When next you see your Inlaws, greet them 'How are you?' and come back to tell us their reaction. It is 'ago' and 'ibaje' that makes you greet your elders that way unless in a working environment

Sincere 9gerian: You dont have to be president before you help in solving national problems. It was not the "c-in-c" that identified the Boston bombers. It was the people in the community that identified one of the suspects and alerted security agencies.

Buhari and other leaders of the north should deploy their leadership position to assist in curbing Boko Haram. If they continue to be lukewarm, that'll be very unfortunate. But certainly, the leaders of the north cannot ascend to Aso Rock on the back of ongoing blood bath in the north. That is a FACT. If you read Buhari speech today, he conspicuously tried to score cheap political points with the ongoing Boko haram menace. But he'll certainly fail

PoliticsPatience Jonathan Loses Prime Abuja Land To Turai Yaradua by superior1(op): 8:34pm On May 02, 2013
Nigeria’s former First Lady, Hajia Turai Yar’Adua on Thursday floored incumbent First Lady Patience Goodluck Jonathan as Justice Peter Affren of the Abuja High Court set aside the purported revocation by the FCT administration of a land measuring about 1.84 hectares allocated to Turai’s non governmental organization, Women and Youth Empowerment Foundation, WAYEF.

The court held that the claims by the FCT Minister that the land was revoked on an overriding public interest was not supported by any shred of evidence before the court. It further held that the initial letter of offer issued Turai’s organization by the Minister remains valid and subsisting.

“The defendants failed woefully to adduce any shred of evidence before this court to support their claims that the allocation of the land was revoked on overriding public interest. There is no overriding public interest in this issue. The allocation made to the plaintiff who is a vocational training centre was in public interest and in line with section 28 (1) of Land Use Act”

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by superior1: 12:44am On Apr 27, 2013
justwise: You keep referring to this link, withdrawing the money after you have submitted is a bad practice, we should not be encouraging this here.if the embassy called you for an interview and required that you come with a fresh bank statement then you are in for a tough one. Whether the bank give away the bank balance to the embassy or not, the embassy have a way of going around it.
I have said nothing to encourage such.I am only saying what i know from professional experience.

phemobay: thanks I really appreciate u all, let others share their idea on dis, because so many people ar doing it dis way and it works... mor post on dis issue please
I doubt if so many people are really doing it like you suggested. The problem arises when they ask you to reprint and bring a new statement and there is no money to show besides why approach the embassy for visa when you cant afford the fund needed for the journey huh.

You are very naive and set in you ways.
The visa officials have ways to establish the truth of bank statements and banks do co-operate with them.
I will give one simple example so that you can try to understand.
Visa official will look at statement presented and then ask "Is the closing balance XXXXX?"
or " Is the last transaction XXXXX"
These are questions that bank will answer and show up any problem.
Remember they have discretion to refuse visa. Any doubt then NO VISA and possible ban.
We have heard many such tales here.
I sure respect what you think you know but if you think having close to a decade banking experience makes me naive to banking operations, i will just laugh at that.

shakarababie: @vicjustice @justwise. Thanks guys got my uk student visa today. Thanks for your advice. It's really appreciated
@phemobay to the best of my knowledge the embassy doesn't ask the bank for the accounts available balance. After I printed out my statement. My dad used part of the money In his account and I got my visa regardless. I was worried and my dads bank manager said a bank can't give out such confidential details. But to be on d safe side, if you can replace the money. You should. Hope that helps. smiley
Congrats, remember i told you just the same. I will be in the UK next week,if you have time for a friendly chat, lets hook.

Vicjustice: You just have to hope that they don't suspect that you are trying to use deception, you could get banned for 10 years, you know.,
If i were you, i would withdraw my application before they find out the fraud
There is no need to, i don't see where fraud applies to the scenario and Banks don't tell embassies the amount in a customers account.
IslamRe: Islam is Against Wife Oppression by superior1: 4:19pm On Apr 26, 2013
maclatunji: Simple logic, she is likely to come-up worse if she strikes first. Equity my dear not equality. If the rule were to allow women to do the same as men, many would try it and come-out worse off. Islam is a pratical religion for all people. It embraces every type of scenario you can think of and comes out with a position that you can all work with. The blissful marriage obviously does not have this injunction applying to them. It is the gravely-ill ones that it applies to. What does it say? Man, control your anger and only tap her lightly instead of for example slapping or punching her.
Huhh.., sorry, i would have preferred not tapping atol so there wont be room for over-tapping.

FamilyRe: Divorce - Why Cant Women Say "I M Sorry"? by superior1: 9:58pm On Apr 25, 2013
There is a spiritual dimension to marriage. Search deeper and go spiritual, take time in prayers. Women have intuitions, your family may really be showing her hatred.

It took an unguarded outburst from my mum for me to know the way she really felt about my wife.

Marriage is Spiritual
