FamilyRe: Wife Vs Sister. Advice Please. by subzidi: 1:26pm On Jun 03, 2013
@ OP
I recall few years ago when i was still single living with my elder brother! A scenario like this almost surfaced but i was more matured than his wife hence i decided to be the fool! Why? I was living in the same house(2 bed flat) with my elder bro and younger bro and was paying 50% of the rent. As a matter of fact, i found the house and we joined forces together to make it a mini family home. Along the line, my brother met his wife(then girlfriend)and during my interaction with him he never gave sign of wanting to marry her reason being her spoken English was not polished. I encouraged him to look beyond all that and consider her good sides. Before i knew it bro had gotten her pregnant and even started marriage rites without informing me. Within few months my bro asked my younger bro who was sharing a room with him to move into my room no consultation/nothing!
As if that was not enough, he started putting me under pressure to look for alternate accomodation and leave the house(a house my rent was still running on)! I practically became a stranger, i was stopped from using the kitchen, wearing shoe to enter the sitting room and other funny rules! My bro did not show any iota of leadership by atleast pre-informing his younger sister he was living with to start making alternate arrangement or even go move himself . Well, i started searching for accomodation without knowing God had another plan and that was when i met my hubby so instead of moving out i moved into my hubby's home grin Today everybody is happy and they all want my relationship but hmmmmmm
In all, i guess you dropped balls by not showing enough leadership in this matter, your younger sister should naturally know you were getting married and should have envisaged this but it behoved on you to have discussed this plan with both parties before even signing the dotted lines.
Having said all these, your younger sister should move back to Owerri, the last time i checked jobs are online and in newspapers so she can still from the East search for jobs in Lagos. If she has interview or test to do in Lagos you can pay for hotel for her. Am even surprised that after nysc your sister was not able to have saved enough money to learn a skill/start small biz shocked to even engage in physical combat with your wife meant no iota of respect for you! i gave my bro's wife 5 solid years not once did i challenge her! your sis needs to move bact to the East o jare infact her hubby might even be there sef grin

Hello Akintr,
Well come on board, and i pray the Lord grants you a positive result on this journey! However, you need to also understand that ivf is NOT sure proof as in 100% guranteed! In fact the success rate is about 35-40% for places with good success rate. I'm not trying to scare you but to also lay some facts on the table but at the end of the day God has the final say!I pray that the money you have laboured to go on this project will not be in vain.
I used Dr Emeka for my 1st failed and 2nd cycle that was cancelled due to poor response. It may not have anything to do with the doctor but there are certain precautions you need to take like 1 to 2 months before embarking on this journey as shown in Pikinmamas post.
For me, i'm given my body some rest, taking care of the spiritual side by going for deliverance as HOUSEHOLD wickedness also has something to do with my issue but JEHOVAH has won the battle for me.
You can email me on chinedu.pavina@gmail.com to talk more if you need to talk to someone who has passed through this route before!
Peace be unto you!
@ Buccassious congrats sis and may the journey be sweet and smooth for you and the rest of us regardless of what we have been diagnosed with God's word in Exodus 23 vs 26 MUST be fullfilled in our lives...
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Appropriate Make-up For A Job Interview by subzidi: 4:01pm On May 20, 2013
@ OP: I believe this is your first job interview? Well my own belief is moderation, no loud make up or clothing. I perfer Trouser Suit(it makes you look smarter and taller if you are short. Best colors you cant go wrong on are black, grey or navy blue. This can be paired with white, baby pink, skyblue or grey camisole/inner shirts as the case might be). Then skirt suit of same color category. Be careful not too wear too short or too long/lousy skirts and if you've got yammy or hairy legs(like me grin) better to hide them under a trouser. These options keep you in safe mode. Pink lipgloss or nude color depending on your complexion, light gold eyeshadow, nude color eyeshadow or light pink eyeshadow is okay.
Above all, your best apparel is confidence!
Good luck!!
FamilyRe: Update; I Am 31 And getting married soon by subzidi: 10:20am On May 13, 2013
DailyNews: Hello OP, I understand how you feel because I have once had female relations who had it all financially and beauty-wise, but were unable to find suitor, and I will tell you some truths here, pls don’t take it as an insult, just use it to liberate your mind.

