u just spoilt a nice writeup, by bringing religion into it... whether u have christ or not, a marriage that will collapse, will certainly collapse... btw, Christ never had any relationship sexual in nature, just as the Bible affirms it. And I believe Apostle Paul shed more light on this issue about having & not having a partner.
. Truth is bitter to some thats y so many rich, famous, intelligent pple cant keep stable relationships. God is love & Love is God whether we like it or not

YES I DO but Over the years i have realized that LOVE is the most wrongly used word in the dictionary.

I have seen many people who professed love to each other just to make a 360 degree turn and then i tend to wonder if they ever understood that word love.

I have even heard of a situation where a man found it so easy to walk away from his wife and children after many years just to conclude that what he felt all through the years was probably pity and not love.

It has become the norm for us to now see a million dollar wedding crashing down even before it began and then these same people who were all smiles and curdled up on the wedding day, exchanging vows will turn against each other with so much hatred.

Husbands kill same woman they made a vow to love and wives do same to their hubbies even when they have borne the same man children.

How many husbands can still tell their wives "i love you" even if she denies him sex? how many husbands will still love their wives if she refuses to do her duties as a wife in the house? and how many women will still love their husbands even if he fails to live up to his status?

Judging from all these happenings i have decided to stop using that word love and any one who uses such word to describe his or her feelings for the partner must really take a chill pill and think deep before uttering such.

If from the real life situation i see, i think it will be reasonable for anyone to wait for at least 20years of being with your partner before you can truly say those words "I LOVE YOU" even if we all know that even after 30years people can still turn against each other but at least 20years is good enough to pass that assertion.

I have come to believe that LOVE can only exist between GOD and man and what humans feel is just a temporary feeling of desire which can be in form of initial gragra(Adrenaline love), infatuation(Unreasoning love),Lust or maybe a superficial love as a result of what you are getting from that person and in the absence of such will diminish.

Yes maybe i am over-flogging it,maybe we still have true love between very rare partners but the truth is that i would rather seek for a true friendship, a true bonding which i have found to be more realistic than that facade called True love.

*Just thinking*
. Love is not a facade. Love is the realest thin ever. The problem is peopl tend to forget the origin of the word "love'. People mistake love for sexual feelings, people mistake love for fondness or attraction. Thats y u see true stories where men murder their wives & vice versa. My dear u dont hav to wait 20yrs to knw u love somone. Anyone dat wants to wait 20yrs will probably live forever without loving & being loved. For you to be able to love u hav to hav love in your life & in your heart because u cant giv wat u dont hav. And how can u hav love in your heart? By seeking to have the originator & founder of love in you, and that is Christ, i know many ppl might not want to hear this but dats d truth whether we accept it or not. You can never love truely without Christ in your heart. Try & search & watch d movie 'fireproof' pls, u ll understnd where am comin from

SSpeter:
I know this might not be totally right but at least it will make me feel great. Egbon wants to get married in march and automatically I will become the best Man. But I don't want him to get married to her. It is not because of her but the dad.

It all started back in 1998 my dad was having a court case with our supposed in-law over our house. The house was sold to my dad by the late late brother of our supposed in-law. That was even before my dad got married. We have lived in that house for more than 10yrs. My siblings and I were born there. After the death of the brother in 1998 he dragged my dad to court saying his brother was only a benefactor and does not have the legal right to sell the building and their late father made him the executor of His properties according to the late father's will. My parents were partners in business and their office was located at the ground floor of the building where we lived. Their goods were also stored there (plumbing equipment).

Prior to joining the plumbing business, my dad was into commercial inter-state transport services after suffering heavy losses he auctioned what was left and joined my mum in the plumbing business. A year later he was in court with our supposed in-law. The legal battle started in December. Egbon travelled with an aunt of mine who had won a visa lottery the previous year. My sisters were older than the guys. they were already in boarding school. I was the king of the house. My dad suffered many embarrassment at the hands of our supposed in-law. He dragged the case for some years money meant for business ended up in legal battles. My dad had to borrow to pay suppliers. He couldn't not order for new materials anymore and the business eventually collapsed. Extended families gave their support until 2003 when a lagos high court handed our supposed in-law victory undecided

My dad wanted to appeal the judgement but his lawyer told him to get an apartment with whatever he has left. Although my parents thought they hid everything from us. Perhaps my sisters didn't notice because they were not always home but I saw my mum cry severally. I saw the fears in my dad eyes. I listened to their whispering at night I knew we were doomed. Our supposed In-law sold the house to a bank. The bank gave two weeks to evacuate. But before the notice expired they brought sledge hammer and started destroying the building with our properties in it. My dad tried to protest but he was beaten and arrested. For the first time I saw our "Supposed In-law" that day ordering the boys to destroy everything. My dad was later released days after. I went to live with my cousins. My sisters also went to live with my other cousins.

