globemoney01: I'm happy that people are now beginning to speak. I've lived in PH and I;m very familiar with this issue. Deep down, every Ikwerre know they are igbo but will NEVER accept it until when it's convenient for them. Take Rotimi Amaechi for example, he never admitted to be igbo until just recently when he started playing national politics.
I personally don't like Ikwerre people, the way they despise igbos. I wonder why any sane igbo man will want to attach to these lazy uneducated lots. Why can't we call their bluff the way they call our bluff. Ikwerre is a minority group and igbos keep embarrassing themselves with this set of people.
The funny thing is their are still people in Rivers State that accept their igboness, like the Oyigbo axis, Oyigbo is like a typical igbo community on any good day and they are one of the marginalized communities in Rivers State. If the misguided igbos can use the same energy they use in claiming Ikwerre people to empower these communities to take over power in Rivers State, Ikwerre will come begging. They have no option.
Ikwerre should be the ones begging us to accept them not the other way round. Many times, most igbos act emotionally and dont think thank God you said deep down, these guys know that they are Igbos. and nobody is FORCING any attachment on them, pls ignore pazienza pranks of wanting to misrepresent issues. I have always said it that I will accept those who accept me and reject those who reject me, but for posterity sake, port Harcourt was and remains alaigbo. ikwerre will "bend the knee" when we start dealing with them. they will be punished. but I wont because of that reject the good ones among them who are still proud if their igboness |

pazienza: How do you explain the fact that Ikwerre people you lots claim, has repeatedly through their apex socio-cultural organization, Ogbakor Ikwerre, denied having any link with you? When some one rejects you, and yet, you keep clinging unto the person, including threatening and cursing your brothers who know you deserve better, and keep telling you to leave this person alone, what would you call such behavior, does it look normal to you?
"Ikwerre is not Igbo" - Ogbakor Ikwerre 'Ikwerre migrated from Bini" - Celestine Omehia ( Ogbakor Ikwerre chieftain) "Ikwerreland is not part of Biafra, we are not Ibos"- Ikwerre people.
Now see how IPOB reacts to this
Ikwerre must be Igbo Ikwerre migrated from Nkwerre Imo state Ikwerre and Igweocha is Biafraland.
What do we call this, if not extreme case of inferiority complex? When someone rejects you, the right thing to do if you are psychologically normal, is to move on from the person. what is the meaning of "ogbakor"? are you more seasoned than the experts who have historical evidence about igwuocha? how does knowing about a people's true history translate to wanting to cling to them? even if some ikwerre school of thought should disclaim Igbo, does it change the fact that there are ikwerre people who are members of ohaneze ndigbo? i-too-know has always been disgracing you from time to time, it will keep disgracing you and your likes. you mode of thinking is isolationist, the same way you almost made us lose our delta Igbo brethren....your attitude is self destructive and very un-igbo. where are the adults in nairaland? there seem to be children every where. |

pazienza: You couldn't have put it any better. Our IPOB people suffer from extreme case of low self esteem. These people would do anything to get these non Igbos to accept Biafra or Igbo tag.
I had asked them repeatedly, of what use is a brother who would not identify with you because you are supposedly weak, and gives you the condition that he can only be comfortable identifying with you, only and when you must have built yourself strong? My answer is that such a brother is useless and not needed by anyone. A brother is only a brother because he can identify with you when you are weak. Because, let's face it, once you are strong, rich and influential, the whole world will identify with you, in which case you don't need such useless brother.
Substitute You with Ndiigbo (SE) and the brother with Igboids in SS. And you see why I don't regard them at all. I don't blame you. because IPOB says port Harcourt is igboland now means they have low self esteem? look who's talking. what has the dude's post got to do with IPOB? did he mention IPOB? armchair critic if you don't know who to attack tonight, pls attack your village people and stop parroting IPOB here and there. if I face you pazienza, your village men will weep for you. |

sage: Guy while most other Nigerian cities and Eastern cities have improved from what they were 30 years ago, Aba is the only one that is worse than it was 30 years ago. Enugu is a bigger and better city than before, so are places like Awka, Owerri and Onitsha. Even nearby Uyo that is about 1 hour from Aba is a much better city now. None of these places were comparable to Aba just 20 years ago. they were small towns in comparison.
The regression in Abia is killing Igboland completely since this state and esp Aba is the hub of manufacturing in Nigeria. The current state of the city is an absolute shame. Nothing to show whatsoever for 20 years under OUK, TA and the current guy. its okay if you are dissatisfied with the state of aba. I am too. but aba's problem is infrastructure, not commerce or human resources. aba made is now marketable at a large scale. soldier boots and uniforms are aba made today. leathers shoes, belts, bags, etc are manufactured, marketed and sold in tonnes daily. that, I give ikpeazu some credit for that. but infrastructure renewal remains aba's problem. I know it sucks. i am not sure ikpeazu is a good administrator. God help alaigbo. |

