This is the response to your write up: Supreme Court in Dokubo-Asari v. F.R.N. (2007) All FWLR (Pt. 375) p. 558 where the Supreme Court held at page 585 thus: “…Where national security is threatened or there is the real likelihood of it being threatened, human rights or the individual rights of those responsible take second place. Human rights or individual rights must be suspended until the national security can be protected or well taken care of. This is not anything new. The corporate existence of Nigeria as a united, harmonious, indivisible and indissoluble sovereign nation is certainly greater than any citizen’s liberty or right.” OP should contact Supreme Court for further clarifications. |
Awon were, who cares ?You did same to fashola. You did worse to Buhari. In all, God has been greater than you. Shameless set of deluded people. If you cannot stand the demolition of those shanties of 2by2inches shops, find your way to Ariara market. I thought you said Lagos is no man's land!!! By the time he is done with you, you will know that Oduduwa is superior to Nri and Amadioha is not in the same class as Shango. |
they should have advised their Ayatollah to educate his militia and touts to stop blocking the roads that was constructed with tax payers money. RIP to the dead. |

Aregbesola or Aregbese or whatever that skinny goatie of a governor is, is a curse to that state and a fraud of a governor. You could pay Kabiru in full for the failed dubious and fraudulent Opon Imo and you are here threatening to save people that dared to question you why you should be paying them half salary. |
The threat to sack the striking doctors in Osun State may be carried out starting from Monday, The PUNCH has learnt. Governor Rauf Aregbesola gave the hint of what might befall the doctors in Osogbo on Thursday while speaking at the 75th birthday anniversary of the founding President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Hassan Sunmonu. The governor said he was surprised that despite his efforts to persuade the doctors, who commenced the ongoing strike on September 28, 2015, they had stuck to their guns. He said, “To my dismay, they stuck to their guns. But you are either in or out. We have decided to use the civil service rule. “The Head of Service will implement that as from Monday. Head of Service, it is over to you.” Some of those present starting grumbling loud enough to attract the attention of the governor who was forced to ask if some of the doctors were present at the occasion. Our correspondent further gathered that the ultimatum given to the doctors had been extended and it would expire on Friday, January 8 (today). Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the Hospitals Management Board, Mrs. Omolara Ajayi, had while addressing journalists, appealed to the doctors to resume work in the interest of the masses. Ajayi said it was not wrong to fight for one’s rights but the doctors should consider the masses who could not afford to seek medical treatment at private hospitals. She said, “I want to appeal to them to resume in the interest of the masses, people who do not have an alternative. A life that is lost is lost forever.” Ajayi also said state hospitals were not deserted, adding that other medical workers were not on strike and they were rendering services to patients. In a separate statement, the governor insisted that the hospitals were not deserted despite the strike. The statement, which was signed by his spokesman, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon, read in part, “The claim that government hospitals have been deserted is baseless and untrue as only doctors are on strike. Hospitals comprise not only doctors – who are on strike – but also nurses and other paramedics, who are not on strike. “For instance, Hope Clinic (where people with retroviral diseases are being looked after) at our State Specialist Hospital, Asubiaro Osogbo, is operating. Our antenatal clinics and infant welfare clinic are open and attending to patients. “All paramedics are on the ground and I can confirm authoritatively that administrative employees report to work every day in all of our hospitals. “Besides, the government has been negotiating with the striking doctors who have refused to shift ground and meet the government half way on the terms of agreement. Highly placed citizens of this state including elders and leaders of the medical profession, revered traditional rulers and senior people in government have met with the striking doctors but they remain recalcitrant. “They are insisting on the payment of salaries before calling off their strike. This is the area of disagreement.” Meanwhile, the Democratic Socialist Movement has condemned the threat to sack the doctors. The group said this in a statement by its state Coordinator, Mr. Alfred Adegoke; and Secretary, Mr. Kola Ibrahim. The DSM expressed its support for the doctors while urging them not to budge despite the pressure, saying the health sector would be totally destroyed if they allowed themselves to be cowed by the governor’s threat. The statement read in part, “The latest threat of mass sacking by the Osun State Government is part of the attempt of the government to bully all sections of the working class into submission. “We call on the doctors and the workers in general to ignore this threat by the Aregbesola government. If this threat is allowed to see the light of the day, it will worsen the already sick health sector.” |

xtrorx:Pissing on you the Son of Damnation and Kanu the Lunatic Bleaching Yellow Pawpaw. |
