Wonderful mamas,abeg come weigh this matter for me o. My period came on d 5th of dis month which was meant to be my cycle day 37. Normally my period takes 4 days. The first and second day are quite heavy, a little less on d third day and spotting on d fourth day but with this one,the first day isn't heavy,second day very light and today the third day i can barely see anything.

Do a blood pregnancy test first and scan before taking any ovulation induction drugs.

Phew!!!! The amount of mangoes I've eaten since it came out is mind blowing. Even though I know its fattening oo (God help me), but knowing its safe in pregnancy is a relief.... At least from 2nd trimester

Abeg how is accommodation there for someone that has no one to stay with? How easy is it to get a short stay apartment and price range?

Famfortune please do not leave your dh at this time. I know its hard but even if its garri you guys can drink, buy the coldest pure water and enjoy it with him. This would only last for a short while and your being around and supportive of him would give him the motivation to hustle more.

If possible, ask if your family can give you a monthly stipend to supplement your dh's income.

For baby things, maybe mamas here that have hung their boots can donate some items to you if possible.

Yea, the lab is echo-scan in Ikeja...but I did not use them for HSG, I don't even know if they do it sef.

Kai! I like your shopping strategy ooo. I was just telling myself this morning say my Ayomide might have to tie wrapper for the first few weeks of birth.

I went window shopping once and the prices I saw gave me a serious migraine! cry

Haleematm they usually say to go with your first scan EDD. But you know it's just an estimate, baby can come +/-2weeks from the EDD.

Abeg no change your mind oh! I think @ Sugah recommended Prism Lab in Ikeja as a good and an inexpensive Lab but I don't know if they do HSG. Am sure she'll chip in once she's online.

@delor i did 3hsgs. 2 at my hospital that were just slightly uncomfortable... And 1 at union diagnostics VI that was very painful.
Sorry I don't have any recommendations for HSG.

Fvine I think prisms is in surulere, i remember going there for a scan in 2011.

I don't know. But I got this off the internet. You can read up more on the internet or ask your doctor about it.

According to Beyond Fertility, spotting before a period can be due to “implantation, from a cyst or a short luteal phase and impaired egg quality… Spotting before your menstruation is common but not ideal. A period ideally should freely flow once started… One common cause of spotting several days before the menstrual cycle is due is low progesterone. It is the hormone progesterone that helps to maintain the uterine lining for pregnancy. When pregnancy occurs the progesterone should keep the lining in place and fluffed up to hold on and nest the new life. In a cycle without the occurrence of pregnancy, progesterone begins to diminish and and when the progesterone level drops the lining is no longer held in place and the menstrual cycle occurs. In women who are deficient in progesterone, they will see spotting several days to a week before their cycle is due. This can also cause minor infertility and early miscarriage. Both are symptoms of low progesterone.”

Between 4,800 and 5,500 for 200mg. Not sure of the new price with this dollars ish

Modified: just called my pharmacy (Alpha in ikeja, they are the sole distributors of cyclogest) and they said its 6,500 for 400mg, they don't have the 200mg atm.

Sanrima other mamas have answered you. I did not really have a monthly cycle prior to my surgery as I had non-stop bleeding for 6months that had to be stopped using drugs. So my monthly cycle resumed 2months after myomectomy.

Iv heard good things about the halogen oven but I don't own one, so no first hand experience.

The air fryer is great although iv only used it for 20% of its uses..

I have one, I hardly use it cos it consumes lots of oil. I prefer frying with less oil.

Then you should invest in air fryers..uses no oil and a lot healthier

Hmm.. still not clear enough. Something is fishy. Coz mine are totally raw and white. I think homemade beats anything frozen.

Homemade definitely beats frozen!!!!
But they had the totally raw ones and the pre-fried at the store, I went for the pre-fried cos it had a smaller pack.

Although the instructions says to either deep fry for 3-5mins or heat in the oven for 15-20mins(which from the stuff you posted means it's raw bah?), my air fryer's instruction is to fry for 10-12mins...any longer and it turns black-brown

Its quite frozen hence the whitish color.
Yes i fry again but I use an air fryer set at 200°c for 10mins and it comes out golden brown.

They aren't pre-fried.
Store bought Fries are raw pre-cut potatoes , coated with vegetable shortening. That's why they freeze well. You can't freeze & fry without it turn soggy when defrosted/reheated.

This is why I made the comment.... It clearly says it's prefried but who knows huh

They probably just do what you described.

Dodo yes,preferably portioned in small freezer bags , so you don't have to thaw the whole lot everytime you want some.

Potatoes not sure. (It'll be soggy I think but may be wrong though)

Some bags of fries sold at grocery shops come pre-fried....but I don't know if they put preservatives in them.
