kings09:Hmmm.... If only you knew the atrocities Christianity has fomented in the past- especially the catholic church- then you won't make this statement. Kindly Google "crusades" and you'd know more |
greenpasture:First you need an airtel sim, secondly if you wan to visit other sites outside those hosted on freebasic your data WILL suffer loss.... Now how is that free? |
greenpasture:well, in other words they need the rural people (that is if there are still some who havent used 2go yet ) to use it in order to beef up their statistical data which they'd need to sell to shareholders and intending investors. I think Zuckerburg has not really learnt his lesson from the failed India mission but is trying to play smart here investment-wise ... problem here is that we are nigerians and once we get to know the truth which is that freebasics is not free we go just walk away and not make a fuss like those indians did, in other words we won't tell Zuckerb we no dey do again he'd just see statistic going down without reason!!! ![]() |
greenpasture:but according to what i heard, to access websites not listed in there it'll require you buy data... unless they are trying to win people over initially sha. not interested in the freebasics thing anyway |
Internet.org is a scam, it got rejected in india because it was built on favouritism alone and not the real issue of bringing internet to every home. India rejected it because the builders, facebook, excluded several sites from the platform and leaving only a few websites that favours them including facebook.com as we would expect. The other upshoot of this colonial idea is free basics and it is not free at all. However, my curiosity with the people at facebook is what they hope to achieve in Nigeria given the fact that most Nigerians can use and afford the internet, even if just to subscribe to gain access to their whatsapp and facebook... time will tell though, i am highly interested in this partnership because it could make or break jobberman (they are a household name already anyways), airtel could lose money in these austere times if all doesn't go well, while facebook would lose more ground in trying to act the 'big brother' role to so-called 'poor countries'. I think they should have been told already that we are no slow-poke though, fingers crossed. |

VISTIN:That's where their problem lies... It took the naira's direct association with the yuan for the US to release such damning report... A way to "warn" nigeria about the impending victimization if we continue to defy the west. #mythinking |
The truth is microbiologists are being sidelined because we are not a recognised professional body, just an association (Nigerian Society of Microbiology). The former president Late Prof. Akpan died trying to achieve this goal but the dream died with him, nobody is fighting for it again (i think, and if they are its without zeal). The SLTs (Science Laboratory Technologists) have been professionalised and they operate with license but Microbiologists dont. Bro, apply you don't need a licence, ur ability in interview is your only hope. God will favor you in Jesus name |
AdeniyiA:Anybody that can quote long topics can kill sombody, i tell you! They are evils |
heavenisreal18:Bros/sis, dad is tellin u to open ur eyes to the reality of what's goin on around you. He cant be there no more to bail u out or tell u wat to do again, you have to be the man he wants you to be, be wise, be aware of everytin as much as possible |
eyinjuege:#gbam. And to think i got some info from d departmental postgraduate seminar presentation students, i shudder. Now i will ask more questions when any student wants to bamboozle me with misleading informations because me sef i be student but dont like asking questions not to cause any of dem being stepped down to repeat their presentations... we all need to do more, both the informant and the listener. Selah! |
eyinjuege:Hehehehe, me i no dey there oo. I hate hospital things like kilode, so abeg no rope me ooo, i have been schooled here today and i appreciate the education. E seun |
eyinjuege:@both, its one thing to be ignorant and its another to be willing to learn, its another to bee wiling to submit oneself to correction and learn d real thing. I think i just described myself on dis topic... ...and i know the correct info now. Me too i wee be using obinoscopy to fumblee on the streets Thanks to the docs in d house #thumbsup |
