It's not as simple as this, i was in an ivorian forum where even a northern ivorian said he they was massive rigging up north with backing from neighbouring  country(Burkina Faso and Mali) who are france proxies. Now Gbagbo who is an anti foreign interventionist has been leader for the past eight years and may be leaning east (china). The french and the west do not want to lose their pearl that is why they are backing ex IMF economist Quattara and have even been openly supporting rebel group fighting Gbagbo for the past 8 years. Another issue why Gbagbo would not step down is because the west are fond of punishing leaders that willingly step aside after conflict in Africa, e.g. Charles Tarloy, while guys like Kibaki and Mugabe who sit tight after losing would get power sharing deals. If I was Gbagbo i guess I would gamble a power sharing deal than definantly work into the ICC where france would send himif he steps down, The UN has set a wrong precedence.

I think the greed of the past eleven years have finally turned to hurt these northern leaders/elders. If people like IBB were not greedy they could have groomed someone like Marwa to ascend to the post of president. He would have protected their intrest and he would have been acceptable to majority of Nigeria, but because they are all greedy and afraid of young men with their own mind, they pushed him aside after 2003. Well I guess it their loss.

Dokpesi has been on IBB pay roll for a very long time. Why did You Think He opposed third term? He did that at the control of his Master IBB , who knew that if by chance Obj got his 3rd term he would never be able to actualize his dream of becoming a president again.

Is it the Balkans wars with the Arabs/muslim world supplying arms and finance to their european brothers and the othodox europeans(RUSSIAN,GRECCE etal) backing up their Serbian othodox brothers or sudan with every watching and arming up for the referedum in 2011 there or the Caucasia/ Central asia region most war of this epoch is being fought based on the sentiment of cultural and ethic fault lines. Its times nigerian/afriacan understand life is not about local "chop-chop" politics and the african race learn how to play both side of the divide that is the only way to real developement. look that what ethiNc cousins INDIA AND PAKISTAN DID, and that what THE SOUTH AMERICANS ARE DOING with some side F#$%KING WITH ONE SIDE and the other side F#$$KING WITH THE OTHERS(E.G COLOMBIA AND VENUZULA constant fake yawa).But Africa Dey open for everybody anyhow like oshofree. We get no where like that.

It's a pity that the majority of nigerian don't know the strategic position of nigeria in international geopolitics, and the international culture and dominance. That is why if nigerian is not careful we will be the Congo(DR) of the 21st century, because the the world was in a battle of ideology between the freemarket(west) and socialist(east) in the 20th century but today what we are having is a clash of civilazations and the world is gradually turning to be a battle between western based culture societies and eastern based societies. And nigeria is a very vital cultural projection point in subsaharan africa thus the battle for the soul of nigeria.
