Thank you @Oak

Flexi-Appointment is 42,000 but you are still require to book appointment for a particular day. The walk in means you can walk in anytime between 8am- 4pm on that day you picked.

Happy Sunday...Please, at the moment, how much is "walk-in"? I mean walk-in at a VAC without prior appointment. I guess that is same as Flexi-Appointment?

But the person sending the invitation still needs to provide SOA even though only feeding will be provided for, uh?
Darvick:
People mix up this, there’s difference between invite and sponsor. Invite could be offering accommodation and feeding only and sponsor means he’s paying for everything including flight.

A young adult having someone to sponsor him or her is a disadvantage to your application merit except a parent or very old person , means you are not financially ok to support yourself for a trip/hol. Don’t get me wrong people get sponsored but ECOs are very strict now, Anyways good luck

Thank you. So, what does the applicant take along to the VAC?
Success2011:
That means the applicant no longer submit any document at TLS in Nigeria here? Or how exactly does the system work now?

System is now changed.... No more hard copies, sponsor sends it to a newly founded scan centre......

This also applies to the question I've been wanting to ask. If a husband is the SOLE sponsor of a wife's trip, should the wife submit her bank statement after submitting employment letter, Payslips and pension statements?

Please house, hope the required statement of account is still printout for the last 3 months for a tourist visa?

Happy New Year House. I've been following this great thread silently. Please, I do have a concern and I need very experienced members to help me out.

My situation: I was given a ONE YEAR ban some time ago at Heathrow Airport. SOLE REASON: DECEPTION... Truly, there were fake stamps in my international passport. My visa was canceled and returned to Nigeria. Now, the ban has EXPIRED.

NOW, what are my chances of securing an Irish Tourist Visa? All documents are legitimately intact. Thank you in advance!
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Success2011: 9:20am On Dec 17, 2019
There was a consistent salary deposit of 270k in the period covered by the acc statement. Surely, the money came from salary deposits. From the letter, the ECO acknowledged employment documents.
dilodavid:
Those people want details. Where did the money come from. They refuse for the slightest of reasons. Did you explain where the money came from. Is there a credit of that amount in your account?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Success2011: 9:06am On Dec 17, 2019
Ha! The difference is 11k. (Eleven thousand NAIRA) NOT ONE HUNDRED AND ELEVEN THOUSAND O.
dilodavid:
Values aren't the same. What's stated in the refusal letter is 1,910,239.39NGN which is different from what you claim was on the statement presented.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Success2011: 8:49am On Dec 17, 2019
It's as stated. Please take a cursory look again. I think the ECO erred!!
dilodavid:
For real? But it's different from what was stated in the refusal letter.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Success2011: 8:28am On Dec 17, 2019
Good! And that's exactly the closing balance!!
dilodavid:
Let me explain how I arrived at what was supposed to be your closing balance: 270,000 - 40,000 = 230,000. That's monthly net salary minus living expenses equals monthly disposable income. Monthly disposable income is the money left in your account after monthly expenses had been deducted from your monthly salary. The opening balance on the account statement presented was 541,593.39NGN which was fair enough. Salary was paid in for 6 months which means you had disposable income for 6 months. Which is 230,000 x 6 = 1,380,000NGN. Then adding that value to the opening balance will give us: 1,380,000 + 541,593.39 = 1,921,593.40NGN which was supposed to be the closing balance from the information provided.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Success2011: 7:58am On Dec 17, 2019
The living expenses is as stated. No other money entered the account except salary deposits. As we speak, the said Acc Statement is in my hand!
dilodavid:
Going by the information you have provided, the closing balance on the statement you provided was not balanced. The account balance was supposed to be 1,921,593.40NGN if and only if no other money was paid into your account during the account building period. It clearly shows your living expenses wasn't as stated in the application. In my opinion, you can reapply and address it.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Success2011: 7:38am On Dec 17, 2019
541,593.39NGN was the opening balance. Salary deposits reflected 6 times in the printed account statement.
dilodavid:
The net salary and disposable income have been noted. You will have to also state the number of times net salary was paid into the account before the account statement was printed. Providing such information will enable me address the reasons for refusal to the best of my knowledge for a positive reapplication outcome. Furthermore, was 541,593.39NGN the opening balance on the account statement?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Success2011: 1:58am On Dec 17, 2019
Sorry, net income is 270k
Living expenses is 40k
Disposable income is 230k.
NIGHTLIFE100:
Do you know disposable income means the money left after monthly expenses? Monthly expenses- net income = disposable income. If you’re right then it’s not reasonable to go for vacation in the UK
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Success2011: 10:03pm On Dec 16, 2019
Net income is 270k. Disposal income is 40k!Thanks
dilodavid:
First of all, what's his salary and monthly disposable income? Kindly share if you have an idea because it will go a long way in helping to buttress on the reasons for refusal.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Success2011: 6:43pm On Dec 16, 2019
My friend collected his passport today. Unfortunately, he was denied. He wishes to apply immediately. Below is the refusal letter. Please, Gurus in the house, kindly advise on what he has to do to tackle this. Thank you.

The letter counts. If any family member in Nigeria don't write the consent/no objection letter, that column in the Checklist won't be ticked (✅). As for the letter been forged, me nor fit talk for that one o!

Thanks Success2011.
Will the letter count? As anyone can form letter writing.

Hi all,
Greetings to moderators, gurus, posters and silent readers.
It has been a while and I am still reading up, but I have a question that may/not have been answered in the past.
The last item in the document checklist for standard visitor visa is "Additional Information. Evidence of family members remaining in your home country whilst you travel"
The question is bursting my brain. If marriage certificate or birth certificate, these do not prove that the family member is remaining in home country. In fact, I am wondering what evidence this is "POE stamp of the person entering Nigeria?" That does not prove that the person has not left immediately afterwards.
Do they want a webcam link of the family members in their house, or a gps tracking to localize them family members?

Anyway, up to the gurus and contributors....
Let me go and continue reading.

Another quick question. If you choose self-care for uploading/submission: do the documents need to be scanned to JPG, or will PDF format suffice?

Thanks.
Letter(s) of consent/No objection from family members in Nigeria. PDF format

Thank you. I booked the appointment 14 days ago. It was free appointment

You can track the progress of the application by logging in to your profile. You will see "track" where you have your appointment details, in the same area from where you navigated to book your appointment. Please did you pay to get appointment?

Thank you so much. It ended successfully. God bless
Candybright:
I believe the total sum of what you will pay will be shown before you proceed to confirm your appointment. I think you should pick time from 9:30. Don't pick 9am and 12pm as that's for super priority. If you do, when you get there, you MUST pay 42k or go back and reschedule another free date.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Success2011:
Please it's really urgent. Someone online should kindly respond asap.

Good evening. My acquaintance is applying for a UK Visa. We just made visa payment and we are in the TLS portal to select appointment date(Assisted Service). We have seen a date, a message popped up: You are selecting an ASSISTED SERVICE date for 8am with charges, if we click yes, hope the said charges is just the initial 10k TLS assisted service fee selected?
