This is from someone with just SSCE when I started this journey.
I would post screenshots from my earnings online as you don't need government to make an honest and passive income on the internet. I have been into it since 2011 and learned everything online for free without paying anyone a dime, all I had to do is read, read, read, test, create and apply knowledge gained.
There's this mentality of being a graduate, you are entitled to get jobs from Government and all sought.
Lastly, it is all about patience and being consistent.

See screenshot below for all proof of earnings.

I assume you are still in Nigeria? Contact the Studentenwerk Hamburg for Accommodation package for new students, they recently launched something like that for new incoming student in Hamburg.

Use https://www.wg-gesucht.de for room search and avoid anyone asking you to pay upfront for any room no matter, how cheap it sounds.

Out of respect for the group I’ll answer you. Number one I can make a calculated guess how he got it. This is what I do. I was on your being modest before. When I say I sabi small I was lying. In this Germany thing I sabi plenty. If I don’t even know my own name I sabi this Germany thing. The information is to help people here who are wondering if they can get in.
Number two. Even if I didn’t know. I really don’t care how he got in. I’ve been in Germany 3 years. I have my masters. I’m working. So what can he tell me that will help me?
Number 3. Yes information is not free. I know what I charge because my business is built to pry on people’s ignorance. I’m not ashamed to say it. If you don’t know something then you will pay me to do it for you. I don’t help people o. If I help you it’s becos you paid me or I just like you. Before I helped people for free. Until I saw the light. I charge you. I collect commission from the school.
That’s why I don’t talk here. Becos I know you guys know what you’re doing. Many Nigerians don’t. That’s who I target. Check out my website. www.aoclimited.com. You’lol see my fees there. Make e no be like say person too Dey talk. I have companies I charge 1500 euros per person to get them into a MBA programme in Germany. So when I read some things here I just laugh. Most of these rules and laws you state are written rules and laws everywhere in Germany but in practice, what obtains in Berlin is different. Berlin will give you permit that is more than the validity of your passport. When you even try to point it out, you will be told to come back with the new passport when you have it and they will transfer your permit to it. This is not just from personal experience but from experiences of others in Berlin too.

I dont know which state in Germany you live in but a lot of impossibles in other states are to a very reasonable extent possible in Berlin. Probably because of the high population here.

Yes for sure, without the language, you can still hustle. However, the longtime goal for those that want to stay back should also be taken into consideration. Having the knowledge of the language is a big plus. Though some people are not in the environment where they can learn the language, thus making it cumbersome. Don't worry if you are in this category, you will get along. But for those that have the opportunity; please, try and learn it. The truth of the matter is; in Germany, there are jobs and there are jobs. People in Germany will understand better.

Please all new comers and interested applicants should learn German in Nigeria up to 1year, if possible before coming, it's cheaper in Nigeria and you have lot of time.
When you get to DE, Bro, you got no time as Semester holidays, when some University offer basic language courses is time for you to work and do holiday job and save money

Even if your course is 100% English, you would thank yourself for doing that already in Naija.
Cheers

You can start learning the basics ie A1 and A2 from online sources like YouTube tutors or Duolingo App. This may not make you perfect but you will learn all necessary words, phrase and expressions at your own pace. Also when you get to Germany, I learnt that some Universities offer free German course to international students especially in winter semester.

Sorry guys my suggestions is always focused on how to minimize cost and achieve the same outcome. So accept me the way I am.

Some people can like to give false information about things they have no clue of instead of just saying they have no idea.
My sister out of her desire to assist me with my plans to study in Germany asked a friend of hers that is resident in Germany to help me get the Verpflichtungserklarung (sponsorship letter), and he told her that its not possible for German schools to give direct admission to
Nigerias, that Nigerians must do a german course for a year (which is true for BSC applicants without german knowledge, applying for a German thought course). He even said he tried bringing his own brother to Germany to study but couldn't because it wasn't possible (lol). He said the blocked account will be permanently blocked. He said many other things and gave my sister reasons to doubt the possibility of studying in Germany.
I told her plainly that he doesn't know shit about what he is talking about, and made her understand that it's possible to be based in a country and not know anything about the countries visa and immigration rules.

