I like your confidence, are you going for Bsc or Msc ?.
Don't forget that some English textbooks are not easy to read let alone a german language that id not your mother tongue, so relax and save your ENERGY for your course in Germany.

As for the debate on public vs private health insurance, public is better as for your long term goal of staying in DE.
There's a rule,if you change from public to private now and you start full time job after your studies, (which is your ultimate goal) it's like going to be expensive and huge deductions from your earnings like 10-16%, if am not wrong.
My advice, stick with public,if you can as health is wealth.
Also stop saying,I never sick for months etc, sickness no get starting date and you no be Superman. grin

If he apply to uni-assist with just ND, he will just waste his application fee without any possitive result. ND is not equivalent to German arbitur. It is either Hnd ,100L transcript or A-level. You can only apply to schools that are not under uni-assist with ND but the chance of been given admission is just too small. I helped a friend applied to 3 different schools last winter with ND, she got rejection in all. When schools are not under uni-assist, it means more competition from other applicants than those that are under uni-assist hence the reason why getting admission with ND stuff is highly cumbersome or almost impossible these days. Shalom

One thing I ve noticed is that english speakers re grossly arrogant and ve this mindset that they speak english and dont need to learn the host country's language( use to ve same mindset until I start to see jobs and opportunities pass me by nobody advise me)

You dont need to be fluent as a native speaker just put in some efforts ..most times they just wanna see if u re willing to learn the language or not.

Bro, my opinion, it's not Racism.
Please the word carry lot of meaning in Deutschland, when you use it.
Don't forget the visitor is welcomed and also the official language remains German!

Obiwannn:
I'd have no other option but to call this Racism...

lol...They can be so proud and annoying ehn.. The thing is that they feel blacks 1) dont know anything 2) are suffering, when actually if we received the kinda education they received in their country, we'd be way smarter plus in reality dem even suffer pass us. Many of my Ogas don tell me not to take nonsense from them anymore... As Germans no dey send them, the only opportunity them get na to use you take shine, something they'd gladly do if u give them chance.

Oga mi' forget all wetin you dey see online. Getting a job is first very competitive for blacks residing in the Country with the country's certificate, e come be you wey dey come from outside with a foreign often looked-down upon degree. Also the Course of study matters. That's why I tell friends who are in IT not to hesitate in deciding whether to come here or not, as this is the place where I believe there are more available IT jobs than applicants. The only limiting factor again is the German language, something I am still trying to come to terms with.
If you are interested in skilled immigration then cast your net towards countries offering the program like Australia, heard Canada and Denmark, but not so sure. Even boys for here dey run this same program.

Hello all,I intend to apply into a German university for undergraduate study. My issue is with the 100L transcript. The thing is I had two carryovers. Before anyone begins to judge it was down to a missing score/script. Although my GPA was still 2.77 at the time. Is this good enough for application and how soon can I begin applying for the winter semester for Engineering and Management at Ingolstadt Technical Uni. I would have used the other thread but people pls that's almost 600 pages of writeup

I stressed the language part for sometime here but some would come with their theory of English city bla bla bla, i dey laugh in pidgin.

My point even: Surly, you would get through your course of study in English but don't forget ,when you are searching for a Job in Germany, the language aspect would play a very big role and that's,where the cards start to fall.
Don't forget there's a huge competition out there. undecided

Are we a society of rapist?

First it was Timaya's in USA,Sugarbelly's story and now this Airforce girl, who decided to serve her country and was sexually assulted in the process.

I ask myself this question, whenever i read such online although i would like to here both side of the story but all the males involed would keep quiet as they feel powerful and their silence would free them but no, soon an unofficial sex offenders register would come online only for Nigerians and pray you are not accused of Rape or Sexual assault (The registry would be online for all to see and shame the offenders)

Secondly, the comments to such tragic events are the same and even unbelieveable from some Females, who reply with

What is she doing at the guys place? why did she follow the guy? (Coming from a female,it makes my stomach sick!) it goes on with the blaming game.

It's obvious to me alot of people in our dear country are experiencing this daily and it's gradually becoming a norm and everyone think it's okay and the issue is swept under the rug and forgotten.

Everyday for the thief, one day for the owner.

http://eie.ng/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/NIGERIAPOLICECODEOFCONDUCT.pdf

Section 4 of the Administration of Justice Act (AJA) 2015 states: "In making an arrest, the police officer or other persons making the arrest shall actually
touch or confine the body of the suspect, unless there is a submission to the custody by word or action."
Also, section 18 (a) of the same statute provides that "a police officer may, without an order of a court and without a warrant, arrest a suspect whom he suspects on reasonable grounds of having committed an offence against a law in Nigeria or against the law of any other State, unless the law creating the offence provides that the suspect cannot be arrested without a warrant."

Arrest is valid like fire. grin

It is impossible for now to secure admission for Bsc in a German university with SSCE alone as far as I know, and a tough quest to find a university in Germany that allow HND for masters. All of these have been debated about here over again, sire.
Not exactly true

Bsc in German University = SSCE plus 2 Semester in Studienkolleg, then you can start studying in a german University.

To tell you the truth I don't know but PM Scofield he will give you good ideas how to go about it.
I was on the open street infront of Afro Asian shop and I heard a Nigerian telling another one , oh boy you get coco? They were clustered there speaking our language. I was a ashamed for them. I didn't even act as if I am from the same place as them.
My dear friend was gisting with some Germans and they were telling him not to mix with his fellow country men from Nigeria. That they are known for selling drugs. That in Berlin there is a particular hard drug that only Nigerians have in their possession to sell.
And then when they visit Nigeria flaunting material things and we visit quietly because we make a honest living people will want to look down on us for not throwing money around. Its just so annoying.
@Crowns Abeg stop visiting those area, many funny ppl with different agenda as yours, i know you want to shop for African stuff or see fellow Africans/Nigerians but if they are not students like yourself with same focus its pure distraction.