The truth is that your problem started the very day you landed that job in a blue chip company, which I know already to be an oil firm (NLNG, Chev or Mob). As k me why I said that? As an African woman, you are wired to become- pompous, arrogant, prideful, disrespectful, etc to men who earn lesser than you once you are earning a big income, that’s a proven fact, and all African men crave for respect from their women, reason why most Nigerian guys find it difficult to consider single ladies earning big income for marriage except you guys had been dating before you got the job and you remained loyal and humble, and didn’t turn unruly and wayward like most single ladies in Nigeria that earn high income.

Remember, reasonable men don’t care about how much you have or how many countries you have visited before they consider you to be their wife; all they care for is- humility, respect, homeliness, decency, and generally good character, do you have those qualities or have you thrown them away in the midst of living glossy life and hoping that your fat pocket and widely travelled status would secure you a husband? If so, you need to work on your character and pray fervently to God for the grace of humility and moral uprightness.

From your words (pls forgive me if I sound harsh, just trying to help you see certain truths), you have intentionally blacklisted certain group of guys who are obviously your best bet in this situation. I know that deep down your heart, you want a man that’s earning higher than you, who must also be widely exposed like you, and that maybe your mistake number one because not every lady will marry a very rich guy, and not every lady will have a good-paying job that you already have, so you seehuh God might have given you that good job for you to build your own family, for you to help your husband to be to stand, while you are busy complaining and waiting for Dangote’s younger son to come marry you, pls wake up.

Another painful truth is this: most men earning higher than you wouldn’t want to marry a lady who is earning big income because they wouldn’t want disrespect from their woman and they do want a homely woman who would respect them and have time to take care of their kids (not all, but most, talking from male perspective though), and that’s why you see such men going to marry ladies with peanut job, or those that are still serving in NYSC or unemployed and with no or less exposure like you have.

Real men don’t marry a woman because of where she works, how much she earns, where she lives or family she comes from, they marry for love, good character and person. In order words, if you want to increase your chances of finding a husband, please consider guys who are still working towards becoming financially free and work diligently and prayerfully with them to build your own home, but if you like, ignore this, you might still find your fantasy husband as God permits.

I am not saying you should go and sponsor a man, nope, but there are average guys looking for working class ladies like you, consider them, and stop complaining that they are unsettled, blah, blah, blah, and waiting for those that are earning higher than you cos it may not be God’s plan for you.

Try and be visiting home (village I mean) during Easter and Christmas. One of my friends that was born and brought up here in Nigeria met his wife in the village during Xmas, and guess what? The girl returned from United States to celebrate xmas in the village too, and FYI, her dad happened to be a very wealthy doctor in the states, and yet, she couldn’t find a husband in New York until she came to the village. They are living so happily married in the states right now.

One of my cousins met his wife in the village during xmas, and another of my close friend who wedded last Easter met his wife in the village during xmas and the girl returned from Abuja too. Guys no longer go to churches to search for wife because churches have been infiltrated by bad girls desperate for husband, reason you see guys going back home. School is another good environment, and if you must consider church, then you must be truly committed to not just Sunday activities, but weekly activities, can you?

So don’t just think that you will only meet your husband in the city- UK, Germany, etc….he maybe waiting for you in the village. But most importantly, change your mindset- money is nothing, and when I say nothing, I mean NOTHING, so remove money and status from your search and look for men with vision and creativity, and stop seeing yourself as too big for certain kinds of men cos your God destined husband might be amongst those class of men you had been snaring at, be wise, life doesn’t always work as we wish and plan it to.

Good luck.
SPOT ON!!! Op please add this to my own piece of akara too! In fact, the above scenario was my own case! I pretended to be a job-seeker when i met my hubby while infact i was earning like thrice his salary then! Fast forward toady, he earns/makes 4times more than me financially! I saw the pottential, i saw an honest hardworking, God fearing man who adored me and i ran with it!
FamilyRe: Update; I Am 31 And getting married soon by subzidi: 10:10am On May 13, 2013
Nne dont worry! You've taken the first bold step. Afterall, problem shared is half solved. 31 years is not too old an age though quite ripe. There are so many friends i have just like you. In fact, one is a manager in one of the Telecomms, drives an SUV, still a virgin @ 36yrs! She hardly goes out except weddings, birthdays etc. Try and avoid going in groups with your fellow girls when out for social gatherings, a guy that wants to talk to you might be intimidated by the flock of chicks/your gfs around you, gfs can also yab or badmouth when they are in groups so even if you spot a guy you are cutting an eye for they might spoil it for you by yabbing the heck out of the guy grin .Limit hanging out with married friends too,you might be assumed to be married as well. For now avoid wearing rings, yes including cocktail rings, soemtimes guys cannot even differentiate which one is which, when you finally get hooked you can wear 10 on your fingers if you chose to.
Like others have said, have an open mind as you might even meet your Mr. Right on this thread despite all the junks being posted here by some boys guys tongue. Just give a try to any of the proposals on here but use your head. YOU MUST BE THE ONE TO CHOSE MEET UP PLACE(PUBLIC) remember Cynthia's case cry
Above All, pray and ask God to lead you and i'm sure if you have a very strong intuition/discerning mind you will never go wrong!
By the way I got married at 31yrs and i met my darling HUBBY on FACEBOOK yes you heard me FACEBOOK!

