Neyoalao:
I was reading through the old thread and came across this message by Eke40seven on Nov 18 2014 and it hurts to still realize that the trend is still the same till now.

Eke40seven :
Your question brings us back to what we are really missing on this thread...I don't know if am gonna step on toes, but the feedback available after getting visa is really poor. People just tend to gain from something and NEVER give back.
Back to you Brother without elaborating much because of some confidential details...one thing about the southern States like Munich is that they are quite expensive in terms of accommodation and cost of living but there is more than enough job to go round...the Bavarian accent too is something else but there are quite a number of English speakers...If you want a metropolitan life Munich in the south will give it to you..there are other smaller (relative) southern cities which are less expensive but still good. e.g Nuremberg, Fürth, Ingolstadt, Augsburg, Würzburg, all in Bavaria and Stuttgart, Reutlingen, Heilbronn in Baden Württemberg. Hamburg in the north is not as rich as the south, but its a great metropolis one can survive in although relatively colder but with a clearer accent.
The thing you should consider as a new migrant I think is to know where you know someone so that you can settle better and more easily then may be move on when you have found your bearing.
PM ogbeche77 , he schools in Munich and should be able to give you a more detailed description. While you are at it, you can register with toytown-germany and look up similar questions or ask about your city of interest if the people there can help with information (note that people there are not the street hustling type and their view may be 'buttered' kind of)
My 2 cowries!
*****************************************************
I want to make some truthful comments, in respect to people who had crossed over excluding those who are just settling and finding their bearing. Most have really gained from the combined wisdom of this thread, travel dreams and aspirations which have been nurtured right to the extent of leaving the shores of the nation but after that people tend to just easily forget the thread and never come to add from their experiences after gaining from others... which is rather exploitative and selfish or will I say snobbish..There was a thread on german student's survival, none hardly visit but look at the UK's equivalent, very very vibrant and great ideas are shared.
How I just wish I had my visa already I could have revived it or at least carry on from where they stopped. I understand that study could be intense and hustle demanding, but if all that were on this thread and left successfully for Germany spends just 10 minutes a week to post something, this thread would be the best by far.
I hail those ogas who visit from time to time though.
I hail some selfless dudes like Naijaobi (who has been present from page 2or 3) Beebee5000, Kelly4top, junipro and some others who show up from time to time.
Just saying something as short and meaningless as "Rostock is quite a cold and interesting place" can inspire someone out there as someone also inspired you when you didn't even know what a certified copy is.
This thread was inspired by suxes2005 by just mere observation that getting german visa was relatively easy and that simple post have helped so many either directly or indirectly.
Well, ama introduce the 'Eke40seven meets.... on german JJC moments', a sorta interview for new comers to Germany.
..........coming soon
I know why many don't come back and contribute regularly and as for the bolded above, abeg whoever wrote that aint know nadda cool

Hello family,
I am glad to be here once again. I used to be an observer on the 1st thread of General German Visa Enquiries grin

Now to my question oo, my people.smiley I am currently studying in Italy(1st year) and I would like to cross to Germany to continue my studies. I already have a residence permit for the purpose of study in Italy, so I don't need a visa to Germany, but I need to obtain a residence permit within the first 3months according to my research.

Now, I would like to know how much I need to deposit in blocked account with German bank to obtain residence permit. I would also like to have survival tips for international students in Berlin grin

Thank you all in anticipation.
What kind of resident permit do you have in Italy? i guess Permesso di Soggiorno per motivi di Studio probably with a 2 years validity, if yes sorry to burst your bubble, you need a visa to study in Germany and also with a DB block account of the required amount of 8670 Euros and an admission letter to a University or Poly in DE.

Also be prepared to be asked this question from the Visa officer in Rome, why you decided to change your study to Germany from Italy and give a good answer to that. (If you are going for a English language degree, you know what to say and if it's a German language degree course, proof of German is needed)
The embassy staffs in Rome are very nice, friendly and supportive with any information you asked them through email and they get back to you within 2 days to my experience.
Lastly you can only apply for a German study visa,if you are already more than 6 months in Italy, which i believe you have passed.

Wishing you all the best in your endeavor to change country of study.
Ciao!

It's definitely real and you'll make money according to your input but one must learn all the basics to start first and it's not instant money.
This is not MMM as you not expecting any help, its pure and simple product promotion.
If you ask me I've been doing this since 2011 and i like the feeling of getting paid monthly although its more of a hobby to me now due to study.