The Lunatic Bleaching Yellow Pawpaw aka "our Dilector" is nothing but a terrorist and a toothless lion and he will be treated as such by the Nigerian State that he was calling names. Mentioning Kanu names alongside Ghandi, Mandela, Martin Luther King is an insult on those names and a denigration of those great names. |
Iran wanted to use El Zakyzaky to lead the kind of bloody Islamic revolution Ayatollah led in Iran. Thank God our vigilant NA nipped their plan in the bud. Woes to Zakyzaky. To hell with Ayatollah Fiery fire to Iran. Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria Long live PMB Long live Nigerian Army. It is not Iran's fault, nothing stops Nigerian from storming their Embassy and burning it down like they did to the Saudis. |
Was it a mere visit or you went their to share our collective wealth to your Emirs and Sultan? |
Story for the gods. You are an accomplice in the treasonable felony act and you must spend the rest of your life on earth and heaven in jail. |
God will bless the descendant of Effiong that refused to run away, rather he saved the lives of others by surrendering jejely, while one Usain Bolt was Ben Johnsoning away to Ivory Coast. |
signz:For us to prevent another mad group such as Boko Haram, The Army did the right thing. Army can never be over stretched. In the worst case scenario, they will start drafting the other paramilitary outfits into the Army, like they did in Borno. Immigration, customs nscdc guys etc were drafted to support the Army. We cannot fold our hands and keep condoning lawlessness and a state within a state, people building personal militia armies, because of the fear of another terror group rising. The message will continually be sent to whoever and whatsoever that this is a sovereign state with a recognised authority that must be respected. Anyone that desire to live in a lawless state or have a state within a state should relocate to Raqqa in ISIS or Mogadishu in Somalia. |
signz:We cannot say that because of fear of another terrorists group springing up, Nigeria should keep condoning lawlessness within her borders.. Deal with the exigencies of today first, when the challenges of tomorrow come up, you will also deal with that accordingly. If another terror group rises, they shall be defeated like Boko Haram. before BH, there was the Maitastine sect. No be today. I am sure no group will dare to block a road in the name of one archaic procession again. It is govt road and not El Zakyzaky's road. If he wants his followers to be blocking a road, he should construct a 10lane highway in his compound and be watching them having a militia procession of show of disobedience to constituted authority from his rooftop. |
kulikuli26:Wait till when you are the COAS and you can even prostrate on the road for them, pleading with them to allow you to pass. For now Buratai did it in his own way and he said he has no regret or apology. |
Q Cekpo34:We might all feel the impact, but be rest assured 100% of the pain shall be felt by the people in the land of the trouble makers. How many people in SW know that there is war going on in NE, apart from media report? Nigerian Army acted in the spirit of prevention and successfully brought the sect to the realisation of there cannot be another state within a state. If they want their Islamic caliphate where Quran is their constitution, they should relocate to Iran or ISIS. NA's loyalty and allegiance is to the Nigerian constitution and the keeping of her territorial integrity and sovereignty. Any group that cannot recognise Nigeria Constitution and sovereignty has being supreme and sacred should relocate to where his or her ideology is acceptable to all. Here, it infringes on the right of some and the constitution must also protect the right of those whose rights are being infringed by these almost lawless militia. |
Cekpo34:Story. They can bring it on. It is their land and people that will suffer the calamity. They should ask people in the NE, Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. |
Cekpo34:Nigeria engaged a militia and not innocent citizens. Have you not seen the militia in parade before with dagger and swords? They were simply waiting for Iran supply the guns and Ayatollah to give the order for them to initiate Iran-like bloody Islamic revolution against the Nigerian State. Thank God for the vigilance of NA and the clinical execution of the military action, thereby nipping a potential and more dangerous Boko haram-like problem in its infancy. I heard it clearly when the spokesman of the Shiite group said on Channels TV that they do not recognise The Nigerian State and the Nigerian Constitution. How are they different from BH? Was that not their Ayatollah Zakyzaky has been indoctrinating them with? If the action will bring sanity to the State, respect for the constitution and sovereignty of the country, so be it. Next time they will keep their procession to the walkway of the road or they will be passing through the bush without infringing on the right of other tax payers and road users. |
Lalasticlala front page. |
How do we even believe that the caller is not one of their sect member? It seems Iran has a sinister and clandestine plan with the group. How Iran carried the whole matter on.their head is ridiculous and very suspicious. At last, their plan of waging Ayatollah kind of bloody revolution for Nigeria was nipped in the bud. I can understand why they are crying more than the bereaved. |
cjeriia:Then, you should realise that there is something thick that is keeping them Inn Lagos that they CAN NEVER get in alaigbo. |