He can't damp my spirit, I have already started sending out my applications.
The truth is nobody wants to sign a Verpflichtungserklärung for someone you hardly know, lot of legal stuff involves, if the student fkucs up, it's not just a paper but whoever signs for you bears total responsibility for your stay in Germany during that one year period.
So all the stories is to avoid signing.

Good morning fams,
My story is just a testimony.
Forex wasn't smiling at me some days after interview and God came up with his miracle as a distant relative was contacted exactly 1 week after my interview and was very glad to hear that I'm coming to Deutscheland to study. In all, some days after as he promised to help me get it and messaged me to send my mail. Lo and behold, I saw the real VERPFLICHTUNGSERKLARUNG. some days after, I got it through DHL and posted to the consulate but stated the necessary reasons for change in plans in a formal write-up. To my surprise after almost 3 weeks of long wait in prayers and fasting, yesterday 6th September God proved who he was as a miracle worker - I saw my AM even several minutes after it has arrived on my mail while I didn't notice. 1 person I would give all this honor to is God and he sent no one else than his loyal creature HONOURABLESEYI who stood by me in every bit of questions asked. Ur pending prayers has been approved just like my AM has.
One advice for others is Stick to God this time like u re using Kante and Bakayoko to block ur midfield and be prayerful and don't hesitate reading from page 1 "all dos saying no one to refer u backpage, remember there's no short route to success, things dey backpage oooo" plus don't stop pm'ing old folks now in Germany "I wahala a lot of people sha" Eke40seven, Schwartz, PVibes, Lamingo, Hadaseekeh, Uchevolata, Jigba, Nicki, Dolpaz, Adejnr, Mr. Bigman etc and everyone that got my PM una DANKE oooo coz in life, nothing is impossible. To everyone including the VO, everyone that has been part of my success stories here and out there, all ur wish has been granted and approved.

See u all in Deutscheland
.
Congrats!
Hast du schon Deutsch gelernt?

Hello guys,

I trust everyone is having a great day.

In the light of the recent rejection of Student Visa application from the Embassy...It's obvious our only hope of getting them to re-think their stand is to involve our Legislators and Govt Officials.

I've read that some other Asian countries are facing similar challenge but he truth is Nigerians are the only ones in Africa. The Embassy in Accra attends to 3 countries and it's still open till probably September if not longer...so that argument does not hold water.

In nut, myself and couple of guys have thought it right to get the attention of well-meaning Nigerians to wedge in on our case and call the Embassy to act right.

An article has been put up and we need to flood our Social media handles with this information! LIKE FLOOD IT TILL THEY WOULD HAVE TO RESPOND TO IT.

I believe everyone on this platform should ACTIVELY participate in this; not only those who are yet to get interview dates.
VICTORY FOR ONE IS VICTORY FOR ALL.

This is a case of some people choosing to crush our dreams and aspirations, we shouldn't fold our arms!

If you really believe in result, then LET'S GO ALL OUT TO TWEET and RETWEET, write / share the blog url, Write on facebook, Call that Uncle and Friend in positions of authority.

Copy the President and Osibanjo, all Senators- Murray Bruce, Abike Dabiri, Dino Melaye...ALL OF THEM! , The House of Rep, Media Houses, Linda, Sahara Reporters and every other person you can.

THIS IS ABOUT OUR FUTURE...waiting one year after all the emotional, financial stress and hard work done to get the admission shouldn't go down the drain...

WE ARE THE YOUTH, WE MUSTN'T JUST ALLOW PEOPLE PEDDLE WITH OUR LIVES.

I hope this plea will resonate with everyone here...Even those that have gotten interview dates and those who are yet to even apply.

We need you to make this a reality. The likes, share, re-tweet, copy would go a lonnnnng way!

#Winter17 is possible!

Impossible is nothing!

