SOLARPOWER1: Now I have already registered for mawista and my school is still asking for exemption from statutory health insurance.... Is it possible to cancel my mavista immediately and register for TK or any other public health insurance without any problem... I need info before I mail mawista... If you register for TK or AOK, you can only cancle after 3 months. So you can use AOK to process the school stuff and get visa, when you get here, straight up cancle it as it would run for 3 months before they accept your cancelation, there's no immediate cancelation. Before you do make sure your school and your foreign office accept mawista. |

Venerable612: :-This guy has played the game of the Street Perfectly.
All of us wey read book - OYA STEP UP!
Make we no read book in vain
As Modified - for those quoting me:
Kindly teach your children to be street-smart. Street-smart will always beat book smart anytime.
I believe this is important “...because the street culture has evolved what may be called a code of the streets, which amounts to a set of informal rules governing interpersonal public behavior, including violence.
The rules prescribe both a proper comportment and a proper way to respond if challenged. They regulate the use of violence and so allow those who are inclined to aggression to precipitate violent encounters in an approved way.
The rules have been established and are enforced mainly by the street-oriented, but on the streets the distinction between street and decent is often irrelevant; everybody knows that if the rules are violated, there are penalties.
Knowledge of the code is thus largely defensive; it is literally necessary for operating in public.
Therefore, even though families with a decency orientation are usually opposed to the values of the code, they often reluctantly encourage their children's familiarity with it to enable them to negotiate the inner-city environment”. Did street smart develop that phone you are using to type this rubbish? |

Romance › Re: I Don't Know What My Problem Is With Men And Dating by styles2009: 11:45am On Dec 03, 2019 |
Harlequeen: I opened this account because my main one is pretty popular.
I've had this issue and don't know what's wrong. I can't seem to get into a new relationship. I am now 25, about serving, working a normal job
My dating history is not too rich. I dated just one guy for 2 years, i became sexually active with him, we enjoyed each other, but things didn't work out. I tried to be better, have moved on, and he has too. This was mid last year. I have been celibate since then not because i don't like sex, but because i had time to think, i read a lot of books, listened to a lot of relationship counselors on YouTube, reddit, Nairaland and so on. I decided to approach dating differently, with my head and not my heart . i would vet men out who were not in line with some basic standards, to avoid fuckboys and meet high quality men. He should be well spoken, either with a career or into trade, accomplished, way older by at least 10 yrs(no i don't have daddy issues, i just like mature guys because i think like a mature person) he could also have plans to leave the country, because i plan to do that also.
Here's the issue, the men that express interest in me do not fit this criteria. They seem to have no plan for their lives. I get this impression that they are broke, they recycle the same lines all the time, i usually see their bull sh1t tactics a mile away. some are in the army(i can't date men in the armed forces, they lifestyle is not what i want for myself, cannot date doctors either for the same reason)others are artisans, some are plain hustlers who just do whatever to eat. I have a soft spot for ambitious men, and i have not seen a lot in the area that i am in. I have been advised by my friends to try highbrow areas like lekki or VI or go to church, but i don't believe in religion.
But whenever i see these men, i am not attracted to them. I have even tried online dating with some male nairalanders, but i get disinterested easily. I get turned off when someone asks for my normal pics, it is quite frustrating. There's that fear that some of these men could use my pics to masturbate or one other creepy purpose. I block them if they ask for nudes. But the issue is, it is quite exhausting to keep chatting with someone without seeing them in person and some of these guys just want to smash and run which i won't allow. No man will have access to my vagina and womb without investment and commitment. Eventually it becomes hard to keep up communication and we just fizzle out like that.
I am not under pressure to marry from my parents, infact my dad says he won't allow his daughters marry until they clock 28 and i am the first. He wants us to have a career and a life before moving with a man. I just want to know if what i am doing is right?
To be honest, i just want some words of advice and encouragement, you can ask me questions if you want. This approach of mine? Is it the right thing? Am i being too smart for my own good? Am i afraid of commitment? Shilon then |

Ligogu: Hello, is been a while now, please i have questions.
Germany has a specific rule regarding working for students. 1. Student should work part-time only which is 4 hrs daily. Or student should work full-time in ½360 (180 days a year full time).
Now the question is, does this rule really take effect?? Are there any penalty if someone breaks this rule or they don't really care about it that much Don't break the rule, stick to the 120 full-time in a year or 20hrs per week during the lecture period. German officials can find out, if you break the rule and the consequence are not funny. Cheers |

