@jesusbaby1 why now? Apart from the drugs you receive at antenatal, you receive lectures on what to expect in the course of your pregnancy which is very beneficial especially if you are a ftm.
You are supposed to receive anti-malarial drugs (you are supposed to have completed the dose sef) to protect you and your baby. Malaria in pregnancy can lead to death.
TT injections (tetanus) is given to a woman of child bearing age. You are to receive 5injections. Although I am not sure if there is a time limit to when you can start, but you are meant to receive the first 2 in your pregnancy and the subsequent ones some months after delivery. I.e TT1, TT2 4weeks after TT1, TT3 6months after TT2 etc.

But what can happen if a diaper goes beyond its best before date? Any idea? I understand that for wipes, they might lose moisture, abi?

For diapers, id suggest not to buy plenty ooo..cos diapers is the most received gift after child birth.. My sister's supply lasted one year! Dem no dey expire, but you would need to know your baby's weight to know what size to buy.
Modified: diapers and wipes have best before dates.

Good news for mamas that cannot swallow their routine prenatal drugs!!!! Pregnacare apparently comes in a liquid form too. Just saw it today at my neighborhood pharmacy.

I just came from Alpha. Letrozole is 2k per satchet of 14tabs.

But femara a more expensive brand is 9800 for a satchet.

You can do the sugar test in a lab if your hospital won't do it that's what I did and I didn't have to pay a dime for any other test Der.

Britneystacy I don't want to believe Godmother hasn't taken any drugs till now. I think she's just referring to all them pregnacare and tinz. After all, the doctor prescribed folic acid for one month in the early pregnancy (im not sure why he only prescribed for one month tho, maybe you were meant to see him after a month for more supplies)... Godmother I hope you at least took the folic acid that was given you then?

We've been singing the 'make sure you take your prenatals song' on here since but people just no wan listen. I don't know which one is worse, your hatred for drugs or watching your new born baby suffer as you run from one hospital to the other.
May this not be our portion by God's grace.

Yes they do especially if any of your family member have diabetes, they may send you for a more detailed test. (that one of drinking glucose and waiting for hours). I did it with my second Abi 3rd pregnancy but did the blood own with my last belle.

Ok, cool. Thanks. No one is diabetic in my family although my sis developed gestational diabetes with her last kid. Id talk to my doc about it this week at my ANC.

Sugah, at my ANC, the very first time you register, they do a comprehensive blood work and then during subsequent appointments, the uriine is analysed for protein and sugar using a simple test strip. If up to 2+ is found in any, then blood test for such is carried out.

Ok I get... So the urine/protein test equates to glucose tolerance test?
I just read about it on my oyinbo pregnancy tracker and the process involves drinking something sugary and waiting for one hour before they draw your blood sample to check how your body processes sugar.

Ruzu bitters can be used for so many reasons.To treat staph,detox,yeast infectn,etc.I basically used mine to detoxify my system.The leaflet says it all.if you are not treating any of these,just use it to cleanse your system.I will advice you get drugs because you need them,not because others are getting them.

Biko experienced moms and moms that are in 3rd trimester, does our naija hospitals carry out routine glucose tolerance test? Used to check for gestational diabetes in mums.

let me confess oh, I haven't been taking my routine drugs and I'm 30 weeks already. Tho' I have treated malaria 3 times and taken my TT injection. The number of folic acid and fesolate I've taken since day 1 isn't up to 20. I hope it doesn't have effect on my baby.....

I hope so too. I hope that you have at least gotten all the necessary vitamins from your daily meals.

Fellow September mamas, if you can please do start shopping oooo. Divide the list into priority and shop for items small small now we are still in the fun 2nd trimester stage. Cos all these 3rd trimester wahala might not be nice to now add stress of walking around the market looking for baby items.

At 18weeks she's supposed to have started her tetanus injections and anti-malarial drugs.
I hope she has been taking her drugs, spinal bifida is real.
