cutesharon:how often do u call these guys? if u don't give, then don't expect to get. |
the best james hadley chase ever is you want to stay alive? poke toholo(the seminole indian). |
marry a single mum? no! too many factors are involved. no matter how much she claims to love u, her kids come first/ besides, u have to keep hoping her kids like u(wth?) single mums should find single dads. ![]() |
Leilah:it depends on where and the degree of impact. when no one is looking, i will let it go. in public, i will hit her back. |
berbatov looks certain to be moving to fc barcelona. it seems tottenham are reluctant to sell the bulgarian striker to man united. |
whitelexi:this is not enough damage to make a man run. sit her down and warn her severely never to do such freaky thing again. |
rubbish! she looks like a host to the dreadful virus. |
the two netcees are top of the range. wordsmith: intricate punch lines, cheekiness and clever delivery. hannibal: extra versatile, careful choice of words and wide range of knowledge. it's a tough call but i think hannibal just about edges wordsmith. |
i also know fabregas and adebayor very well before they joined arsenal. i know walcott at southampton and i know aaron ramsey at cardiff so what is your point exactly? |
even when they take up carling cup assignments, arsenal's kids are out of their depth. we all saw how young boys like nani and anderson dealt with fabregas, traore and hoyte earlier in the year. mikel obi and solomon kalou are young players. they rarely start for chelsea but will definitely start for arsenal, won't they? |
of course, united's kids find it hard to break into the first team because of players like scholes, giggs, van der sar, neville and all. if fergie despatches old timers like wenger does, united's kids would be first teamers so having a starting shirt in arsenal does not mean quality. look at chelsea's reserve team and tell me which of them is not good enough to start in arsenal. ivanovic, alex, swp, mikel obi and many more. |
folahann:i am talking about the same man united youth that knocked arsenal out in the 2006/7 fa youth cup. i am talking about the same man united youth that won the world youth championship in malaysia in august 2007. |
will madrid let robinho go after the massive defeat they suffered from sir alex on ronaldo? i don't think so. even if they want to sell robinho, they will make chelsea pay through their noses. |
cesc fabregas is not good enough for manchester united starting xi. who can he displace? paul scholes? anderson? or carrick? william gallas? ferdinand and vidic are the best centre-halves in europe so gallas has no claim at old trafford. of course, there is quality in arsenal's starting eleven but that quality is not enough to win a domestic trophy(europe will be an overachievement). let me repeat myself again, only sagna and maybe adebayor can walk into ot and start in games. fabregas will be on the bench. |
ronaldo is staying. when fergie says no it stays no. ![]() |
A-40:i agree. snoop dogg should give up rapping. ll cool j has seen better days. i can stand j-lo and madonna too. |
why rush into marriage only to rush out again? it makes no sense if one allows him/herself to be rushed into marriage. |
loyika:thank u mr loyika for providing those links. i perused every line and all i can say is there's a wide gulf in the senior team quality. if rossi, possebon, fletcher, richardson were in arsenal, they would have had more league appearances than they are having at old trafford. how many arsenal players will genuinely make united's starting xi as we speak(sagna and adebayor). note: emmanuel adebayor will not make it on credit. he would make it because of united's lack of depth in their attack. so it is wise to say, different teams with different philosphies but united's youth are better than arsenal's it is folly to begin to compare because united's youngsters have won with their kids while arsenal are yet to win anything. |
@ loyika, i don't know why u feel the need to defend the dude that started this debate on wenger's youth policy. many of them don't know the genesis of many players at arsenal. 99% of the kids drafted in by arsene wenger had been in one academy or the other(even kolo toure and emmanuel eboue. |
@ a-40, this time last season, bacary sagna was also an unknown figure. it only takes several months to achieve a cult-hero status. rafael and fabio are ready to step to the plate. |
