I will advice you to fill new DS-160 because if you go with DS-160 you previously used for interview, you wont be interviewed.

Hello everyone have being a silent reader here I would please need your help my interview was today in abj and I got dienied by the vo who’s a white young lady! Cause on my i20 it says my dad is going to be sponsoring me and when she asked my I told her things changed abit my Aunty who also happens to be my god mother is the one sponsoring me. And she quote it says in my i20 that my dad would be the one sponsoring me this time.She waits for a while types on her computer and ask if she has ever paid for my education and I said yes. But got dienied regardless. I really don’t know what to do at this time. My school resumes oct 2nd and I replied again today with same old i20 but got a date for sept 19th would luv suggestions frm the house in what to do differently around this time. Thanks House Godbless!

We were told we would be notified of our new appointment date...all august 15,16,17 applicants.

Pls did they send the affected applicants mail to reschedule or they did the rescheduling for them. Though my interview is 20th. Pls i need update before traveling to abuja.

HELP! HELP!! HELP!!!

Good afternoon house, pls i need advice on this.

I got Assistantship that covers my tuition with stipend but it does not appear on my I-20 becos the Assistantship came after i got my I-20.

Is it normal i put the Assistantship contract form together with my I-20 inside my international passport when going for my interview or i should wait for the VO to ask for it.

Also my school resume 27th of this month and my interview is scheduled for 20th of this month. The school payment due date is 17th of this month which is 3 days before my interview, i mailed the school if i can pay for the Fees that my GA does not cover after my visa is approved and i got a response from the bursary assistant director that i should make sure i pay those fee not covered by my GA on or before the payment due date in other to avoid cancellation of my schedules, she said” should my visa is deneid a refund will be processed. Pls is it adviceable i pay this fee and if i pay when VO ask who will be paying can i say “i got research assistantship that covers my tuition and my dad will be responsible for other expenses, as a matter of fact i have paid all fee that my GA does not cover becos of the payment due date” pls my good people advice me. My head is boiling

No, the DS 160 form submitted to the US consulate in Lagos can be used for an interview in Abuja. I am very sure of this.

I intend having my interview at lagos so while filling my DS-160 i picked lagos as location, when i was trying to pick a date for my interview there was no available date in Lagos so i checked abuja and i was able to pick a date and i used the DS-160 with lagos as location on it. Pls hope that wont cause me a problem at the embassy. I cant afford to loose another 57k.

Yes you can request for an emergency appointment but there is a low probability that you would get a close date for abuja. I initially selected Sept 19 and requested for an emergency appointment. The earliest date i could pick was 16th August.

I didnt abuse VO, i used the same DS-160 i used for my first interview and i suppose to fill new DS-160

Good morning nairalanders, pls i want to ask a question on what is not clear to me. I went for my interview last month 6th but i was denied, few weeks later inpaid another visa fee and i was able to pick 18th of this month which was last monday. I got to the stage where they need to check my documents, the lady that check my document said they can not interview me cos ibused the same DS-160 with the first interview i did and she said i need to fill another ds-160 and then schedule for anothet appointment. I paid another visa fee this morning and i tried to schedule appointment but there is a stage where they aske if i was denied in the last two months which i clicked yes, when I clicked yes and to proceed to the stage where i will pick date no date was avaialble. So i changed my interview location to abuja and the available date is 24th of September

My question is: If i pick 24th of september can i use emergency to pick a latest date. Pls help a broda in need of help.

My visa was approved last week and I picked up my passport yesterday.
I learnt from the transcripts here and I'm here to post mine.

Me: Goodmorning (passes him my passport and i20.)

VO: Goodmorning, looks at my I20 while asking where I'm going. '

me: ESIA. GWU for my masters in ** he didnt even let me finish.

VO: oh thats a good school.

me: thank you! my course i written differently in my document my masters is in ***.

VO: (nods)whats your academic background?

me: I have a B.sc in **** and afterwards I started working in *** ( he was just nodding)

VO: How many schools did you apply to?

me : 4. I went on to mention them, and also that I got accepted in all.

vo: so why did you choose this one?

me: Its one of the best schools for my field of study in the world.. I did my research using my field of study as focus.. I also chose it specifically because of the way the courses are tailored, we get to study in *** (nodding and cuts me in)

VO: yes yes I know about that.
VO: So why did you choose this course?

me: I chose it because I want a career in ******* more than I want anything else. I'll be specializing in **** and afterwards I hope to work with so so so and so places.

VO: He just kept nodding and approved my visa.

It was a super easy interview and I smiled a lot and spoke phonetics. lol! I was anxious but I did my best not to show that. I prayed and kept praying even on the queue. It is and can only be GOD!

Why are you so selfish. If other transcript you read before your interview was skeleton they way yours was, you wouldnt have gain anything in this group. Since no one forced you before you shared your transcript, i think you should give full details of the interview.

Me: because I have recently been part of projects in my organization that are related to process improvement and suply chain systems optimization. Even though these projects made significant contributions to the company I realised that we could have done even better if we had someone highly skilled in optimization techniques in the team. My Visa was approved 2 days Later.

Are you telling us you went through all the process of securing admission/ getting your 120 to ask us this question? Now tell us what made you choose the school in the first place ? If you did your home work I'm not expecting you to ask this question. Anyway west chester university of pennsylvania is ranked 64 best Regional Universities North by usnews and world report I leave the rest to you.

Well, i did my findings and i know little if not all about the school. i also exchanged several mails with the graduate coordinator even before i applied, my reason for posting that is just to know if there has not been issue at the embassy for people that choose this school before me.
