@ post: who goes to inform his father inlaw about his bereavement with a copy of death certificate?not seen or read about it related to any culureand igbo man for that matter ! Secondly he didn't deny/re-buff the allegation of cheating on the wife with another woman. I am going with Taryour on this! Let's not forget that MEN value RESPECT more than the much mouthed (love)! The woman disrepected her hubby in the 1st instance by buying the BB and further by engaging in a chat with her ex! Yes she can afford it for herself but for goodness sake this is marriage where couples are accountable to each other not BF/GF thingy !
As for the hubby, he over reacted by smashing the BB but it was the wife's action that resulted to the husband's reaction(newton's law ). As Madam CC said, money wasted by the hubby hence seizing the phone would have been more appropriate but you never can tell how you react when that momentary anger/madness creeps in.
The woman in this case is still grappling with adapting to the dynamics of submissiveness in marriage while the man should learn how to be in charge without being forceful/violent or physical!

Hmmmm this has just jolted me!! In my case, a very good friend of mine from University days that i ran into in Lagos and we became very good friends. I used to spend weekends at her place when i was single and we shared alot of memorable/good/bad events together hence i could rightly call her my best FRIEND! She was working in the bank but decided to quit and travel to the UK to pursue a career in the health sector and up on untill she got her VISA and ticket i was not carried along untill few days to her departure! Hubby then fiance was not cool with that and rightly told me that if she were to be a very close/best friend like i take her then i shold have been in the know having asked her to be my maid of honor! Which she did and had to fly back to Naija just to do it in order to make up for her Bleep up
Now my dilema is that she is through with her studies in the UK and planning to come back to Naija to get a job in the health sector but wants to STAY in our home pending when she settles. I dont have a problem with the idea but hubby does as he says she is not a good friend like claim! I might sound naive but i dont know how to tell her no as her planned arrival date is fast approaching(October)!

Nice topic: recently a friend complained to me of how her hubby has been chatting up random gals on the internet eg badoo, 2go collecting bb pins+phone nos of the ladies on these social network sites! She found out and all hell broke loose in fact she went mad & smashed both her phone & her hubby's phone as she had earlier forewarned him about chatting with strangers(ladies) off the internet all in the name of making new friends!! In my home I am making conscious effort to ensure it doesn't cause a distance hubby is a geek and myself nairaland addict the reason I'm online @ NL while hubby is snoring away in his sleep hehehehe

@ 0.P : I'm an advocate of keeping the traditional vows of marriage but not when infedility/physical abuse is involved!
Your hubby comes off as an unrepentant cheat and I wonder how many times you'll get yourself treated for std in the course of this marriage.I'm sure if you were financiaLly empowered he would think twice before going down this lane!
If you were a friend,I'd advise you to move out with your kids if possible, get yourself a job or business! You'd 1st be alive before you can train those kids as there are loads of life threatening stds out there and since your man is romping with these other women you never can tell the cocktail of stds awaiting you in the future!

Like seriously, i wonder where some ladies meet these kind of men Even when i'm not sick but prolly tired or something my hubby would drive us out to fastfood and would almost spoon feed me if care is not taken!And yes we are age mates and he still pampers me like rotten meanwhile i never get preggo you can imagine what will happen when that time comes!
All the qualities you listed that made you feel your hubby was God sent are mere basic qualities any MAN/most men have. At times we ladies do not tell ourselves the truth, like someone pointed in the post any man who was not caring to you b4 marriage will not start doing that overnight except by the grace of God or something. I have a good friend in a similar situation who recently got married to a guy we all knew something was wrong with! yet she went ahead to marry him all because she wanted to answer MRS.During their courtship, this babe had an accident on third mainland bridge and she called her then BF to help , story the guy did not show up neither did he come to hospital to visit her! Meanwhile the chic gave the bobo her car while she was joining a colleague b4 the accident happened! There are numerous instances of selfishness her then BF exhibited which i do not want to re-count. Now if this my friend gets preggo tomorrow and the bobo refuses to pamper her anybody that hears her gist would think the guy changed overnight without knowing he never loved her in the first place!
I remember the first row i had with my hubby which is stated on my thread! we were both miserable during the 3 day incommunicado!And the make up was funny as we were both incessantly apologising to each other! Sista Jenny kudos to you for talking sense into my skull then

