FamilyRe: Feelings For My Ex by subzidi: 3:23pm On Feb 26, 2013
Hi Epic Wify!
I would like to start by saying that what you are feeling or going through is not strange, however you need to seriously watch it! Coming from another perspective, i think there are more important things to occupy your mind/hands with. First, you have a budding business: why don't focus on it and explore more creative ways of expanding your horizon. Secondly; You are studying:why not giveit your all so that you come out tops. This is more like suggesting ways in which you can maximise your idle time.
Your hubby's job makes it difficult for him to be around to spen quality couple time but this is no excuse for re-establishing contact with ex(s)regardless of the circumstance surrounding the split(s).There is a reason why he is an ex!If you both were meant to be married it would have been but incidently nature(God) did not want it that way! Most times the grass is not greener at the other side. What you are feeling is mere fleeting emotion which should be discarded as it soon it came. Mind you, cheating is not only when you sleep with the another person outside of the marriage, there is also what is called EMOTIONAL CHEATING which atimes can be more dangerous than physical cheating.
There is nothing worth missing about that your ex cos in these days/age that virginity is scarce then a man pops it and does not put a ring on it or make concerted efforts to then you tell me he is worth your attention? Desist from comparing him with your hubby, as you said you cant trade your hubby for the world so keep it that way and FLEE from temptation cool God will help you and pls start by blocking him again or close your FB account already! My 2kobo submission

RomanceRe: When Your Partner Feels You Are Too Much For Him? by subzidi: 1:32pm On Feb 08, 2013
@ OP
I would start by saying you pay close attention to X-Solution and Peclints advice as they gave you the best advice so far and i really do not have much to add!
We have a lot of God given powers as women, my hubby then bf was earning far below me when we were starting, i saw this inherent pottential in him as a very smart, hardworking and honest man! I was mobile while he was not.In fact, he realy didnt know he had such qualities until i came into the picture and activated them. Two months after our wedding he got double promotion in his office based on my encouragements, exposing his strengths to him and transforming them into strategic values that turned his career around!

Guess what, even the tiny car i had/have he paid off the auto-loan, building a house for us to live and has promised to upgrade my car to an SUV before end of this year which i did not even request for!
Be wise, that stone that looks dirty might be a diamond in disguise.
Stay focused & blessed

FamilyRe: Can You Really Be Happy With The Same Person forever? by subzidi: 7:33am On Jan 10, 2013
@Post;
Being happy is relative! And one thing you must know is that you need to understand that it behoves on you first to make yourself happy than leaving that responsibility to someone. And btw it is not even all the time that you are happy with yourself not to talk of someone else! Yes long term relationship eg marriage is not a gurantee that one must always be happy or expect our spouses to make us happy all the time! It is a collective responsibility of parties involved to ensure that the embers of the relationship is always charged!
You can be content and fullfilled with same person forever but dont expect them to ALWAYS make you happy 24-7-365dys!

i am going to open the floor here, i have been ttcing for 4 yrs, ovaries stopped workinbf i clocked 20yrs. my only option is donor egg {de] i have tried ivf #1 and it failed, am goin too try again soon, in less than two months. i have been on some [tcm] traditional chinese medicine which de want me to take for half a year- with the hope of possibly restoring my ovaries but am not that paitient.
my main problem is my diet i really need to be serious and cut out all unhealthy foods. i like gari sooo much, but thank God so far i have been able to reduce my intake of garri to once in a week, lol. did i hear me say reduce, i need to cut it out like seriously.
please if u guys know any tip you think i should try, my eyes and ears are wide open. baby dust to us all. have a blessed nite.
Hello Britee,
I'm praying and wishing you are already pregnant now! I was about opening a thread on this to encourage ttc/ivf-ers on the need to also use herbal supplements before the ART. Regarding improving egg quality, i've read alot of good testimonies about Royal Jelly and Bee Pollen capsules. You can google them up! I'm trying them out now and praying that i get a natural conception this cycle while ofcourse prepping my mind for another round of IVF cycle.
Babydust all!!

By Carrie Friedman, Special to the Los Angeles Times

According to Resolve, the National Infertility Assn., one in eight U.S. couples of child-bearing age is diagnosed with infertility. Two long years ago, my husband and I unfortunately found ourselves in this category. It's been a heartbreaking journey ever since.