Thegamingorca: You didnt see the crux of my point, where I said learning it in germany far beats learning german in Nigeria. You are highlighting my spelling of Deutsche.
Let me also now be petty and highlight something off about your first sentence
seems you've become a little rusty. That's better!
I'll now repeat that You should be just fine after getting a B2 certificate from Goethe Lagos. But ild advice you enrol in your local vfs or even a Goethe school closest to you in Deutschland. Cos it's a General opinion that the native learning outshines what you learn back home and that fact can not be overstated. Surprisingly, even the Indians agree Let me be rusty a bit as I'm less busy. This is what you get quoting source from Wikipedia, hope you don't do this when schooling here. Stop this advising, I'm done learning German years back probably before you probably heard about tuition free German Universities. You want to win arguments online, if you like no learn German for Goethe before you come and think you'll swallow a magic pill, when your learn it in Germany, where's the time? the resources? The time you'll used for summer language school here are precious hours to work full time. #don'tdull |

Thegamingorca: It's true that learning german in Nigeria helps but even that doesn't qualify as having learnt german. Its just like how you'll find it difficult to understand a Scottish or English native when dey speak so also you'll find it difficult keeping up with Germans.
If you say you won't attend vhs or language courses in germany and focus on work. That integration you are planning will still be difficult. Nothing beats learning Deutsche from the native speakers of hochdeustsche First, it"s call Deutsch not Deutsche; Deutsche is another thing entirely. What is integration to your understanding? If you don't have a strong grasp of german Grammatik and come here to try and integrate with natives, my guy you go fail cos your german sentences would be full of errors. I stand by what, I said earlier, I have been there, done it and it's working, Go to Goethe, learn up to B2, don't hurry Germany journey, plan,be prepared, learn a handyman job before you come, your B2 basic structure would help you quickly understand german within a yr or 2 cos i used a different strategy learning. As for the Handyman job, that's a steady side income, I paint, fix cupboard, give PC tutorials in German among other things. Cheers! |

willy2000: And who told you learning German in Nigeria doesn't qualify as having learned German! People are suggesting the cheapest, easiest and fastest way to integrate, you are here typing gibberish. I left Nigeria with a B1 certificate, and it sure helped. You understand what they say, and get to experience all the grammar you learned, how it is used. You only pick the accents from native speakers and not the grammar. Go and ask a native speaker to explain dativ and see how he will explain it. But ask a Nigerian who teaches and knows his onions in Goethe to do the same, he breaks it down for you to understand. @willy2000 You only pick the accents from native speakers and not the grammar. that dativ part is funny as hell. @willy2000, This is 100% and as for @Thegamingorca, I dey laugh at your opinion cos, who no go no know |

How about learning that German in Naija till B2 before you come cos e go help you well well on the long run also with the menial job side, school and finding a professional job later. The time you'll used learning German in Germany, you go use am work tire. Time is freaking precious here. Thegamingorca: Dont expect too much from getting pr through getting a job in your line easily especially when you don't take semester breaks and learn Deutsche. No one is saying you shouldn't be in a haste to finish masters and get job but the truth is Germans dont really care about your degree as there are plenty hundreds with same degree you graduated with. Germans only care aboutvwhat you can actually bring to the table. Thats why it's adviced you learn deustche for a start to c1 this will eliminate your competition by 90%. Another thing is internships or observorships lol these internships on your cv represent needed practical exposure to your intended line of work and will set you miles apart than someone that rushto graduate in 18months only
Also depending on where you stay 400€ won't be enough to cover rent, let alone other expenses especially If you are unfortunate/fortunate to school in Berlin. On the other hand, lager jobs in Berlin pay well and the residence permit you get last 3yrs before renewing with proof of blocked account funds. However if you live in the outskirts bundeslander of Berlin aka Brandenburg, you'll be paying far less on rent and have to review block account yearly for you rp as a student.
As far as your age is concerned in Deutschland no one gives two shits about that...that's why a 40yr old german man can still be waiting in line/batch to go to medical school to start work as an arzt. As far as menial jobs go your only enemy is not your age but your Level of deutsche |
