Killing Osama bin Laden is a pretty big deal. You’d think that it would be in the interests of US forces to take a snapshot of the elusive terror leader to milk the propaganda value of such a momentous turn of events, and yet the corporate media has given us nothing but a years old fake picture. This makes little sense, unless of course, somebody is trying to hide something, namely the fact that Osama’s dead corpse has been on ice for the best part of a decade.

According to some reports, Bin Laden’s body has already been hastily “buried at sea,” meaning that the comic book story of his dramatic killing is based solely on the less than credible word of the U.S. government.

Of course, it’s probable that we’ll be treated to seeing all the gory details in due course once Osama’s corpse has been properly thawed and suitably presented for public consumption.

But the fake photo, which is still being used by the likes of the Daily Mail and the London Telegraph even after it was proven to be a contrived hoax that has been circulating on the Internet for years, fits perfectly with everything surrounding the Bin Laden myth – the fake video tapes, the fake audio tapes, the fake claim of responsibility for 9/11.

Everything about the Bin Laden myth that has been rapaciously whipped up by the establishment over the last 10 years has been fake, so why worry about putting out a fake photo and claiming it represents the freshly dead remains of the world’s most wanted?

We don’t need MSNC to tell us, “We think that bin Laden ‘death photo’ is a fake,” because we know it’s a fake. It’s been knocking around on the web since before Obama even took office. Here it is featured in a story released over a year ago. As Stokes Young illustrates, the bloodied face of Bin Laden is an obviously contrived composite image created from an image of Osama that dates back over 10 years.

But that didn’t stop TV news stations across the Middle East, as well as major newspapers in Britain like the Daily Mail and the London Telegraph, amongst a host of others, from passing the fraud off as evidence of Bin Laden’s death.

Despite the fact that Bin Laden’s corpse has almost undoubtedly been safely stored in a highly secure U.S. government morgue since at least 2002, the political grist to be enjoyed by an administration that has plummeted to the depths of unpopularity knows no bounds, which is why Obama victoriously proclaimed Osama’s “death ” during a speech last night almost as if the president himself had pulled the trigger.

The birther controversy and NATO’s indiscriminate murder of children in their pursuit of Colonel Gaddafi will now be swept under the rug and Obama can build his campaign for 2012 on the lie that he was the president who finally brought the evil boogeyman to justice.

Never mind the fact that numerous public officials went on the record to plainly state that Bin Laden has been dead for years and that the announcement of his demise was being kept back until the most politically expedient time.

As Kurt Nimmo and Alex Jones document, from FBI counterterrorism official Dale Watson, to former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, to Pakistani icon Benazir Bhutto, to CFR members, to Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, all voiced publicly what the evidence clearly indicated, which is that Bin Laden died in late 2001.

The fact that a deluge of provably fake video and audio tapes were released by an organization with direct ties to the Pentagon in the years that followed illustrated how the military-industrial complex was keen to prolong the Bin Laden boogeyman myth as a backdrop against which to launch their takeover of the middle east under the umbrella of the “war on terror”.

But don’t think for a minute that final “confirmation” of Osama’s death will mean an end to the “war on terror” and U.S. troops pulling out of Afghanistan, just as the capture of Saddam Hussein did absolutely nothing to speed a U.S. exit out of Iraq.

If anything, the announcement of Osama’s death will only lead to more warfare and bloodshed in the region. Whether genuine or contrived, terrorist retaliation plots are already in the works and when they are unleashed, the establishment will point to them as a justification for more air strikes, more invasions and more regime change plots disguised as humanitarian aid.

In life, Bin Laden’s propaganda value as an Emmanuel Goldstein hate figure was immense, but in death his usefulness to the US military-industrial complex will, for a time at least, only increase

I sit in the helipad awaiting a chopper to take me back to PH. Along comes one of the military personnel (Hausa) securing our facility, he also takes a sit and we start gisting, from Champions league to unrest all over the Arab nations, we kept chatting and analysing (I found him quite intelligent for a jar-head AKA soldier cheesy )suddenly the station is tuned to a local channel and the turmoil in Northern Nigeria comes on.

I noticed an uneasy calm and silence engulf us both, suddenly our eyes meet and he looked away. In that brief moment in which we gazed at each other I kept trying to decipher what was going on in his mind, shame and guilt for the cruelty meted out by his people towards the southerners? Defiance and lunatic views about being supreme and superior to the purported weaker southerners? I guess I'd never know for my flight arrived and I departed.

One thing kept crossing my mind however, why couldn't I bring my self to hate this northerner, it should be easy, no? I had afterall lost a cousin to one of their so-called jihad actions some years back and here they were killing more southerners serving their father's land. So why didn't an atom of hatred flow within me towards this manhuh

I rather found myself thinking of all the evenings I've spent playing footy with the military personnel (mostly hausas)and other colleagues. Let me also reiterate that I'm not the only one who feels this way. Colleagues of mine also rapport with this guys and we never even think of the evil and havoc being wrecked on our kinsmen by their peeps.

Rather everyone sees the other as a brother, no Yoruba/Ibo dichotomy, no North/South beef.

I find myself asking are we weaker for not being able to hate/kill their own kinsmen in Lagos, Abia, Rivers et-alhuh
He probably looked away because he didn't want you to see the joy in his eyes upon hearing southerners have been massacred. I'm sure he would rather you remain decieved into thinking you and him are one.

I'm sure in the North neighbours (who were also friendly) turned on neighbours because of differences in religion. Islam is a different doctrine that's not about peace and justice.

