boy said, " Present sir." The teacher now more confused and annoyed, decided to move out. As he was moving out, a group of around 15 students stood up and shouted, "Teacher, what about us?" |
Being a fresher, i jotted and copied more than 70% of my notes in retrogaphy. (writing english backwards it can be read using a mirror) so anyone sitting close to me and even my friends couldn't lend my notes to photocopy and it was not stolen too since I was the only that could read it. Trouble came one day when we submitted our notes but mine was not returned! I went to the lecturer to retrieve my notebook and he asked me if I was a cultist! The mirror writing brought me fame anywhere I went to because, to them it was a mysterious way of writing. *i laugh whenever I see the notes* |
The Paradoxical Commandments People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered. Love them anyway. If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives. Do good anyway. If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway. The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway. The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds. Think big anyway. People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs. Fight for a few underdogs anyway. What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway. People really need help but may attack you if you do help them. Help people anyway. Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway. Please add yours. Warning- its a copy and paste... Kent M. Keith, The Silent Revolution: Dynamic Leadership in the Student Council |

THE WORST APPLICATION LETTER Dear Sir, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT I refer to the recent death of the accountant at your office and hereby apply for the job as a replacement of the dead accountant. Each time I apply for employment, I get a reply that there is no vacancy but in this case, I have caught you red handed and you have no excuse because while I was in my hometown for holidays I heard the good news about his death so i quickly rushed back to attend the funeral to be sure that he was truly dead and I even took some picture too of the funeral before applying. Attached to my letter is a copy of my CV and his obituary as proof of vacancy. You can't swerve me this time. Give me the job. I'd love to resume on Monday. Thank you, Yours Truly, Solomon Strongfaze. |
By Emmanuel Unah UBANG—NESTLED between two mountains in Obudu Local Government Area, Cross River State, is Ubang community where the female and their male inhabitants speak separate languages and they understand themselves. Neighbouring villagers, who know about the extraordinary development look at the people with a feeling of awe. Ubang people know how others feel about their wonderful talent and now and again, they tell their story in a way that makes others green with envy. For instance, whenNiger Delta Voicevisited the community, the elders led by Ogbe Sylvanus Odobi, said God descended on one of the mountains in the villages of Okiro and stood on the rock at the peak of the mountain and distributed languages. “He started with us (Ubang) since it is our mountain that He stood to distribute the languages and His footprint is still etched on that rock till today,” Odobi flanked by two others, Ochui David and Clement Obi said. His words: “It was after God had distributed the languages to the men and women of Ubang that He discovered that the languages would not go round the communities if He continued to give each for both sexes and so He decided to give the other communities one language for both sexes.” The clan head, Chief Moses Ade, corroborated their story. No plan to merge languages Populated by energetic young men and stunning girls, Ubang comprises of three villages, Okwersing, Ofambe and Okiro, the variances in language between the male and female folks is what stands the community out they most and they are quite proud of it. They boast that God so loved them and except He comes down again to the spot in the community where He handed them the languages and directs otherwise, they had no plan to fuse the two languages. Odobi asserted that right from birth, each child born in the community knows he or she has to speak the language of his or her sex because any attempt to learn the language of the other will end in futility. “If a female tries to speak the language of the male or vice versa, she will not be able because she will be confused and make a lot of mistakes,” he added. For example, the men folk call waterAmie, while the female call itBanu. The verb, ‘go,’ isMbieby the male, while to the women, it isUruo. Women call yam,Iri, while men call itKetung. An elderly woman in the village, Mary Orim, said the words that form the two languages were given by God, so no one language is superior to the other and each sex speaks the words allotted to their language with pride and confidence. “Why should I speak the men’s language after God has considered it fit to give me my own language? She queried when asked why the women did not revolt and speak the same language with male counterpart as it is done in other places. She toldNiger Delta Voice, “you (reporter) will spend the entire week here if you decide to write all the words down because nearly all the words we speak are separate.” Stuffing her nose with snuff from her carefully-held snuff box, she said, “Women call stone ‘koka’, while their men call it ‘okai, we call shirt is ‘ariga’ while men call itNki. She added: “If a woman, no matter how old, begins to speak like a man, the women will laugh at her.” |

13 MOST DANGEROUS DEMONS Demonic possession is no laughing matter – but if you find yourself pitted against one of the 13 most dangerous demons in Hell, watch out! Blackman and Martin are 2 of them. Anton Szandor LaVey, the former High Priest of the Church of Satan, listed the most powerful of Lucifer’s minions in his notorious book, The Satanic Bible. “Theologians have cataloged some of the names of devils in their lists of demons, but the roster which follows contains the names most effectively used in Satanic ritual,” wrote LaVey, known to his followers as The Black Pope. In addition to what he called the “crown princes” of Hell (Satan, the fallen angel Belial and the destructive sea monster Leviathan) LaVey lists other vicious demons who also occupy the “Royal Palace of Hell.” Here are the 13 of the worst: ASMODEUS– The orgy-loving ancient Hebrew devil of sensuality. ASTAROTH– Female demon worshipped by the Phoenicians as the goddess of lasciviousness. AZAZEL– The demon who taught man to make weapons of war and introduced women to cosmetics. BALAAM- Hebrew devil of avarice and greed. BEHEMOTH– Devil said to take the form of a monstrous elephant. BEEZLEBUB– Disgusting and repulsive Lord of the Flies. BILE– Eons-old Celtic god of Hell. CIMERIES– Demon who rides a black horse and rules Africa. COYOTE- American Indian devil. DAMBALLA– Evil Voodoo serpent god. DAGON– Philistine avenging devil of the sea. MORMO– King of the Ghouls and chief consort of Hecate, the Greek goddess of the underworld and witchcraft. MICTIAN– Worshiped by the Aztecs as the god of Death Source: WEEKLY WORLD NEWS Dear brethren, we need to be steadfast against these demons by putting on the FULL ARMOR OF CHRIST. And with the grace of God we will conquer! Happy new Month. |

Hello dear Nairalanders, there is an issue which is quite confusing to me and your urgent input(s) is highly needed. Our in-law died earlier this year, his birthday is 30th August. The thing is the notification came up on Facebook, and out of curiosity I scanned the page. To my greatest surprise, people wrote happy birthday messages. The question is this- is it right or wrong to wish someone a happy birthday even when you know the person is no more? (meanwhile R.I.P uncle Gabriel) Thanks for your response. |
