Sir, you don't walk before crawling, you crawl before walking.

1. There is no evidence or sign that laundering has stopped. In fact, most launderers launder funds through cash and not through bank transaction.

2. Importers will only seek alternative to import. You don't stop import through this means. You only discourage it by promoting local production. In fact, economic forces such as demand, supply, price, availability etc comes to play in discouraging import.

Buhari is cluelesssssss
Laundering might not be stopped totally but brazen laundering has been stopped. What they do before is they pay cash into the banks and transfer abroad or through BDCs. That is practically impossible now.

The amount of FX cash in the vaults of banks is above $1bn which is a non-earning assets rendered sterile. If CBN will move that to.overseas for the banks, they will charge 20% as fees, can the bank charges the customers the same? No.

This will put a stop to the systematic dollarisation of our economy.

2. If you seek other means of FX for your imports, which will definitely increase your selling cost, how will you match a local producer producing the same goods and of the same quality? Who will definitely run out of the market? The importer of course.

This will also come with added advantage of job creation and increase in tax payments and other ancillary benefits.

I hope he does something remarkable in those 18months.

Life is not all about tourism Mr President. Be focused and do your job, Niger cant help us rather can Benin republic.
OBJ toured for 3years and he got debt forgiveness and investments at the end of the day.

We are already seeing the dividend of PMBs tour -- US is ready to lift embargo on arms sales to us, neighbouring countries are more than ready to support in the war against terror.

His tours have not been in vain. If more tours will bring more benefits to Nigeria, he should keep touring.

My Dear, what we are witnesing is BUHARInomics that defies common sense and has no positive to Nigeria's growth. I summarised it here...

The Buhari/Emefiele Situation
1. The CBN has stopped receiving dollars from banks, as a result the banks has stopped accepting dollars at the counter because their vaults are full.

2. As a result of 1(above) the banks also refuse to request dollars from the CBN's foreign exchange reserve. The CBN will then come out to scream "RESERVE IS GROWING".
What you described casually has successfully
1. Stopped money launderers to a large extent.
2. Stopped importation of things that can be produced locally with our dwindling FX. This will lead to job creation in the medium to long term.

The future is looking bright for our dear country under PMB. So proud I voted out cluelessness and voted in direction and leadership

Rule the world. We aren't cowards
We don't depend on the government to give us loan.
ASK your dad he will tell u to be afraid of the Igbos
Cos we don't carry last. That's y ur women dump ur ass and come to us
You will not understand cos u are not in diaspora
I laugh in mandarin.

You need to go to Igbosere registry and see the number of y1bo ladies marrying yorubas. After teaching you how to spell your names, not only have we successfully colonised you with our language, we are even colonising you maritally.

Jaiz Bank, an Islamic Bank told us towards the end of last year that Igbos are their biggest loan seekers. That says it all. That is the lowest of the lows you can go to.

Ministers are just political heads. The career civil servants headed by Permanent Secretaries are the backbone and mitochondrion of the ministries.

The minister only presents the summation of the civil servants recommendation at FEC and pass the message at FEC to them in writing.

In the absence of ministers, PSs are doing the same. There is no lacuna in government

Icecomrade:
Despite the fact that I am a GEJ supporter I don't advocate for corruption.
If GEJ and his ministers stole or mismanaged a reasonable amount of money that should not be over looked, PMB should recover it.

My issue with PMB is that leaving out the likes of the so many other THIEVES like the Old Talkative OBJ who stole his own portion in his time, leaving out Thief-Nubu and Amaechi cos the money they stole was judiciously used to sponsor election in the name of limiting his probe to past government alone leaves a lot to bargain.

He who comes to equity must come with clean hands.

It was GEJ's prerogative to probe Yar Adua and OBJ, he did not because he had his own intentions too. It will be a total waste of time for PMB to start probing from OBJ's administration.

PMB should probe GEJ'S. Let us establish a culture of probing immediate past administration. That will make them to have the fear of God a little bit and reduce their looting to the barest minimum.
Politics › Re: Igbos Contribute More To The Economy Of Nigeria by superstar1(m): 8:57am On Aug 10, 2015
Another lie.

Our biggest human capacity export is the Nigerian music. 90% of all the songs have yoruba lines. Systematically popularising our language all over the world, after entrenching same in West Indies and Latin America.

Nollywood comprises all films being produced in Nigeria whether English Ibibio Igbo Hassan and Yoruba. English is our lingua franca without anyone having a monopoly of it. You can only claim the films solely produced in your language. How come Igbo films were the last to have a station on DSTV, after dancing your public shameful cry of marginalisation as usual?

Majority of whose shoes and clothes? What are the Chinese Vietnamese Cambodians and Myanmars doing? Majority of clothes are from Dubai and those are the countries that produce them.

everybody contributed to sports in Nigeria, it is not an exclusive filed of anybody. The fact actually shows that Igbos have brought more disgrace to Nigeria in the sport arena than any other group, by cheating through drug abuse. Classical example is the disgraced Chioma Ajunwa.

You have not been able to achieve your Biafra despite all your noise making. Why can't you start from developing your region and let us see a glimpse of the Biafra in it.

Bunch of jokers

Politics › Buhari, Obasanjo Meet In Aso Villa by superstar1(op): 4:00pm On Aug 08, 2015
Obasanjo and Buhari
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Friday evening visited President Muhammadu Buhari inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The two leaders met for a few minutes behind closed-doors inside the official residence of the President.

Obasanjo, decked in blue Agbada and a cap to match, arrived at the premises after the day’s work when the President had returned from his office.

The President’s residence is not open to journalists except on special occasions.

Obasanjo must have decided to act on his knowledge of the Presidential Villa to visit the President at that time, away from the curious eyes of reporters.

That was the first time the former President would be visiting Buhari inside the Presidential Villa since his inauguration on May 29.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, confirmed Obasanjo’s visit to our correspondent.