Hi guys! Please i need help from those that applied to universities at germany and are now successfully studying at their various institutions. One, is it compulsory to have your certificates certified and if so, how can i do mine cos I'm presently not in Nigeria and I don't know how i can do the certification from here in the UK. Also, i would appreciate if anyone studying there presently could please pm me about the visa processing. I'm really concerned and I don't want to make any mistakes.
Please i need info on Leipzig uni, rhein waal, freiburg uni and unibremen. Thanks in advance.
The German embassy in London should do it for free as i did mine several times in Milan Italy.
No need to send them to naija.
Make sure you go there personally with originals and copies

Good evening all
I'm new to the thread and read extensively well about securing the German student visa I must commend everyone contributing in one way or the other. Well I'm 21 years of age with Waec( obtained in 2011) as my highest certificate for now sadly I've come to terms with the fact that it can't secure me an admission.( I don't want the studienkollege route) as advised earlier by Eke40seven I've resorted to spend a year at Noun( take IETLS same year as I intend applying to only English taught courses ) and obtain necessary results for admission into any business related course. Please any idea on minimum acceptable grade?
Any B.sc 2018 hopeful feel free to relate.
Use studienkolleg and thank me later

@OP you say it's cheap? You are a dreamer.

.com.ng is N1,500
.ng isN15,000

Get your facts right.
I was like is the Op aware of the price of .ng domain name?
15000 naira and not 1200 naira as claimed.
If only the ministry of information would set the price of .ng domain at 1500-3000 naira as this would increase usage and revenues yearly for the government.
As for me I'll stick to .com domains as it's cheaper.

Giving false information in front of a visa officer in Embassy is equals to lie.
Dem go catch una sooner or later and let me remind some here.
In Germany including their Embassy every thing you say is documented and kept for 5yrs or more depending on the offices and pulling out your records is small thing.
Go on give false information, lie, fake any certificate them go catch you. grin

Hey guys
Good to read some of the guidelines on this platform but I want to quickly ask...
A close trusted friend wants to arrange a business visa invitation for my cousin and wants to charge us 150 euro though he would help prepare him for embassy and other assistance
What do you think guys? Is this correct?
I have a feeling that the 150 euro is just too much to charge but coming from a trusted family friend baffles me
Your kind advise will be appreciated
Time is money
Your cousin or you can forget the invitation, if 150€ is too much.
Please forward that info to those who need them and they'll gladly pay the amount for that invitation.
My opinion.
No. You don't understand me. A pounds account is different from an Euro account. I have an Euro account with commerze bank which operates in Germany.

And the reason why I asked is because In past threads, the DB denied a few people and they were asked to open another account.

So therefore, it means DB is only the recommended but not the compulsory account.

I don't mind opening the DB. I just want to be sure I won't have problems later. E.g questions like 'since you already have an account with commerze bank, why open with DB?'
Only DB is authorized to open block account for incoming students.
@Pearl93 irrespective of the account you have with commerz bank, you must open a DB block account as a student.
@Williamso It's just the way Germans do their thing and i guess for documentation purpose, imagine different block account papers, more work and visa processing time.

Have you never heard of "summer admission"??

Or are there no German universities that offer admission for summer intake next year and when does the application for that begin and end.

Don't rush to say rubbish; the word scam is very powerful, this is someone's business you are trying to bring down; someone's livelihood.

Always think before you post anything online.
Only a gullible student would fall for this.
German student visa don't need agent to do any application or find admission.

Considering the present harsh economic situation in the country, two kids maximum.

But our Hausa/Fulani/Muslim brothers and sisters have a contrary opinion.

Check my signature and contact me so we begin working on your application and visa.

Greetings everyone,
Please am interested in studying computer science (Undergraduate) in Germany. Have gone through the thread, and I must confess u guys are doing a great job, have gotten the skeletal structure of the whole procedure. Thanks

I have OND in computer science and have tried searching for schools, got a university in Ulm offering computer science and another university in Hamburg.

Have contacted the one in Ulm on Phone and was told they admit only for winter semester and application is currently closed.

My dilemma now is; the university in Ulm wants my documents assessed by studienkolleg, but the one in Hamburg uses Unii-assist, please I need more schools under studienkolleg or uniassist offering computer science at undergraduate level, I intend applying to as many schools as possible.

Thanks a lot
At the moment I'll advice you to ignore any search for Studienkolleg and enroll for a German language class from A1 till B1or B2 preferably at Goethe Institut.
Without a B1 German language certificate no studienkolleg would grant you admission to write their entrance examination.
No short cut, I am a witness
