JOS, Nigeria, April 18 (Reuters) - Soldiers fired into the air in the central Nigerian city of Jos on Monday and military helicopters flew overhead to disperse youths protesting against the election victory of President Goodluck Jonathan.

A Reuters reporter said people were running away from protests in the Muslim neighbourhoods of the city. (Reporting by Shuaibu Mohammed; Writing by Nick Tattersall; Editing by Matthew Tostevin)

Northern Nigeria vs Southern Nigeria.

The country is split and has always been.
This clearly showed during this election.

A referendum on the break-up of this entity called Nigeria must now be considered.

In fact if the north are so unhappy then why cant they take the lead and ask for the country to be split in a civil manner.

The north should be allowed to govern themselves but not the rest of the country.

The mutual hatred between the two regions will never dissapear.

Orikinla:
Prof. Attahiru Jega is totally innocent of the outcome of the presidential election.                                                            My people must be jubilating in the village square. But I do not join in the celebration of sycophants and opportunists.                                                                  The corrupt ruling party has won again and I am not surprised, because the majority of the voters are corrupt and have voted for corruption, because they are afraid of CHANGE. They are addicted to cheating, lying, stealing and other evils they do daily. Imagine telling Nigerian students not to cheat? Imagine telling their corrupt parents not to  misappropriate public funds? Imagine telling dogs not to eat rotten meat? Behaviour change is tough for most people indulging in corrupt practices. The ruling People's Democratic Party is the mirror of Nigerians. They want to retain the status quo. They have even increased in population. If you can't beat them, join them. They want to continue their business as usual. So, leave them to their fate as dog eat dog in President Goodluck Jonathan's Nigeria. The Holy Bible said it all in John 3:19.
Firstly - Learn to use paragraphs and punctuation.

Secondly - Go to Hell with your incoherent rants.

If you have been disowned by your so called family (GEJ and Co) then shame on you.

But I can understand why - you come across as a snake.

Your mentally and morally corrupt.

Now 'F' off.

Heard today the west now want to widen their target list to also include the state tv station.

Seems they feel the sight of crowds cheering 'Gadaffi' does not fit into their propoganda strategy.

In fact everyday I hear them say that this so called resolution also includes items that were not specifically mentioned in the draft.
