Uriel12:People saw June and July regular dates for Lagos today, so I'd advise you to join date search groups if you haven't yet. 2 Likes |

microlincoln:None of them. Take your passport, signed I-20, DS-160 confirmation page, SEVIS fee payment confirmation, visa fee receipt, passport photographs in the right size, bank statement (if applicable), scholarship/funding letter (if applicable), admission letter etc. I think these are the most important ones. At your discretion, you can go with transcript, test scores, certificates and other documents you deem necessary. 2 Likes |

brymorla:Yes, you can have your interview in Abuja and put Lagos as the document delivery place. I had my interview on Thursday (2nd June) in Abuja and my passport was ready for pickup in Lagos on Monday (6th June). 1 Like 1 Share |

Dammyvikky:I did something similar. I know most times it takes a while to get a response on the Canada study permit application, so I completed it first and then applied for a US visa after. My US study visa has already been approved but the Canada study permit application is still being processed at the moment. |

joliva:What do you want to do exactly? Do you want to change something on your DS-160? You can't change anything on an already submitted DS-160 but you can retrieve most of the information in it and have it exported to a new DS-160 (Just click retrieve an application instead of start an application). Then you can correct whatever you want on the new one before submitting. Just make sure you update your CGI portal with the confirmation number of your preferred DS-160 before your interview. |

Neyopumpy:1. Yes, you can reschedule your visa appointment to an earlier date (Don't reschedule till you get a preferred date because there's a limit to the number of times you can reschedule with one visa fee.) You just need to keep checking till you get an earlier date. It's good that you want to join a date search group, that way you wouldn't have to check more than the allowed number of times per day. If you still don't get an earlier appointment, then you can request for an emergency appointment when it is 60 days to your program start date. 2. SEVIS fee payment doesn't affect seeking for regular appointments in any way, you just have to make sure you pay the SEVIS fee some days to your interview at most. However, if you end up needing the emergency appointment, then you'd need to pay the SEVIS fee before you request for it. 3. You can't pay using your local bank account. You can get someone in the US to help you pay, use platforms like Vesti/Pay4Me or use known people here on Nairaland (Walspring and a few others) 4. It is not, but it's valid for a year. This is to the best of my knowledge. You can wait for others to weigh in too. 3 Likes |

F1 Interview Transcript First Attempt (Approved) Abuja June 2 2022 Teaching Assistantship with deficit of 5,800. VO: Have you ever travelled out of Nigeria? Me: I've not had a reason to. VO: You're going to the University of Oklahoma for a Master's in Exercise Physiology and Kinesiology (That's what is on my I-20) Me: I'm going for a Master's in Health Promotion specifically, under Health and Exercise Sciences. (I filled Health Promotion in my DS-160) VO: Alright. What do you do in Nigeria at the moment? Me: I'm presently a Research Assistant to two faculty members at the undergraduate institution I graduated from and I'm involved in activities including manuscript writing, literature reviews, data collection, data analysis and data entry. I also have one paper already published and two under review. VO: What will you be doing after your Master's? Me: Upon my return back to the country, I'd be picking up a Lecturing position in the University where I am presently a research assistant. The teaching assistantship I'd be holding during this program also provides the required training for it. VO: Do you have/know anyone in the United States? Me: No VO: Everything looks good, I'd be approving your visa. Me: Thank you very much. VO: This paper will show you how to pick up your passport... I really appreciate UmmZayd for always taking the time to answer all my questions. God bless you. I couldn't sleep yesterday due to the tension but I'm glad it has all ended well. I'd try to be updating if I remember anything else. I wish everyone the best of luck! 27 Likes 4 Shares |

Good morning house. Please does anyone know how I can get this sorted out? I had to sign out after I got to the point of payment and now there's no button to continue the application and proceed to the payment point. It's the new portal. Kindly help. Thank you very much.

Good afternoon guys. Please I have a question. Can I submit study visa applications for USA and Canada weeks apart from each other? Like submitting the Canada study permit application first and then that of USA some weeks later. Please I need answers to this. Thank you very much. |

Good evening house, please can I use mybankStatement for my visa application if the account does not have up to 12 months banking history, or I should just stick to the regular 4-6 months bank statement? P.S. The account belongs to my second sponsor. The first account has over 12 months banking history and I plan on using mybankStatement for it too. Thank you very much. 2 Likes |
