PoliticsRe: African Militaries Led By Nigeria Ready To Act In Ivory Coast Standoff by superboi(m): 10:28pm On Jan 21, 2011
This Quattara guy in his first presidency(when he was acting) ceded the port and a lot of other things in CIV to France, some of the things he ceeded to them was for nothing but a figurative 1 CFA. Now we can understand why france are willing and fighting for him(added to that the present French president was like his best man during his marriage and they have been friends for a long time). But why are we going to send our poorly equipped military to die?(military of country like ethiopia, sudan e.t.c) are better equipped than ours(Thanks to Uncle Ibro). What do we have to gain? How does using violence entrench democracy? So will Nigeria Army go and put ex rebels who had mutined in 2002 in power? What precedence are setting here at home?(please this guys are still rebels since they refused to turn in their arms before the elections as was agreed prior to the elections).

FOR THE LOVE OF FRANCE

This is long over-due.It's time to teach all these greedy african leaders that it's not business as usual.

For how long do we continue to blame the europeans for our woes even when we are the architects of such problems.Gbagbo must go !
So what do we do When after 5 years Mr Quattara refuses to hand over send troops to boot him out too? huh huh we should leave them to sort out them selves if it does not killed them it will make them stronger,

African WW is looming. No one knows whom Gbagbo is depending on for military support. With Ghana keeping mute like Switzerland I wonder what the position of Senegal and other francophone countries are.
They are indications that Angola and Zims are with Gbagbo. If that true it will also be a strong indication that China has got the guy back and men you don't want to mess with a country that is outborrowing the world bank shocked shocked. It is sad that why since Murtala Nigeria has scored less than 5% in international Affairs( na so so house boy job we don dey do). Right now the chinese are more willing to give us better arms than the west, so why fight for the west?

We have to show this people that the can not use violence as a political currency. If they dare attacker people from other region or religion they should be attacked back also. Haba as their father Abacha would say, Enaff is enaff.
Foreign AffairsRe: The Ivory Coast Crisis - Another Perspective by superboi(m): 9:39pm On Jan 17, 2011
Mors man my let me put my question on Gbagbo to you in the most simple format
1. Do you support the precedence set by Quattara and his people, that held the country hostage for 8 year with violence.
2. Do you believe the UN/USA/France is fair by willing to enter a country to fight a legitimate Armed force, but eight years earlier not supporting that armed force appropriatly to ouster the same rebel movement it is now willing to enpower?
3. Don't you think if Quattara feels he won he should go to the Ivorian courts( If he loses or win this will enpower the ivorian people to believe more in their system and their selves, something you seem to desire in every African?) or street and look for support and not planning to the UN?
4. Don't you think the UN made a blunder by Quickly Congratulating a winner before the issues surrounding the elections were cleared?
5. Can't you by anychance fathom that the election was rigged by the illiterate rebel soldiers in the north or in the south and any agrieved candidate should be given the chance to appeal?.
See my guys the issue plenty,

Great you've convinced me. I guess they are soley responsible for all our problems. Those bastards they got us hook, line and sinker. There's no way out now!
Gbagbo who is a so called academic lacks this insight does he now? THe best he can come up with is accusing his former colonialist of interference onthe one hande while still relying on the same Loans and handouts the french are heavily involved with. Are they that s.t.u.pi.d? Maybe they are as incompetent as the "imperialist" proclaim.
Today marks exactly 50 years since patrice Lumuba was killed. Then some people with similar Ideology with you would have though it was conspiracist yarns when people said he was killed By The CIA and The Belgians. But today those two parties have admitted their complicity in the matter of Lumumba death. Nobody is calling Gbagbo a saint but sit for a moment and think, if Gbagbo Goverment had given france access to what Quattara gave them access to at the time he was president do you think they would have allowed a armed group run against him in an election? If Gbagbo was a bad guy he would just have called out a result from Abidjan!!!! opps! I forgot over 1/2 of the electoral commission was Quattara men.

The picture above shows how Africans are bound by the impremalist. A word you hate but truly exsist

Foreign AffairsRe: Tunisia's President Resigns by superboi(m): 9:08am On Jan 15, 2011
Now only if those fools to the south like Gbagbo will do the same thing. I doubt it though since most of the people are illiterate ethnic driven buffons
A resistance and demostration by armed and un-uniformed rebelled soldiers is different from that by real civillians who are armed with only stones and the will to die. Also the Tunisian Army which was alienated by Ben Ali and his special forces was on the people side.

