8. he handed over to a democratically elected gov't.

compare that with jonathan achievements
1.political insecurity and insurgency in the north
2. depletion of foreign reserve from $67billion to 30 billion dollars
3. increase in recurrent expenditure from 74% to 91% despite huge oil sale
4.increase in oil price
5. missing $20 billion excess crude oil money
6. introduction of religious bigotry into politics
7. pardoning of convicted criminal like alameisya

A Research and Development Centre (R&DC) has been established and a lot of development work is being undertaken. The 81mm
Mortar and RPG7 were developed by the centre using local raw material and prototypes were produced and successfully tested.