Although you are known to be a mentally unstable character, I will give you the benefit of the doubt and address your ego with "civility".

Yes, Bafög was increased by 9.7% last year, and it impacted on the overall minimum for every student, but that (still) doesn't have a direct correlation to how much students (both bafög beneficiaries and normal students) spend on the average every month. But what it did do was increase the total bloackable amount for incoming international students, and for those coming from developing country, that was totally unnecessary.

Anybody that was here last year can testify to that. People were not happy about it.

So, yes! A statutory increase in the "standard of living" for students here in Germany, will always have a direct effect on students not yet in the system.

Oya, come and rant again. Just be rest assured that this time, I will fucck your nose.
To explain to you,how the system works, I'll rather watch GOT and sip some cold beer.

I sympathize with folks who have not been able to get booked for interview. The German government continues to implement policies that would reduce the number of students coming in.

Last year they increased the minimum monthly disposable from €670 to €720.

They have thus far refused to budge on the "no more dates" decision. Now followed by a 25% increase in visa fees.

Here in Germany, states including Baden Wertturmberg, Nord Rhein Westfalen and Thuringia have either implemented or are debating tuition fee era.

In addition, the number of Auslanderbehorder/foreign offices insisting on blocking of account for residence permit extension is increasing.

I do not really know what the situation is for others, especially people coming from non-african countries, but it appears that the German state is trying to reduce its financial commitment to University education (for internationals).

Nobody can say exactly what is on their mind. But for new applicants, please try and apply early...even to schools/courses you might not like...Use it for visa app and move to your choice school (with late admission) when you arrive here.

Good luck!
Uncle Judas,

Take that offer cos getting to Kiel and starting a room search isn't advisable.
My tip, take it and pay for one month better than starting a new search in Winter.
Do this after you get the contract
When contract is signed ask the Studentenwerk, if possible you let out the room for just a month as you'll be arriving in October.

Do most of you guys consider the political climate before you decide where to study. I mean, this year alone one million syrians (most highly educated, skill individual, and syrians are generally better educated than sub sahara africa) arrived. They all need jobs. Secondly africans have bad reputation in germany ( sadly I can not disagree with this assumption) worse than all rapist arabs. Germany has no time for africans. You have a better chance in canada than germany.

I read your post a while ago and I am moved to answer. Let me share a small story. There is a guy who studied electrical and information technology in university of applied sciences, Hamburg. He started coding at the age 10 and started this course in Germany at the age of 19 in his year 3 he got a good full time job and his visa moved from student visa to work from which he will be eligible for permanent residence any time soon. Another Naija guy wheel chair bound, a student of the same course, same success story. The success stories of people reading this course has been reoccurring. Especially if you're really good at coding. Don't trade working menial jobs at the interim for a future glory.Even in the so called big cities, the work mostly available is still menial jobs. One thing I noticed about Germany, in most places you find yourself is that once you can speak the language you will get something to do. There must be a restaurant were people eat and dishes needed washing, there must be houses that need cleaning, there must be people moving out that need their stuff moved, baby sitting, lawn mowing, gardening etc During holidays you can move in with friends / naija brothers who will take you in for a fee while you work for a substantial amount of money. Holiday jobs in Daimler, Amazon, BMW, factories, production companies, etc. Hard tasking jobs but at least good pay.
If your sole aim is to hustle after euros, do 2 , 3 jobs and send money home then go for big cities; Stuttgart, Munich, Berlin etc but if you wish to get a good well paying and respectable job with the ability to convert your study visa to a permanent stay then go for that elect. & IT course. For others asking about which city to choose, I will give same advice
IT is tough and coding is not a child's play in fact I know people that couldn't weather it they dropped out. But at the end it pays, engineering also. This is just my humble opinion based on experience
You are 100% right as per the language part and IT, my tip to incoming students don't hurry to come, learn German even if your course is in English, don't forget you are planning to establish yourself here so German is needed.
As for work issues, if you have German, you'll definitely get a job.