In 2006 I wrote a mail to Egbon I narrated all that happened to him and he vowed he was going to ensure that they payed for it dearly. Few years later, I got admission into the university my parents embraced christ; But I still feel bitter. How time flies, my sisters are both married and it's just me preparing for the life of a bachelor; Until recently my brother told me his plans of getting married, I noticed it because he has visited us more than usual last year and had extensive discussions with my parents. But whenever He came back He still promised my dad that he will never forget all that happened. My dad told him that was in the past but I know what my brother was capable of doing as regards family.

He brought his supposed girl friend (I believe that is all she will ever be) to the house last christmas everyone welcomed her but immediately I set my eyes on her, she looked like the man that was giving orders to tear down our house. I asked her for her surname, when she said ****US, I knew she was the daughter of our long time enemy. When they left, my mum and dad begged me that I shouldn't say anything. That they have forgiven him. She invited my parents and I during the new year but I declined. I have also told my brother I can't be his best man. He thought am joking cos it was via mail. My brother had assured me severally whenever I told him what became of us after then that incident and he told me "I will give up anything to deal with the Man that messed with my family". I guess I will have to tell him the whole truth. But my parents keep calling me every single day to beg. "Saying I should not bring him misery. That they were happy he decided to bring home a cool headed lady".....But I just can't let it go. Unless my brother and I will decide not to be brothers anymore because I will never go to his house if he marries her. I will never associate myself with him or anything that has to do with him.

I have finished typing the truth I want to send the mail to him...I don't know why I am hesitating (I guess my parents will forgive me sooner or later) but he has to know the truth!!!!....i can't dine with my enemy!.....I don't want to see her dad face again....never...I hope am doing the right thing....i think I am.....perhaps I am...
. I totally understand ur pains. Your brother has to know d truth b4 deciding whether to marry her or not. Hiding d truth will make matters even worse cos a broken relationship is better than a broken marriage. This is a typical example of..'Sins of d fathers'. D grl in question mightbe totally innocent. But d first step is lettin urbroda knw d whole truth so dat he can decide forhimself whether to still go on. My brother take heart, its a paiinful situation, d man behind all dese (d grl's father) really needs to apologise seriously. Ipray God helps u pple forgiv & sought thins out

Then your brother must be fvcking hôrny to hold his blood sister like that. No matter how you try putting it, it doesn't just make sense. Da fu..

If there are people who should grow the fvck up like you advised, it is...

• Your brother, who, for whatever reason, held his blood sister by the yansh on a photoshoot on her wedding day.

• The photographer. I mean, this guy should just grow up in this business of his. What was he thinking? Where was he looking? That's a zero professionally!

• You! For thinking that nothing is wrong with the way your blood brother is holding you on a public photoshoot on your wedding day. He should hold your boobs too, nothing is wrong with that. After all, he's your blood brother, isn't he? Abeg enter inside go kpansh your husband jhoor.

More of superiority complex cos there is no grammer any lady can speak that will trip me and i guess thats why i care less if i have a lady who cant speak so well .

And do people always mistake many or most to mean all?

Anyways my standview remains unchanged...i will choose a sexy lady who cant say jack in english over an atutu poyoyo that speaks the queens english.
. I dont know wat u mean by atutu poyoyo, but lets assume dat means an 'unsexy' lady. So lets leave atutu poyoyos aside & tlk of sexy ladies (of ur taste) dat speak 'queens English'. Will u choose a sexy lady that cant say jack over a sexy lady tht speaks queens English? If yes, then u have a self esteem problem (sorry), u settle for less because maybe the 'great' threatens you.

Good one.

I have met many sexy as in super sexy ladies that have ran away from me because of the grammar and i have made up my mind to always caution myself.

Asides this, i have realized that these ladies who have grammar challenges are naturally humble and more wifey than many ladies that can speak grammar like kilode and i have also arrived at a possible school of thought that ladies who speak so well are mostly arrogant and proud and can abuse you so mildly in grammar and when you interpret that to vernacular you will feel the gravity of the insult.
. Are u sure u r not suffering from inferiority complex? Ladies that speak well are arrogant? Ha! This one is new! Okay so are we to assume u r an arrogant guy since u speak well? (presumably). Dont you know that its even a confident, well grounded person (be you girl or boy) that is more likely to treat you wit respect (there are some exceptions though), because some people with self image problems as a result of inability to express themselves (or what have you) can be very difficult to cope with . Unless maybe the only communication u want with her is se.x