loyika:did i say that? what i am insinuating is arsene wenger comes short in so many factors to be regarded as a world class manager. -he has never retained a league title -he has never won an european trophy in his managerial career. -he has never won a single title with his youth(the same policy many believe he is the best at). all these factors are the reasons arsene wenger is on a lower pedestal to gaffers like del bosque, hitzfeld, capello, ancelloti and sir alex. Like someone said, if you guys do not like the club, WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS IN THIS THREAD!? It beats logici am always on this thread to correct many misinformation arsenal fans wear on their neck like a badge of honour. p.s. presido1 said randall has never played in a sky/setanta match. arsenal's game against sunderland never made skysports tv. |
@ presido1, arsenal fans continue to deceive themselves that arsene is the best with his youth policy but he is yet to win with kids. since the demise of the invincibles, what have the kids won? nothing! sir alex won with his kids in 95/96 season. let arsene manage that before he can be classified as a world class manager. has arsene ever defended a league title? @ loyika. chelsea, liverpool and tottenham fans don't harp about kid this, foetus that. only arsenal fans bring age as a factor in excuses. i don't know any other football fans that use average age as an excuse, not even ajax. |
presido1:only ashley cole comes to mind. others were stolen from various academies all over the world from europe to west africa. arsenal fans in general don't een know cesc was snatched from barcelona team b. |
u will complain when u see other teams play. no one is saying they played badly but if u compare nigeria to other teams then your faith will shake. cote d'ivore has impressed me more than nigeria, never mind argentina and brazil. p.s. who is this gervinho? i think he is better than drogba/kalou. what a beast of a playa. messi n riquelme ruined cote d'ivore---a quickly taken free-kick, one-two ball, and messi struck, keeper parried n the rebound was turned in. inexperience and naivety on the part of the ivoriens. |
i am not comparing ligue 1 to the premier league. was just trying to correct the notion gunners have that any player leaving arsenal will always under-perform. thats so untrue. players will come and go, why wish them ill? |
@ ibime, i agree with u. apart from the fact that there was no creativity, there was no urgency. u need to see how ivory coast is playing with purpose. quick counter-attacks, agility, pace, speed, power and stealth. they are running the south americans down save for riquelme and messi's technical prowess. solomon kalou's pace makes messi/ronaldo look like a snail. quick burst of acceleration into the box, accurate passes and plenty of awareness. -----what a pass from riquelme to find messi. . . ivory coast's defence was diced open like a christmas turkey. what a goal, what a finish!! one has to feel sorry for the ivoriens. the goalie tried to make himself big for messi. not even casillas can achieve that. what a goal by cisse. slack defending from the argies and cisse buried his header in the top corner. (1-1). |
@ loyika, did u just say van brockhorst was a shyte player at Barcelona? there's nothing wrong in stating facts(sometimes). van brockhorst was a very good player at barcelona( rijkaard kind of rekindle the glowing talents in him). he was new-improved. wiltord also got better at lyon. in my opinion, he was better than reyes and jeffers. so why sell him off?? patrick vieira is now very old. u cannot expect him to give the same return like he was doing several years back. it's like asking giggs/scholes to play like they were 10 years ago. arsenal fans should stop thinking negatively about players that left their club. |
siasia should do something to the finishing of his strikers. i don't see how nigeria can win this tournament based on what the boys offered today. argentina and ivory coast(watching the highlights now) are strong favourites. this is football from mecca. messi, riquelme, aguero, mascherano and gago have been delightful. solomon kalou, coulibaly and bagayoko are also stepping up to the plate, this ivory coast team will take nigeria apart. their gameplay have been fabulous. |
@ akolawole, but do u agree osaze would have buried that chance because he is more agile? ogbuke has also missed a golden chance. he took the defender out and with the keeper to beat, he shot straight at him. a dutch player has seen red. what a tackle!!! |
isaac promise has blown nigeria's biggest chance of the game. a smart move saw nigeria having a shot on goal, keeper spilled it on a rebound on the path of isaac promise. eba and amala prevented promise from getting there in time(he slipped). how could he have slipped at that precious moment? i respect siasia a lot but leaving promise on the pitch is insane. |
anichebe comes in for osaze(what a silly move) isaac promise has been a donkey in this game. anichebe/osaze combination would worry the dutch team. |