Hmmmm Like i informed you guys earlier, i've done my HSG 19th June, result dye did not pass through or form balloon blah blah blah. Tubal spasm and final result inconclusive and after the session i spotted from 19th June till 10th July.
I do not temp or have the patience to check for O; we jes(in Ghanian accent---lol)dey BD dey go! Meanwhile, ive been very excited since this morning for 1st time ever since this ttc journey,all i know is i will carry my God given children one day and soon... my period looks like its late but i'm not PTing till another two weeks! I'm celebrating my victory already in this my birthday month and month of perfection...Please join me in rejoicing if you are also believing...i discovered the devil gets angry when chidren of God rejoice in adversity---------COUNTING IT ALL JOY!!

@ Maryswag, your Drs might be right by telling you not to remove the uterine fibroids yet moreso when its been diagnosed that the position would not affect the pregnancy as my sister had it but the positions did not affect her pregnancies today she has 2 kids. In my case, the position was not good for pregnancy(submucosal or so) hence my doc advised I removed it as some fibroids pending on position+preggy could be high risk. Like someone earlier said, its better for you to find out the root cause of the mc you can start by hysteroscopy to check the condition of the walls of d uterus and actual position/s of the fibroids. A friend recommended one hospital at Ebutte Metta( family health centre)the dr's name is Mensah from ghana 08023281028.Though I use Reddington(my coy's hosp) the gynae I use there is dr iweala but I plan to use dr mensah as my 2nd option! It is well sis!

I would be going for hysteroscopy(using catheter/saline water) and HSG on the 19th of June to acertain the condition of my uterus/tubes respectively. I'm a little anxious about it. Please who has done this procedure before and what am i going to expect in terms of pain/discomfort though my gynae says its nothing to worry about. I'd appreciate a response....many thanks

I did'nt have it easy either when i was in school yet i had both parents! I worked really hard to assist my parents in paying the school fees and i was same age as you then! I made money from writing Jamb, WAEC and GCE for people disclaimer{do not go that route), i was braiding hair for my friends+fellow students, did assignment for students who are too busy to do it themselves, sold 2nd hand stuffs, did ushering jobs at events,organized holiday classes for primary/secondary school students the list is endless.In fact i cannot remember any holiday that i did not work as an undergraduate(FULL-TIME).BTW i graduated with a good grade!
Trust me i was/still is a head turner, there were alot of temptations to go the easy route but held unto my God, self esteem and guarded my reputation jealously! And today its eureka for me , all those rough days are now part of history and NOW i'm gainfully employed+employer of labour too! Married to the bestest MAN on earth
My dear, look around you and find something you can do, there is dignity in labour ! Also, your younger ones should also be fending for themselves too! For Petes sake do not over pamper them or sell yourself all becos you want to make your younger ones comfortable! Life has thrown you guys a lemon hence it behoves on all of you to make a lemonade out of it! There so many odd jobs around like field marketing jobs, bus conductors(boys),cleaning services(in some estates people require someone to sweep their compounds, wash clothes e.tc) nanny job and so on and so forth....

kemidebbie: Let me put the story on hold for now. After 3months we started trying 4 another one at frist i was told that after 6months my body will go back to normal my sister is been one year now. I did not notice early that my brest was bring out milk until we saw this Dr she examined me that was stp last year placed me on parlodel 4 one month. after which i took it 4 another 2 month then in Dec i was place on clomind 4 three straight months. The last dosage of clomind was in Feb. Dr then asked my Dh to bring his fliud for analysis which he brought after stalling 4 about 1 month. Analysis = made fliud 47 m. With red blood cell + , he was placed on some antbotics 4 about 4wks, after that some vitamins 4 about six wks, i wish us all trucksload of baby dust. To be continue i am using phone to type sorry about the very long story hmmm!