Real Ivorian can"t demostrate for a man willing to serve the french before them

Foreign AffairsRe: The Ivory Coast Crisis - Another Perspective by superboi(m): 5:46pm On Jan 11, 2011
Ok morpheus24, let me clarify abit from my point of view. I feel if you sincerely want to look into this matter you would have to go back to 2002(some may go further, depending of how much of CIV history you know) when Gbagbo first won the election the same Quattara said he would make the state ungoverable for Gbagbo and that year the rebellion took place. After a while the GOV started getting a better of the rebels then France came and acted as a buffer, If Ecowas was serious about precedence it was then they should have intervened and insisted that the rebels be disarmed and allow Gbagbo hand over in 2005.
But instead they watched the rebels cut a power sharing deal as SORO was made prime minister , and they never agreed to disarm. A lot of people say Gbagbo has ruled for 10 years but they forget that it was because the Rebels refused to disarm as per the power sharing agreement(People like T.Mbeki was even against the election taking place with the rebels armed). I think we should ask our selves why didn't the Rebels want to disarm?
1. They were minning diamonds and cocoa.
2. delay tactics getting stronger arming to unseat Gbagbo
3. They knew they could manipulate election in their halve of the country.
4. They had strong backers and instructions.

I think the precedence we should have set was in 2002 by telling the rebels that as long as they are armed no elections would take place in the country.
Foreign AffairsRe: The Ivory Coast Crisis - Another Perspective by superboi(m): 5:06pm On Jan 11, 2011
Gbagbo does not have enough troops and miltary power to survive a war against the UN backed ECOWAS and northern troops combined.
@morpheus24, If the UN and ECOWAS-Ghana support rebel troops(mind you they were suppose to have disarmed since) in disarming and fighting the country's legitimate Armed Forces, What moral ground would the UN have in telling Iran not to ARM or support Hizbollah in Gaza or Boko haram In Nigeria? Or why won't Russian or Chavez Arm Farca rebels in Colombia After this invasion? People are watching that why you see even the USA is getting cold feet and would soon leave the foolish(as usual) French to clean their Poo. If the French lose CIV the lost a whole lot of investment and Business, they should send their own troops to die not us.

Gbagbo is a different proposition than C.Taylor and L.Nkunda. While these guys were warlords and that was their route to power and relevance in Africa, L.Gbagbo is from the school of Activistism like Mugabe, these guys are hard fighters and can stand their ground well. A lot of us Nigerians have just folllowed this issue after the elections but its deeper than that. I think like R.Odinga if OBJ go and meet Gbagbo his eyes go open

The international community has searched Quattara's past and favor him to lead, so he could resign the Oil deals that he signed when he was acting president because Gbagbo might change or put in an open bid and give to the Chinese or Russians like Ghana did or the Nigerian PIB was suppose to do?
This is really a tuff war taking place in west African between the Old and the Emerging powers, and my grouse is that we are not aware once again like during the cold war and taking sides with outsiders instead of protecting our national intrest.

morpheus24 ,
Please tell me how a court that is full of Gbagbo supporters and is not independent of its executive branch any better. Please man! Please!
Also go and find out the people who constituted the electoral panel too? where does Mr Bakayoko head of the electoral panel comes from? It is very sad that even we as Africans like to sterotype ourselves, this is not about a sit tight African leader but about the failure of the international community to help the government of Gbagbo flush out rebels 8 years ago. Now what gives them the moral authority to tell that same government to hand over to the rebels in an elections that was rushed and is now disputed.(note Thambo Mbeki said told them that in 2006 when the agreement for this election was being written and agreed upon that the only possible outcome could be more conflict, The UN disagreed and now we can see the result.