OreMI22: Abia State moved from the BEST state in the SE to indisputably the WORST state in the SE.
Sadly, Aba is a principal city in the SE that must rise for the economy of the zone to take off. I am so sad each time i remember Orji Uzor Kalu and Theordore Orji. These are two names that will live in infamy for their roles in dragging Abia state from a prime state in Nigeria to a totally failed state.
I hope the present Governor Okezie Ikpeazu will focus on reviving Aba into a vibrant city again through fixing it's infrastructure. Once the city is made habitable again, private investors will flow in and do what is required in that video. The only role of the government is to clean up the city and fix the roads. I like that they are using concrete roads for some perennially flooded roads to make sure they are solid even when the area is flooded. worst state by what indices? bia, in as much as I detest KALU AND THEODORE for worsening our infrastructural deficit, I don't see where abia ranks at the bottom as a state. its easier to develop a virgin territory like abakaliki than an industrial region like aba. this is because no matter what development you bring you must stick to the plan. moreso, the momentum of reurbanisation will be slower due to the structures already on ground. by the way, there is also an umuahia city to cater for. educationally and economically, abia remains a force to reckon with in Nigeria. |

Develpeast: You might not like the what pazienza is saying basically because it does not support your IPOB agenda. I fully understand your stand point and like the ikwerres, it will be difficult to erase even with myriad of evidence coming from that angle that those people do not like us. Ikwerres are having this strong belief of recent of a unified Niger delta that will cover their lapses in the event of restructuring or eventual division of this country. Why? The whole of Niger delta can boast of oil and sea access which will help boost economic activities in their area and judging from the number of oil companies they already have, they have something to offer the other groups based oil-based industrialization.
We igbos can only boast of individualistic achievements. To them, we couldn't save them in the 60's and as it stands now we cannot save them in 2018. The south south has a bargaining chip but we do not. They cannot follow us based on a pipe-dream that has not gotten any form yet. You have to understand them. They need to continually present themselves as ikwerre so that they continuously get from the south south and stay relevant in the region. It will be difficult for you to change that because you are not offering anything better than what they are getting.
We igbos need to work on ourselves. We are being dragged and neglected by the people who should naturally align with us. If we fail to start seeing reality the way it is, then I have to say I am sorry to you all. The southeast should start developing the areas that identify with igbos now and let others follow later. We cannot stop thinking and working because ikwerre and other subgroups refuses to align with us. It does not make any sense. I agree that we have to start with the areas that identifies with us first. however, I am also saying that it doesn't still change the fact that port Harcourt is alaigbo for posterity sake. that's just my standpoint. |

Cjrane2: Dave Umahi is a great Governor. I would have preferred Soludo if he were in PDP. Yet, i know Peter Obi is eminiently qualified for the position.
In Nigeria, there are a lot of forces out to get ndigbo to fight and wash their dirty linen in public just to discredit Ndigbo. I remember when Chuba Okidigbo was Senate President, some Nigerians ran to Evan Ewerem to instigate him against Okadigbo. I knew exactly that once that happened, he too would not last because it will be another group instigating Igbos to topple him too.
The same thing happened when Nnamdi Kanu spoke about boycott of Anambra elections against a performing popular governor. I was against the boycott, but i was even more afraid of the division it could create unless our people learned to talk in closed door meetings than pages of newspapers.
Other Nigerians especially from the SW always ensnare the Igbo with one divisive topic or another. They have learnt from our history that they cannot defeat us when we are united. But they will easily tear us to shreds once they get us to sing discordant tunes. That is the danger in what Umahi is doing. I am so so sorry for you. obiano....performing? lol..... anyway keep nnamdi KANU out of your mentions. using his name to gain attention won't take you anywhere. |

