USMAN ABUBAKAR WROTE: WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT SAMBO DASUKI, Nigeria's National Security Adviser: In August 1985, at a time when Nigerians were celebrating the Muslim festival and enjoying the public holiday, a soldier named Badamasi Babangida was executing his plans of overthrowing the Nigerian Head of State, Major- General Muhammadu Buhari. One of the soldiers who arrested Buhari at gunpoint was a soldier named SAMBO DASUKI. After Buhari was arrested and his government toppled, IBB threw him into prison and handsomely rewarded Dasuki by making him his ADC (aide-de-camp)... Let me skip what happened to Sambo Dasuki and his father the former Sultan of Sokoto under General Abacha to today. He has been appointed as the National Security Adviser to President Jonathan and you really think Sambo Dasuki will want the elections to go on and Buhari become the President of Nigeria? Think again, what is going on has nothing to do with PVCs or bla bla bla. It is all about the interests of a few people strangling the country. I think all Nigerians should remain calm and read more and see how the game is played with the destinies of the almost 200 million of us. Things are not always what they seem to be. |
OUTH MILWAUKEE WI. (GVE)- There are wild speculations that officers of the Nigerian Military are scared of Maj-General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) becoming Nigeria’s next president because of his strict disciplinary record. “Some of the military personnel who are clamouring for the postponement are scared that they will all be flushed out if Buhari wins the election,” our source revealed. “I foresee a coup happening before that date. They have moved soldiers to part of Lagos state already and they claimed not to be ready?” the source queried further. Meanwhile, many Nigerians in diaspora have started voicing their displeasure over the purported postponement of next week’s general elections by INEC with the excuse of insecurity in the country. Some of the Nigerians who spoke with our Milwaukee, US correspondent from the United Kingdom, about President Goodluck Jonathan’s push for a postponement of the election by INEC, disclosed that the excuse was bogus and totally unacceptable. Dotun, one of the respondents, said: “so they determine the date of the elections now! Only in Nigeria do we have people being paid by the tax payers dictating when they want to work and the convenient time for them to work. “That is total crap!” source: http://globalvillageextra.com/election-why-the-military-is-afraid-ofbuhari?utm_source=Election%3A+Why+Military+Is+Afraid+Of+Buhari&utm_campaign=taiye&utm_medium=email |

Obasanjo must and can never be blame for the present administration failure because 1. he believesd in education, that's why he installed educationally qualified personnel to power 2. he believed democracy which is why he supported candidates that were never in the military and handed power to them if you guys are fair enough, you won't deny the fact that you and I commended him for handling power to lectures as signs of good democracy |

The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) has assured that it would conduct a model election, advising the electorate to come to the voting centers with cameras to capture any ugly event that may unfold. The Resident Electoral Commissioner of Anambra State, Engineer Edwin Nwatarali who made the call yesterday at a stakeholders meeting organized by the commission, said the tapping of events will help forestall sharp practices by staff of the commission. Nwatarali made the call while reacting to a question by a stakeholder who insisted that INEC staff were fond of giving out unused ballot papers to some political parties who thumbprint them in favour of their party. “That is a grave allegation, and no one can come here and make such spurious allegation without proof. It is very wrong to stand up and make such claims without evidence, and I will not sit down next time and watch this happen. “Never the less, electorates are advised to come to the polling centers with their cameras, so that they will be able to capture any of such incidences that play out. That is the only time you can make such claims with evidence,” He said. The REC also advised people who do not have the permanent voters card not to bother coming close to the voting centres as there will be three layers of security all around every polling unit. Reacting to questions on why the commission can not stop the PDP from fielding multiple candidates in Anambra state, Nwatarali said it was not the duty of INEC to present candidates to the party, rather the parties are charged to present one. He further stated that INEC does not conduct elections for individuals, but for political parties, noting that it is the reason why only names of political parties are found on the ballot papers. He further said that INEC list on the names of candidates was clear, and that only those whose names were on the list are authentic candidates standing for elections, even though it is all subject to the decision of the court. source: http://m.dailytimes.com.ng/article/19279/inec-advises-electorates-to-bring-cameras-to-the-polls/#.VNXc9S6S-mX |
SOUTH MILWAUKEE WI. (GVE)- The Department of State Service, DSS has reportedly released former governor of Bayelsa state, Timpriye Sylva, after initially detaining him earlier in the day. Silva, an All Progressives Congress, APC Chieftain, was asked to come around for questioning by the DSS, only to be detained on allegations that he was going to disrupt the presidential campaign rally of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the state today. The ex-governor, whom President Goodluck Jonathan seems to be waging war against in a bid to gain followership from his own state, is said to be a strong pillar of the APC and his arrest was said to have come as a rude shock to people who were aware of the arrest. Sources close to Global Village Extra disclosed that, “I have just spoken with Doifie Ola, his media aide. He has been released and is on his way home. “He was said to have been arrested over suspicions that he was planning to disrupt GEJ’s rally in Yenogoa today. Doifie said he was invited for questioning only for him to be arrested and detained by the DSS”. Authoritative sources in the state also told this news medium that the PDP perceives Sylva as a threat to Jonathan winning Bayelsa. “For Jonathan to win the state, they have been strategising to put Sylva in check and prevent him from moving around because he enjoys a massive followership, he’s like a cult figure here in Bayelsa,” the source added. source: globalvillageextra.com/dss-release-bayelsa-ex-gov-sylva/?utm_source=DSS+Release+Bayelsa+Ex-Gov%2C+Sylva&utm_campaign=taiye&utm_medium=email |