All this yeye Nigerian making mouth say make they send or army their sef!!! Do you know how many soldier died in Liberia? or sierra leone? Go to most of our barrack they are full of civilians, most of our figures of soldiers they give you are forged so they go chop ghost worker salary. make france and america go fight for their oil and see if chinese and russian wouldn't arm Cote d'iviore openly. For those of you saying Gbagbo has ruled for ten years are wrong they rebels and him have been sharing power since 2005 and they have had say in every decision, please you guy should not be so sterotypical in your thinking, "just because nah africa im means say nah sit thight leader". Was Rosevelt that did 4 terms a sit tight leader? it was because they nation was at war. A lot of experts warned UN about conducting an election in a country were rebels are still armed but they refused, nah dat period mumu Goodluck for put mouth but im no talk.
Foreign AffairsRe: Un Recognizes Ouattara As Ivory Coast's President by superboi(m): 6:24am On Dec 26, 2010
KOBOJUNKIE,
the UN was warned by people like Thabo Mbeki that this would be the outcome of having an election between a rebellion force and a sitting government if the main issue of the conflict were not solved way back in 2006, But the UN who are fond of doing shoddy jobs just waved him aside. That is when this crisis started and they called him again to intervene he just came spoke to the two guys and left. How on Earth did the UN think That the CIV army would accept to hand over to rebel forces or imagine if Gbagbo was declared winner did you think the rebels who did not accept Gbagbo when they were less armed in 2002 would accept him now?? You must be the one kidding me if you have been following this issue since 2002 or 2006 when the election plans were written out and you thought that any of the two parties would accept an election defeat to the other.
Foreign AffairsRe: Un Recognizes Ouattara As Ivory Coast's President by superboi(m): 7:53am On Dec 24, 2010
This is not about Gbagbo as the UN is making it out. It is about the Army not accepting troops that mutined against it in 2002 back, The UN are not being sincere and African Nations are following them blindly. If the UN finally enters CIV with force we are probably going to have another Iraq, whereby the current Ivorian army( note they have the best knowledge of the terrain) will start using guerrila tactics to eliminate both foreign troops and Quattara rebels (some are ex-soldiers who are guilty of mutiny and are now being recognised by UN). It will be a long protracted war being fought because sakorzy wants to see his friend in power and protect french business intrest. Abeg make Nigerian government no go send our troops to fight another man's war, make sarkozy send his boys.

quoting Kcjazz
In as much as it seems the blame will go to Western interests, my problem with this stand-off is innocent citizens will die for something that is senseless. Gbagbo can play the victim or the freedom fighter but again he has being President since 2000, Is that not enough? We need strong leaders  in Africa who can unite people and grow the economy rather we have leaders who stir up ethnic and religious violence to achieve their agenda. My prayers are with them.
kcjazz, a lot of countries allows the leader to countinue in power whenever there is a war going on, even the Usa gave F. Roosevelt 4 terms because the country needed stability at that point. If the UN were sincere they should have insisted that the rebels disarm totally before any election take place in the CIV, this was part of the 2006 agreement which the UN and the parties agreed to but the UN made sure Gbagbo and his allies kept to their part but the rebels never kept to any deadline. If Quattara gets into power you will see alot of rebels movements from people who loss elections in Africa. People like Atiku is watching out to see the outcome of this, If Quattara is agrieved he should go to the CIV court not to his personal friend sarkosy.

@JOHNDOE200

A police man shoots a civilian on the street and the next thing is some dope comes out with "President is killing us".
This reminds me on something I saw two days ago here in Port Harcourt. I was in a bank where a man(customer) who has been expecting money transfer(about $100) claims he has been coming for about week and the bank(the bankers told him they haven't recieved the transfer) has been playing him. All of a sudden the guy lost and started transhing their computer system and shouting ontop of his voice, give me the money, customer outside heard and thot it was a robber and started running the when the police in front of the bank entered the man ran toward him, but fell down short of him. Later the police man said he almost pulled the trigger because the guy was attacking him. I bet if he had shot the guy the press would have wrote cops killed innocent citizen, we should learn not to mess with armed people.
PoliticsRe: Ecowas Suspends Civ, Recognises Ouattara by superboi(m): 9:36am On Dec 10, 2010
Jonathan case is different, they have been a war in Cote d'ivoire for the past 8 years and for the UN to allow the main participant in that war to run against each other when they are so popular( even if the election result is true 48% : 52%, it could have gone anywhere), was a call for trouble especially when the main issues that caused the war have not been trashed out. Now most probably(I pray not) the war will likely escalate as both party now have major international backing and "LEGAL" reasons to fight each other. I think the best thing was to redefine the structure of the state and government to have peace and free and fair election.
PoliticsRe: Ecowas Suspends Civ, Recognises Ouattara by superboi(m): 9:02am On Dec 10, 2010
MUSIWA You seem to have a better grasp of the issue than people who just tuned in after the election was "won" by Quattara. This issue has been on for a while a M.U.M.U ECOWAS no put mouth. If the UN and ECOWAS were being sincere they would not have even conducted election in such a fragile suituation that they knew would only bring acrimony, bitterness and war. If ECOWAS and UN were serious they would have pleaded to all these over 65years olds with record of being divisive not to run for an election that was meant to unite a divided country. The west is not being sincere in this case and we should use our head and not our heart to ask what is the west so intrested in putting Quattara? they have been openly supply his rebels weapon since 2002 to fight a constitutional government and now they want to install him as president after a highly flawed election. It should be noted that it is only in Nigeria in West Africa that the North is more populated than the South, now how are they saying Quattara won with more votes from the North? Abeg this Jonathan don the F' up oooo, he should have just shut up.