FUNDAMENTAL ACHIEVEMENTS AS GOVERNOR OF ANAMBRA STATE (PARTIAL LISTING) 1. Anambra was the first State to commence Sub- Sovereign Wealth savings, the first of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa. At a time many other Governors were leaving huge debts, I left the equivalent of $500 million Dollars in investment as well as local and foreign currency, including $156 million in Dollar-denominated bonds. 2. For the first time in the history of Anambra State, Ambassadors and High Commissioners of notable countries such as United States, Britain, Russia, European Union, South Africa, Belgium, Israel, the Netherlands, Canada, among others, visited the State. Before my tenure, Anambra was practically a pariah state blacklisted by the Diplomatic Corps and international development partners. 3. Development partners such as UNDP, UNICEF, the World Bank, DFID, the European Union etc., which hitherto were not in Anambra State started working with the State. Anambra was consistently adjudged one of the best states in development partnership and commitment to reforms for good governance. 4. He was recognised as Best Governor by the Millennium Development Goals Office (OSSAP- MDGs) and the UNDP in the implementation of their programmes in Nigeria. 5. The Nigerian Debt Management Office (DMO) rated Anambra as the least indebted state in Nigeria. In spite of visible and measurable achievements recorded in various sectors, the State under him did not borrow or raise bonds for her various projects. 6. The Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria rated Anambra State as the most financially stable state in the country. 7. The State's ground-breaking return of schools to their original owners - Voluntary Agencies (Churches) on 1st January 2009, and subsequent partnership with the Agencies in Education, saw the State move from 24th position out of 36 States to Number One in National Examination Council (NECO) and West African Examination Council (WAEC) examinations for three consecutive years. This made the World Bank to commission a study, led by the renowned Prof. Paul Collier of Oxford University, on this revolutionary partnership and phenomenal achievement. 8. The State also entered into strategic partnership with the Churches in the Health sector. This symbiotic relationship resulted in a tremendous boost to health care because of the services offered by health institutions owned by Voluntary Agencies, while the State restored grants to the agencies and made available to them more than 50 million Dollars in various types of support. 10. Through partnership with the Church in the Health sector, his Government funded the transformation of -: a: Iyienu Hospital, Ogidi; b: Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Ihiala; c: St Charles Borromeo Hospital, Onitsha; d: Holy Rosary Hospital, Waterside, Onitsha; and e: St. Joseph Hospital, Adazi-Nnukwu. His Government also built the Joseph Nwilo Heart Centre in St. Joseph, Adazi-Nnukwu, where heart operations are now being performed. 11. His Government won the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (1 Million dollars) as the best- performing state in immunisation in the South-East. With complementary funding from our Government, they used the money to build 10 Maternal and Child Care Centres across the State, particularly in rural communities, in partnership with the Churches. 12. The State was the first to procure and distribute more than 30,000 computers to secondary schools, including 22,500 from HP. The Managing Director for Personal Systems Group HP Inc, Mr. FabriceCampoy described the deployment as the biggest of such projects in the Middle-East and Africa. 13. Anambra State Government provided Microsoft Academies to more than 500 secondary schools, which the Head of Microsoft in Nigeria (Mr. Ken Span) described as the biggest such deployment in Africa so far. 14. The State provided Internet access to more than 500 secondary schools, which the CEO of Galaxy Backbone (Mr. Gerald Ilukwe) characterized as incomparable to any in the country. 15. More than 700 buses were provided to secondary schools in the State by our Government. 16. Boreholes were provided in schools all over the State. 17. Numerous classrooms were built in all the 177 communities of the State. 18 As part of the efforts to turn around the economy of the State, a number of companies were attracted to build their facilities in the Anambra State. A case in point is SABMiller, the 2nd largest brewery in the world, which built their first Green Field facility in the State, which is today one of the most successful facilities they operate globally. 19. A number of other companies followed the SABMiller initiative and were all supported and encouraged under our Government; a good example is INNOSON Motor Manufacturing Company, from which our government bought more than 1,000 vehicles. 20. Anambra State for the first time started close collaboration with recognized government security agencies (the Police, Army, Navy, Department of State Security, Civil Defence, among others), offering them various types of support including provision of more than 500 security vehicles. The improvement in security was phenomenal, such that the former IG of Police (Abubakar Mohammed) lauded Anambra State for not witnessing any bank robbery in my last three years in office. 21. To further enhance security, Anambra State provided at least one security vehicle to each of all the 177 communities in the State as well as various organizations such as markets and Churches. 22. His Administration conceived and built, from scratch, the first state-owned Teaching Hospital, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu teaching Hospital, Awka. 23. His Government commenced the planned development of the Igbariam Campus of the ChukwuemekaOdumegwu-Ojukwu University, including the fencing, construction of internal roads, electrification, construction of the Faculty of Law, Auditorium, Administrative Block, Faculty of Agriculture, Management Building, among others). 24. His Government attracted the World Bank support on erosion - National Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) - to Anambra State. 25. His Government was the first to do Poverty Mapping in Nigeria, as a guide for the effective implementation of our poverty-alleviation strategies. 26 His Government, for the first time, undertook the aerial mapping of Awka as well as the production of Structure Plans for Awka Capital Territory, Onitsha and Nnewi. 27. During his tenure and with his Government's support, Anambra State became an oil producing State. 28. He built the first Secretariat Complex to house State Government Ministries that were hitherto scattered around the State. 29. His government commenced the development of the 'Three Arms Zone' comprising Government House/Governor’s Lodge, Legislative Building/ Speakers Residence, and Judiciary Building with Chief Judge’s Residence. 30. By the end of his tenure in 2014, more than twelve (12) health institutions, including two hospitals, had secured accreditation; when we took off in 2006, no health institution in Anambra State was duly accredited. 31. Anambra State was the first to undergo national peer review, which scrutinised State Governments for good governance, through the State Peer Review Mechanism (SPRM), an initiative of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum in collaboration with the DFID. I hope this long resume will translate to election victory and restructuring. because I don't trust your Nigerian politics. |