We still don't have any children to show for our efforts, but we remain hopeful that we'll eventually have the family we've always wanted. I don't talk about it much, because to retell it is to relive it, and this is hard enough to go through once. Also, over the years, I've heard my share of well-meaning but cringe-worthy statements that just made me feel worse.

My Turn: Personal stories by Health section readers

I feel for my friends and family, because they have the best of intentions and want to say something comforting and helpful. But there's almost nothing they can say.

Most people probably know at least one couple enduring infertility. If those couples are anything like me, here are five things they don't want to hear:

• Unless you are a board certified fertility doctor, please refrain from diagnoses. Anyone going through this has gotten second, third and fourth opinions: we don't need any more.

• Please don't tell us to "just" do anything. Examples: "I don't understand why you don't just get a surrogate" or "You should just adopt!" Often these are said with the nonchalance of suggesting we order a pizza. Both paths are unbelievably complicated and expensive (in every sense of the word), and we've probably already considered or are still considering them.

• Please don't tell us to relax or stop trying or "go on vacation and just have sex — surely it'll happen then." This dawned on us. It didn't work. And yet we still try every month, hoping for one of these incredibly wonderful (but unlikely) miracles that people love to mention.

• Don't tell us about your friends for whom it all worked out. We realize you're just trying to give us hope, and that's very nice of you, but unfortunately, it reinforces the feeling that it's happening for everyone but us.

• And finally, while we sincerely appreciate your interest and concern, please don't ask us if we're pregnant. As someone who's had miscarriages during the precarious first trimester, I'm very superstitious. You'll know when we're ready to share.

So, what can you say or do?

First, listen. Or, if you know it will make you uncomfortable to hear about it, let us know that. We'll be A-OK talking about something — anything — else.

Second, say you're sorry for our struggle. Several months ago, a friend of mine wrote me the loveliest, simplest paragraph I didn't even know I so badly needed to hear:

"I am so very sorry. I'm most sorry that there's nothing I can say that will make this better for you. But please know you're in my thoughts and prayers and I am wishing you peace and good news. I'm always here to talk if you want to."

Hello Fruitful women of Zion! I posted earlier on how my 1st IVF attempt went, well i'm back on the thread to cheer someone up being someone in the boat as you cheesy The good news is i'm alive, healthy, have a supportive hubby and above all i have a faithful God! and the stale news is the cycle failed! Surprisingly, i'm naturally a cry-cry baby but i've felt very confident and determined in my spirit that this too shall pass and VICTORY shall be mine soon aint no devil seeing my tears!
@ anyone grieving about a failed cycle, pls dont despair, as the Lord liveth you shall carry your children! When it is toughest is when the victory is about to manifest, remember the story of Narman the lepper who was asked to dip himself in river and his healing happened at the 7th attempt! I'm sure if he gave up at the 6th attempt prolly his healing would'nt have come...
We are more than conquerors and we have also overcome by the blood of the lamb!

There are so many reasons to smile ladies, dont ive up as your miracle is on the way! Watch this space as VERY SOON i shall come back to testify of the goodness of God! Right now, i wanna give my body a break as it seems my whole life is revolving around TTC! Aint gonna let it hold me down again, I have decided to commune with my creator who's got the manual to fix whatever needs fixing in my body1 If he could make the dead womb of Mama- Sarah to conceive ,how much less mine wink
Love y'all...

@ Poster
I would like to start by encouraging you to desist from calling or thinking that you are a frustrated soul! You become what you proffesy about yourself eventually! From today, start telling yourself YOU ARE GOOD and EMPLOYABLE only that the job(right job) has not materialised. Most of us have been in this situation one time in our life or the other. This is not heresay... Philip Oduoza the current UBA MD had a 1st Class Degree from UNN and job hunted for many years. My cousin housed him for many years both in Lag and FCT as they were classmates/friends in and from the same village too. Alas, he threw him out being humans, rshps go awry....Fast forward today, his story has changed! Then my cousin, though trying but way far below Oduoza's league!
From my observation, you have very good diction and seem to have this go-getter spirit which are pre-requisites for surviving in corporate Nigeria of today. You might send your cv to chinedu.pavina@gmail.com ! I'm not promising you a job, but would ensure your cv is submitted in places you can get a fair opportunity for job test+interview purely on merit!
All the best and keep pushing on...

HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by subzidi: 8:11am On Nov 22, 2012
Pink22: This is my uss report
uterus is normal in size and interverted, Indometrial lining is slightly distorted by a solitary submucous fibroid nodule measuring 2.9cm x 2.5cm. No area of tissue degeneration .
Both ovaries are normal in size andstromal echotexture . No cyst.
@ Pink22: Your fibroid is quite small but that does not mean it should be ignored. I learnt there is a natural way to shrink it and improve your general fertility well being. ie By taking Apple Cidar Vinegar(2 table spoon mixed with half glass of water 2ice daily). You can google it and read up testimonies on it. Also learnt it works best when mixed with Black molases all these info are found on the web. I think someone has advertised that on NL before cos i got one for my sis who has fibroid & ovarian cyst.
Also, watch what you eat, cut off milk completely if possible and chocolates, white flour. Food reach in fibre, fruits and vegetable is what you need to be eating.
It is well sis! You are not alone, trust me there are people who have had worse issues than you and today they are joyful mothers of children!
Stay blessed...
FamilyRe: ..... by subzidi: 4:02pm On Nov 12, 2012
@ Post
This reminds me of when i ran to NL to post my complaint during the early part of my marriage! My dear, i totally agree with almost everything Debrief posted!I really may not add much you just copy and paste. I guess your hubby didnt want you to leave the house and continue with the drama!
Also, try as much as possible and learn to resolve issues within yourselves before running to family/friends! I know you would be feeling really hurt now and prolly he has not even apologised cheesy Men have this childish ego that even when they know they are wrong they would still somehow want to show their muscle...
In fact if you are beefing him or not talking ,please try to cheer up and possibly carry on like normal then find the right time to discuss the issue and the best approach for conflict resolution in your marriage!
Marriage is tolerance, mutual respect and love. Please do not read so much meaning into what happened since it is a one off! You can look for my post and read for yourself what my own scenario was like too..
May God grant you wisdom you need at this time...hugs

FamilyRe: Ikoyi Marriage Registry: Info Needed! by subzidi: 12:05pm On Sep 21, 2012
@ OYINBOGOJU: They charged soooo much unless you are not Nigerian or one of you not wink We didnt pay more than N10,000 for ours and this was just last year!

OYINBOGOJU: Regular registration at least 2 weeks interval 35000naira

If you want your wedding to be done in 2 days after registration 55000naira

The requirements are not special

They don't allow customer to take out form, so be ready to get it, fill it and submit it same day in the same office.

The staff will request for some kind of gift, monetary or good wines of different taste, sometimes extra cash during your interview time,if not they will delay you.

Yeah just little i could remember now.

Be-careful of those guys taking pictures, they are selfish and rogue, better you go there with your photographer,if not they will delete all picture taken during wedding if you don't pay them very fast.

What More?
FamilyRe: Ikoyi Marriage Registry: Info Needed! by subzidi: 12:02pm On Sep 21, 2012
@ Post: You dont need to break the bank for it! You go to the registry and fill the formswith 2 passports of couple, then pay N1k. After filling the forms in court then you submit them same day and wait for 21 working days(display of couple info in notice-board). They would calculate the waiting period and then give you your prefered date to come for oath taking. Oath taking is N6k. Then after that you would then choose your wedding date weekdays cheaper than saturdays which is N2k(weekday)/N5k(weekend ie saturday).
On the wedding day you would be asked to either bring a carton of fruitjuice or pay N4k/N5K as the case might be! Try to sweet mouth them and dont show off too much if you don wana be ripped off grin. Also, make sure you bring change on wedding day for offering/celebration for court officials N100/N200 notes will do. DO NOT patronize the photographers they charge so much bring your small camera and a friend can assist with the pics as they do not allow professional photographers/video men. No point for all these flambouyance if you will still do a white wedding. Flower/bouquest and pin ups will be brandished for you to rent at exhorbitant rates(irrelevant too).
The above are the basics i can remember! However, if you dont wana wait for 21 working days (notification) then they will charge you for shortcut max-max N15K!! Ask of Oga Mike his office is inside after their small chapel looking-oath taking space! I cant put his phone number here... goodluck