All the best gal....

@ Gimnaeto It is well sister, dust yourself and push it behind you! You can read my own case below:
I want to encourage each and everyone of us. I had a bad report from my medical examination yesterday as the scan says i was not responding well to my stimulation ie IVF 2nd attempt. The procedure was cancelled, in addition the doctor saw another fibroid which he says there might be need to remove it! Ordinarily, i would have felt bad but NEVER, i got back to my office praising God in the rest room* MY GOD IS TOO FAITHFUL TO FAIL*
I believe this will make my testimony all the more edifying!

It is well with all of us and VICTORY will be ours SOOOOOOOOONNNNN!!!

Blendy77: I didn't say his results are not very bright. Those who are getting bfps are still getting it but a lot of nairalanders got bfn this period that was why I adviced SA if u have the time since the price difference is not much. Ivf is not automatic and it requires a special miracle from God to work. I did 3 with Dr Emeka b4 I got a bfp. So if money is an issue and u can afford 1m-1.2 then u can as well go to SA where u're sure u'll get the best if there's phrase like that.. You can also look at Bridge as they are also good. In all, pray to God for direction because the procedure also comes with its own confusion.
I concur with Blendy! The truth is, the hand of God is definitely required for IVF to work! Really, success rate on 1st trial is not that high depending on each individuals' circumstance. I think what really stands Dr Emeka out is his friendly disposition and willingness to listen to his patients which is lacking with many Doctors here who feel they are the alpha & omega. However, i still advise people do their research very well as there is alot of info on the internet especially on how to increase chances of bfps. I did with Emeka on 1st trial and i got a BFN 4 eggs produced only one fertilized. I'm on my 2nd trial now going with short antagonistic protocol as the initial long protocol for 1st trial was hard on my body! I pray we will get tripple for our trouble this time. What i plan doing differently this time is to have this injection that lengthens leautal phase and increases chances of implantation this procedure is at extra cost oooo! Some people do theirs without this injection and still get bfp. Also, i read that viagra suppository also helps with implantation i will also give this a shot in this cycle. Above all YAWEH has the final say!
I wish all of us God's speed and blessings round about us! It is well even in the well... wink

Atimes when he wanted us to hang out together i would be in one joint watching football eg Ojez @ National stadium. It got to a point that he had to join me in watching and finally got converted to a Chelsea Supporter. Back in da days i had a huge crush on Jose Mourinho so calls him his rival cheesy

Wowzaaaa!! A big congrats to you Beliver84. As the Lord did for you so he shall do for all of us on this thread and on TTC thread! I pray that God provides the funds for any couple that desires this but cannot afford it! I listened to a program yesterday evening on "sharing life issues" with Wana-Wana on Inspiration FM Lagos. A guest was invited to talk about her ttc journey+ivf as she happened to be the first woman to have done it in Nigeria. She ended up with a twin boy/girl and they are both 13years now. Based on that, she and a couple of people of same interest opened an NGO named ASPIRE where they offer phsychological and financial support to couples that require them. You can call Inspiration FM to get the details. May God bless all our baby hustle with bfp!! For those in tww i wish you a fat red BFP, those stimming the Lord is your strength. AS for yours truely i'm thinking of going for short cycle antagonistic protocol(SP) since i did not respond well to long protocol(LP) as i learnt SP is easier on the body!

@Tanidabi: Yea i told Dr Emeka about all the supplements and he says they are good but i should stop once i start stimming. My ovarian reserve is very good from the AMH test i did with Dr Emeka, i am only 33 years young grin I even read that viagra suppository helps in embryo implantation ie after ET. Dr Emeka also confirmed that and told me there is also an injection they normally give after ET to lengthen Leautal phase, improve lining of the uterus which in turn helps in implantation but at an extra cost of N250k which i'm seriously considering. This is not a MUST as some women also get pregnant without this protocol unless of course you've had one failed cycle and would want to cross all your ts on the next go! Above all na God hand e dey...