I respect your input sir, but what happens when I finally get to Germany and the validity of my passport expires? Will I have to come back to Nigeria and renew it bearing in mind that I wouldn't have concluded my study by January 2017. Even if I proceed to get a new passport(5year validity) now, a time will come when it will expire too and I will be required to renew it. Bearing cost in mind, should I get a new passport now or proceed with the one whose validity expires by January 2015?
you can renew it in Germany,no need going to naija for that even if your course of study hasn't finished yet.
when you apply for the visa just make sure your passport is at least 6-8 month valid.

Ehen, I forgot to add a very important tip for those who are yet to come.
By as much clothes, jeans, inners and shoes as possible when coming, forget that Aba made quality hoax. Its hogwash.
Person wey I know tell me say him buy 10 jeans... cheesy him no go buy jeans be that again for the next one year.

secondly, come with a LAN cable. Most internet connections especially the one you would get in your room are WLAN and not Wifi. E cheap for naija, around 2k for 10m long cable. I know say the price for here go be die.

thirdly, bring winter jacket oh...the cold for here no be play. A useful tip to reduce the weight on your luggage which I told em Oye say I go do na I wan share give una so.
You know say clothes light well well and na jeans and winter jacket na heavy.
So this is what I did..
I wore two jeans, wear three if you can
then wore an inner, a shirt and two winter jackets for my body.
Laff if you would, but the clothes wey I wear for body reach 12kg when I measure am. Tell me how I for take add am to my bags wey dn already dey weigh 48kghuh The woman at the check in desk come de ask me say why I pack clothes for body say am I cold? Na I tell am say yesoooo...meanwhile no be small sweat I de sweat oh..lol

fourthly, carry all ur documents oh..I remember the guy at the airline desk asking me if I've payed my school fees and I tell am say na free tuituon, then he come de ask for any evidence of payment made to the school. I no no how that one take concern am sha, but I gavee him my Form A transfer receipt.

I wish all of una more testimonies oh..and those that are flying today, tomorrow and soon a very very safe flight..
again all ye ghosts for here, there is God oh..make una come out of hiding, cos what u people are doing is selfish, and in the long run una no go benefit trust me. I met a lovely Nigerian dude here and he has really been very helpful.. I believe God connected him to me as a helper, cos I love helping people in return... So have a rethink, let us as One Nigeria take over Deutschland. If you have any info that would help ur neighbour, tip on a course, connection to a person, job link, etc, share it, don't hoard it. Enoough of the Indians, the Cameronians and even Ghanaians dominating us. The average Nigerian has a mentality of wanting only himself to succeed and doesnt want his fellow Nigerian to succeed; living life as if na competition. We need to get rid of that mentality. Nothing dey for life oh my people, as all in all na vanity. We should live it consciously with a view of helping one another and putting smiles on people's faces.
Its Obiwannn signing off....and OHHHH YES..WINTER IS HERE!!!

Styles2009, biko I get some questions..please check ur PM, or gimme ur Lyca number if u get

Am a well dedicated nairalander but I created this new account for this issue. I have been married for 4 years now with 3 children and since the 2nd year of our marriage my husband has been constantly cheating on me.

The way he goes about it is even heartbreaking, he does it like his into a love relationship with them and not just for fun.

There is this particular girl that he calls like 3 times everyday because I check his call log and saw they keep in touch more than twice everyday. I stupidly called the girl and warned her to stay clear off my man and she confessed he didn't tell her he was married, I confronted my hubby and he was forming defensive and was telling me dat am accusing him wrongly and he will soon start cheating. I called the girl back in the evening and she told me that even as am calling that his call is entering her phone, that he called earlier to beg her to give him chance to explain..The next day I left with my children to a far away state and he pleaded that he will change and all that. The issue is that he continued with this shameless behaviour, our live-in nanny later confessed to my cousin last month that he approached her and I was so devastated. He knelt down and begged and I easily forgave him..

Forgive me for my long episode but I really need your help on how to punish him cos I went to his call log yesterday and saw the same girl that made me take the risk to leave with my children to another state calling him again and he is reciprocating the calls..his a very jealous person, he goes crazy when a male friend calls me..I want to make him pass through all the pains I have endured all these years.. What do I do pls?
Honey, please am not supporting your husbands infidelity but please call that girl, your husband always calls and ask her for advice, then know, what your husband is getting from her that you don't give, problem solved

Hello,
U may not get direct flight 2 bremen unless if it is a major intl airport but u can fly 2 a nearby city then from there u take a train. Like I am flying 2 frankfurt then from there i will take a 2 hours train between 20 to 42 euro (depends if i reserve a seat or not ) to schweinfut.

I have checked for you . if you choose 2 fly 2 frankfurt too u can take a connecting train to Bremen . Its about 5 hrs trip and the price range between 35 euro to 106 euro depends on the ticket you buy . The website is www.bahn.com

so if you are on budget like me u can fly 2 frankfurt less than 100k then connect 2 ur city with like 100 euro or less then u see that with 150k or less ,u are in bremen
35 - 106, Daylight roberry, please use the bus (www.meinfernbus.de) ,it's 2 hrs difference and cost less than 20Euro, thank me later