Bottom line is Southerners need to better understand their true enemy and the art of war. How many times now have they been caught out in the North?

There's nothing wrong with being freindly - but never mistake the friendliness as being real.

http://www.voanews.com/english/news/africa/Nigerian-Opposition-Party-Demands-Release-of-Election-Results-in-Imo-State--120971684.html

In Nigeria, tension was high in the southeastern state of Imo as the people awaited the outcome of the disputed governorship election.

Armed soldiers were patrolling the streets and guarding government facilities as members of the opposition planned demonstrations to demand the release of the election results.

The incumbent governor, Ikedi Ohakim, a member of the ruling PDP, was running behind, with the candidate for the opposition All Progressives Grade Alliance [APGA] in the lead.

Then the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] stopped announcing the results, saying elections were not held in four out of 27 counties or local governments.

APGA’s gubernatorial candidate, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, said he had satisfied the constitutional requirements to be declared the winner of the election.

“I am the winner of this election because from the results available from the 25 local governments where elections were conducted, I am topping my opponent with about 18,000 votes. But my opponent is of the view that there should be a re-run from the two local governments where elections did not take place.”

INEC met Friday to decide whether to hold polls in the disputed areas, said commission spokesman Kayode Idowu. He said officials were aware of the importance of the Imo State results for the credibility of the electoral process.

“The commission should declare the results it has,” said Okorocha.

He said INEC should not throw away the international and local support it received from the conduct of the other elections in the country.

“So far, INEC has done well and can be given credit for its work, but right now, Imo remains a test case because there seems to be a lot of undue influence that is halting the results from being announced,” he said, “as evidenced by the returning officers who had intended to declare the results but then got a text message and decided to suspend the results being released.”

INEC’s Idowu denied the charge. He said the commission will do what is right based on the laws and fairness.

But Okorocha said his supporters are running out of patience with the commission and called for an immediate release of the election results.

“It takes my good effort to ask my supporters to please calm down because it makes no point destroying or killing people. As a law abiding citizen, I have decided and communicated to them that they should remain calm, but the [tension] remains very high,” he said.

Soldiers have taken over the city of Owerri, the Imo State capital, 48 hours after the state governorship election was declared inconclusive.

This followed the tension generated by angry protesters who wanted the results of the election announced in the wake of widespread suspicion of manipulation.

The soldiers, who have taken over strategic positions in the state capital guarding government installations and parastatals, also had their camp beds with them, an indication that they were prepared to stay as long as was necessary in the state capital.

Beside the fact that the 34 Artillery Brigade is located in Owerri, additional troops were deployed from the Army 82 Division, Enugu.

Speaking to journalists, the assistant director, public affairs, 82 Division, Enugu, Musa Sagir, a Lieutenant Colonel, said that for reasons of security of life and property in the state it became necessary following recent development to take pre-emptive measures, to forestall any breakdown of law and order in the state.

According to Mr Sagir, the soldiers who arrived Owerri 5am Friday morning, were led by Ibrahim Agbab, a Brigadier General, and the Chief of Staff, 82 Division, and Bala Isandu, a Colonel, and Commander, Intelligent Unit, 82 Division, and are still being deployed to flashpoints in the state. He added that their presence should re-assure the citizenry and not cause panic.

Meanwhile, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has called for the outright cancellation of the governorship election in Imo State, citing numerous and widespread malpractices which rendered the results of the polls incomplete.

It rejected the outcome of results in Ehime Mbano, Isiala Mbano, Oguta, Ohaji Egbema, Ikeduru, Mbaitoli, Aboh Mbaise, Ezinihitte Mbaise, and Nwangele council areas.

The party called for a judicial panel of inquiry into the causes and activities of state officials, INEC officials, and security agencies in the looming constitutional crisis in the state

alj harem:
Before I start, i would want no insult on this thread

I have studied the political landscape of Nigeria and watch the current events taken place. In my finding, I notice that the igbos and northerners are in the best position as it is right now. The following are my thoughts

1.) Now that there is SS president and he won by the majority of the nddigbo votes, he is likely to compenstae them for there effort by buliding a sea port or a VALUABLE international airport. this in turn would reduce the tax system lagos collect from it's port and reduce the total income of the state and in general the SW because they all share this money as i was told.

2.) Even without a mandate, the SE has already gotten what they want (economic power from the west) now in 2015, it would be either SE or  NE president. either way they still benefit.

3.) Now that the SW is out of National politics of PDP, it is only normal for more positions to be avalible for the ndigbo given that GEJ gives his promise

4.) Lagos is the heart beat of the SW (yorubas/edos) if it falls they have to rush to the upcoming econmical power (port harcount). Now some might agure that port harcount is not an igbo town but in reality, it does not have to be an igbo town before they benefit from it due to the close proximity to SE

5.) most juice national contract will be given to igbos and SS because of GEJ

6.) GEJ has shown time and time again that he does not care about the north or SW. All he is doing is channeling his energy to SE and SS

PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS POINTS CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU REPLY

i would like to see the igbos views on this.
BE GONE - SATAN.

Your a bloody imposter - let this be the last time you open a thread like this - You Devil.

Your efforts to create animosity between the so called SE, SS, and SW will be exposed - You Devil.

You now even claim to have Igbo blood inside you. Well if so it is tainted - You Devil.

Nothing about you is Igbo - Devil

Whether you like it or not the whole of the South have a different ideology and view on life which is opposed to the Norths.

GEJ's task is to compensate the whole of the South  (SE/SS/SW) for the attrocities committed by the North.

You Devil.