Get your fact right it was Bedie that started the assertion that Quattara was burkinabe, even in the US that you use as example a arnold can't become the president of the country. Even a US born citizen(born of parents that are full blooded American) with dual nationality can't become president, because he might be in a compromising condition in future. I don't support oppresors (neither Gbagbo or his russian, or Quattara or his French), but what i support is that African leaders believe in its' institutions no matter how bad they are and be committed to make them work and not runing to the west anytime a Gbagbo doesn't want to handover. That why I respect Buhari even thou I do not like his person and can't vote  him, he goes to the court and if he loses he contest the next time. If the people really want him then they should make it happen and not UN. My personal opinion is that election should have never been allowed to happen in cote d'ivoire with all these devisive actors, Imagine Nigeria having an election in 1967, what would have been the outcome? This S.H.*.T is the creation of the UN. As to my naivity, lolz I laugh cos i have predicted Gbagbo would be backed by Russian before they came out and they did, This is my field You being to emotional about it,
Foreign AffairsRe: World Leaders Back Ouattara As Ivory Coast Poll Winner by superboi(m): 7:01pm On Dec 09, 2010
Vedaxcool, Who is not a Murderer or a law breaker? Please leave that thing? It is because Gbagbo did not do their bidding that they want him out and and want their boy Quattara in. Quattara has been even linked with the Rebel movement in that country since 2002 ( with burkinabe Campore as main supplier/France arm) in the whole war so he is not clean. What am saying is that If Quattra or Odinga or Changairai felt that they lost elections and they really love their country and want it to grow they have two options on is
a. To embark on civil protest and demostrations (this can only be effective if you have real support)
b. To go to court like AC has been doing( this is only possible if you have hard core evidence and support)
To go and invite foreign countries to take power over in your country will only make you subservant to them and not your people and to plea bargain a power sharing deal is only to help increase corruption that this opposition guys are always claiming to be challenging. Democracy is not a easy march especially in a place like Africa with cultures that do not help promote it. In a place like Nigeria that we are slowly and surely making progress because of different people having faith in a corrupt legal system, the system has started working by force, look at the south west!! 5 years ago nobody would have believed that the courts can do what it has done there, but because the oppposition politicians believed in the courts even when it was corrupt they(courts) had no choice but to change( The bible a great book said, faith moves mountain) . That is what true oppositions with intrest of their people at heart should do not stay in one fancy hotel and hold press confernce with BBC,CNN et al and expect UN to swear them in.
Foreign AffairsRe: World Leaders Back Ouattara As Ivory Coast Poll Winner by superboi(m): 8:19pm On Dec 08, 2010
MYJOE, I felt that Charles Tarloy would have been captured in battle but once he turned himself in when he could still fight and with a "strong regional power" Nigeria granting him assylum and later giving him up was not fair play on the part of the international community. This is different from a guy like karadzic who ran away and went into hiding or Saddam who was caught in "combat". What the arrest of Charles Tarloy simply told future tyrants is fight till the end and take as many people as you. Now Ecowas can't really tell Gbagbo jack cause he saw what they did to Tarloy, at this point Gbagbo, If am Gbagbo would stay on hope to get a joint presidency or fight on because once he leave that sit the french are going to gun for his neck. Please NB: I do no support Gbagbo but what i do not like is the short sighted and reflexsive action the UN has been taking lately that can only lead to more trouble.
Foreign AffairsRe: World Leaders Back Ouattara As Ivory Coast Poll Winner by superboi(m): 9:30pm On Dec 06, 2010
MYJOE I agree with you, I don't support that power sharing thing, it's a fraud both parties have good reason not to perform and the people that suffer is the Masses. The UN should have never supported this formular in Kenya and Zimbabwe as half justice is no justice and that what this power sharing phenomena is. Now you can bet that any africa leader (power block) that losses an election will just unturn it and cause some disruptions, knowing he would be offered a power sharing deal. Another reason why this leaders wouldn't want to leave is that the WEST is now using the International Criminal Court (ICC) as a tool of vengeance against Africa leaders the don't dance to their tunes. As much as I Hate Charles Tarloy( I lost people I knew to his ruthlessness) I think since he willingly left power he would have just been left in exile. Now seeing the fate of charles Tarloy, people like Mugabe and Gbagbo(who troop killed french troops who were supporting rebels) rather the whole zimbabwe and Ivory Cost burn than for them to resign to be handed over to the ICC.