Regarding your dilema, in the face of limited finance with respect to vacation, ivf and sister's wedding if im in your shoes i will choose ivf ooo!
In all, pray and choose the option that gladens your heart more!
All da best sis!!
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by subzidi: 12:37pm On Apr 08, 2013
@ Tanidabi: It is well my sister, God will see us through! I also use Dr Emeka,he did my 1st cycle that failed but i would still try again if dont get a natural bfp with this cycle hence looking at commencing by 17th April(God this is not an implication of lack of faith biko). During the 1st cycle in Dec 2012 i produced only 4 eggs and just 1 fertilized, further investigations were carried out ie AMH test and my result was good! Therefore, i researched online and zeroed it down to maybe poor quality egg. Since January i've been taking natural suplements to boost my eggs e.g royal jelly, bee pollen, organic wheatgrass, organic barley grass, maca roots, pregnacare conception, boots folic acid, vit c, feros(dont know if spelt correctly).I noticed my period has been regular with less pain and less clothing since two months now.
I belive God that my next cycle will be my testimony of goodnews!!
On another note: I went for Blendy's children's dedication it was AWESOME and i could feel the spirit of God during the prayers over the babies by her church people, i used the opportunity to tap my own annointing! I prayed God for the fact that i rejoiced with her SHE/PEOPLE shall also come to my home to rejoice for my own children's dedication!

There are natural ways of improving egg quality cos producing eggs is not enough as the quality also matters! Some natural supplements that can help improve EWCM, egg quality are royal jelly(capsules), wheatgrass(capsules or powder),maca root(capsules),bee pollen capsules! These supplements are also good for women going for other ART but should be taken over 60-90days for improved result which i'm currently on +pregnacare conception. These supplements are sold in good health pharmacy shops e.g Healthplus,Medplus...

Hello People: I greet all of you ooo! In addition to what one poster said on natural remedies, i really concur cos i've tried some and experiencing the result.

I really do not care what tribe my president comes from, so long as i get home from work and i have light 24-7,i sleep with both eyes closed and no fear of armed robbery, my younger ones graduate and get jobs! Wake up people, tribe does not deliver basic amenities for good living rather GOOD governance does! Do not vote against tribal/religious divide go for competence people!!
By the way i'm IGBO....

Hmmmm thunder fire ttc &devil!!! Our expectation shall not be cut off and just like the bible says in Deut28vs4 shall be fulfilled in our lives!! As per Servant Victor, i called him and he prayed for me the same format was also used. I felt since it was just an ordinary prayer in the name of Christ then no fear! My worry was when he asked to put my hands on my chest while standing then pray thus: Dear God i'm sorry for all the sins i've committed, knowingly and unknowingly. If you have forgiven me lord, move me backwards by fire by force....haaa this pattern of prayer did not go downd so well with me as i know it is not in line with my biblical conviction. I also derived some insight on what Lizzylaw posted cos someone or fakeee out to harm you may be futuristic in his approach by gaining your trust and all that. I started getting negative vibes in my spirit and i had to stop.
May God not let us entangle our self into more trouble than we can handle all because we do not have faith! Right now, i'm working on my faith right now as my hubby does not believe in all these man of God prayer/deliverance thingy!! He tells me "all ye like men are Gods" cant remember the part of the scripture he got that from and also beliveves that the prayer we both pray and believe God together for is stronger!!
It is well my sisters, i trust God that by this time next year , all of us that BELIEVE will be nursing our babies! Even if we dont believe, please help our unbelief Lord!!!
Shalom

MamaTriplets: @Twingirls, like ℓ̊ said earlier there is a thread to that effect. Ɣ☺ΰ can check the front page or Religion Forum. You are very Welcome to join. @All, my Mum called me to tell me of three women that ℓ̊ know that just gave birth to twin Babies within the week, and like a popular saying goes; wen Your neighbours are getting wat Ɣ☺ΰ are praying for, Its means that God is in the Neighbourhood. Hold the Master's Wrapper wella. Some of Us are just like the woman with the issue of Blood who had spent all she had on physicians but there was no head way. Reach out to the Saviour in this Season and let the Resurrection Power that is already at work within Ɣ☺ΰ Quicken Your Mortal Bodies to Conceive and Produce!!! It Will Happen in Ɣ☺ΰr Life!!! AMEN.
A RE_SOUNDING AMEN!!
