Received the results for my 25th March tests.
L-8.5, R-6.5, W-7.0, S-8.0, Overall, 7.5
The reading component, which I thought would be my best result, turned out to be my undoing as I need a band 7 in it.

Is it possible to get an increased score after Revaluation / Enquiry on Results (EOR) on the READING component? I know it is usually difficult since its an objective exam, but are there any experiences.

Thank you. With MA, my crs is 478, with BA, it is 441.

Bear in mind that from June, the minimum (cut off) CRS mark MAY likely increase when the new additional points rule for french speaking (15 or 30) and people with siblings (15) starts. There are perhaps thousands of people looking to benefit from this. If your CRS score will be 478, you should be fine, but with 441, it may be very tight for direct EE ITA from June and probably may be so for a while. So move very fast!
I myself am on a rat race to enter the pool in time before June, else I'll have to write french exam to boost my score

I'm not surprised. Its a rat race now and number of people in the pool has increased significantly.

I just hope my profile can be ready in time for the next draw and that they even reduce the cut off mark.

If you will be accompanying him, you definitely have to evaluate yours too. I think education of accompanying spouse gives a maximum of 10 additional points (i.e. Phd holder).
You can use the CRS tool to determine the implications.

Yes, the email will state the Reference Number as Application ID.

When fax your documents, the confirmation email will state a File Number.

Hello house, I attempted using my GT bank master card for WES payment today and it was declined saying 'Auth Declined'. Please how can I get through this as I'm not based in Nigeria presently. More so I used the same card for a $13 US Dollar transaction earlier in the week. Any advice on this please?

You will not be able to use the MasterCard ( naira denominated, i suppose) because of the limitation on transaction value placed by banks. GTB's limit is $100 monthly.

Your best bet is to use a foreign currency denominated card.

I tried using GTB internet banking, but failed. It recognised the acc, but failed to make d transfer.
I eventually had to submit a bank draft.

Please when did the school send ur transcript and which did they acknowledge receipt of? Your transcriot or the ones u faxed. And what was the time frame of them informing you.

Paid and faxed documents to IQAS on Friday 10th March.

Got email acknowledgement of the application from IQAS on Wed, 15th March.

My Uni emailed me on 10th March that the transcript had been taken to the post office. This has not got to IQAS yet.

IQAS is currently overwhelmed with a large volume of applications. Understandably, a lot of applicants are switching to them due to their faster processing.

For instance, they have a backlog as they are yet to open surface mails that came in from last week Wednesday.

Give them till the end of this week, you should be able to get an acknowledgement from them by then.

I would advise you to get your ECA for your masters and enter the pool before CRS Cut-off increases.

Your evaluation will only be termed complete when your BSc result is sent from Nigeria i.e. if you decide to evaluate the two.

The ECA that you will pay for is for immigration purposes (if you decide to use WES); when you get to Canada, your prospective employer will conduct their own background check...so please take it one step at a time...

Hello everyone, please I need urgent clarification on this.

If I request for ECA on 2 degrees, will the report be prepared, issued and uploaded by IQAS or WES on EE / sent to IRCC:
(1) only after the two assessments are completed, meaning either degree can delay the other, OR
(2) issued as they are completed irrespective of time?

I am asking because I am in a fix:
I had my BSc in Nigeria and MSc in UK. I would have preferred to have both ECAs for future use by prospective employers and professional bodies in Canada. I understand with the ECA for MSc only, can get the required points, but I am also thinking of the double cost if I process the MSc now and then BSc much later. I am particularly in a hurry to get into the EE pool, so don't want any delays.

You will pay first afterwards you will receive a reference number which your school will quote on the cover letter accompanying your transcript. After assessment you will receive both soft by mail and hard copies via post

Hi, please I need clarifications on the following from the IQAS Checklist form - post secondary section.

1. Photocopy of the Degree/Diploma (name in the original language): i know that's the degree certificate

2. Photocopy of transcripts/statement of marks: Are we to include a copy of the transcript - if we have it? I thought the university is to send it directly to IQAS.

3. Transcripts (mark sheets, grade reports) issued by: Are we just to include name of the university and tick the checklist?

''The test fee is NGN68, 000. Payment can be made offline via:
1. Bank transfer from First Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, Zenith Bank or Standard Chartered Bank using the appropriate under-listed account numbers, plus the code for month of exams (table below) and last two digits of your international passport.''

Can I make the Bank Transfer via Internet Banking, or does it have to be in-Bank.
I am not referring to the Bank Draft option.

You can have it available anytime, but you will only need it with your documents for PR which is after you receive ITA.

In my case, speaking was mid week then the rest were on the weekend after. But I've seen cases where all was done on the same day (weekend).