hammer6F: Afonja go for Moghalu and Sowore, that is your business.
How does your personal choice concern me~? to think that you would suddenly recluse to blackmailing any one that confronts you as afonja is such a shame. |

hammer6F: Wat do u want aside complaining like a pregnant woman?
Do u know wat u want? I will be here laughing at you when you will be crying like a jilted girlfriend. don't you guys ever learn? I hope your PDP wins and stick to their promise of restructuring in line with Igbo interests. I will rather go for moghalus presidential YPP than settling for VP and celebrating before victory. |

hammer6F: If IPOB unleash their full vernom, then Atiku and Peter Obi will sink come election day.
IPOB are human being and Igbo like u.
It is a shame wen people like FFK can undertsand something so simple but fellow Igbo dont. suddenly FFK understands better? I hate to say this but a lot of we ndigbo do not know what we want. my prayer for us is that Nigeria won't fool us again. I am done with believing politicians. |

hammer6F: Those of u calling IPOB dont even know that IPOB are all about advancing Igbo interest.
The body has a conscience and never mindless but bold.
They will also support Atiku over Buhari. I don't believe that. PDP apologetics should focus on achieving their restructuring agenda while IPOB maintain their referendum stance. let's see who stays put to their objectives. |

xfactor23: Very true... but the idea of getting our people on position of authority, back home remain the purest. Imagine, if IPOB have their people as elected officers in the east, and senate. We start building Biafra even while in Nigeria. This is when they say Biafra will come without a single gun shot begin to make sense. But their approach right now, to me is like a dream of a hungry man. They should get their acts right men. the same lame tactics MASSOB used that got uwazurike all messed up with politicians? no thank you. IPOB will do just fine without these double faced politicians. Alex Ekwueme, a honorable man got messed up with politicians. where did it take ndigbo? same thing with ebitu ukiwe. I no longer trust your so called tactics. |

Banmeallday: All this epistles because you will be making tea for Alhaji. Instead of clamoring for your freedom like your mets throughout history have done, you were clamoring to be Vice President, so that when Atiku your ruler goes on vacation in Dubai and London, Obi can preside at FEC meetings in ISI Agu without authority to even take roll call.
You people have been conditioned to feel good, all thanks to Yoruba and APC picture propaganda of “SEE CROWD” “SEE CROWD” “SEE CROWD”, and “Who wore this better”.....
Zik was President and achieved nothing, Ekwueme was VP and could not even get national burial or become President in a DEMOCRACY, Ukiwe wearabouts today are unknown as he was dumped back then and could not even get close to being the PDP nominee in recent times, or do we now talk about Obi who has shown to be a political prostitute by already abandoning his peoples’ ONLY party to be servant of other nations...
Unu bu Ndi ARA thank you my brother. we are waiting for them to come and tell us how hypocritical politicians are in the future, and that is if PDP wins. |
