skywalker240:My mom never old o, she never reach 50 sef |
isaiah4life:Guy fershe this Mattias, no come carry am for your head like head pan. Wetin don sup don sup. She has been disqualified from two giveaways now which means there's a something wrong somewhere. She's just letting the goodwill and favour she gets from money121 intoxicate her. Snowman handled the matter the best way, let it slide bro. |
money121:I'm done now boss, currently job hunting. Thanks for your concern sir |
MummyMalik:Madam this is unnecessary, like money121 already said, next time come out plain if you want to help someone not making it look like deceit and shrouded in secrecy. The siege mentality is uncalled for neither is the fragrant display of alerts from money121 like you're rubbing it on the faces of your doubters. I've personally sang your praises on this thread before. Scammers plenty here so if anyone doubts your authenticity it's not entirely the persons fault because you gave room for that, protect your reputation if not for anything for the sake of money121 that has always had your back. |
snowland:Lol....more like the more you look the less you see ![]() |
I'm a frequent visitor to this section though I don't own a car nor any close to owning one, I came across a thread where the OP was shocked at the ridiculous prices that Nissan Xtera cars are being sold. It reminded me of how my village disguised as a Nissan Xtera and came after my dad's life. I don't know much about cars so I would be narrating this experience in lay man terms. About two years ago my mom called me and excitedly broke the news that my dad had just got a new car, of course that would be his first car. We have a large family and the absence of a car has been telling, we don't travel for Xmas because we would need to charter a mini bus to convey us which most times my dad can't afford which made us stay away from the village for about a decade so I could understand her happier. I called my younger brother and asked of the car make and had mixed feelings when he told me it was a Nissan Xtera due to the not so pleasant reviews I read about it in this section. The car spent almost one month in the mechanic getting some refurbishment before finally getting home. I saw the car for the first time when I visited my parents months later so we could travel to the village for a burial. The car looked clean with it's shinny silver colour, my dad always took care of his stuffs very well and takes the car for maintenance even at the slightest noise but I still had a feeling he was sold a lemon. A day to our journey he took it to his regular kazzem for servicing even without the car displaying any obvious fault. The next day we set out for our journey. If only we knew what was in store for us. Some minutes into the journey we all wound up the windscreen to enjoy some chilling ac, alas the ac was no longer chilling coupled with the fact that it was shooting up the temperature of the car, about an hour later the car came to an abrupt halt with smoke coming from the bonnet. We came out and opened the bonnet and I naively went to open the radiator to check if it still had water and would've got bathed with boiling water if not for my dad's timely intervention. All attempts to restart the car proved futile so my p man had to hop on a bike to look for a nearby mechanic. He came back 15 minutes later with one mechanic who restarted the car with his battery and we resumed journey this time without ac. The journey was going fine till we went into a pothole and the iron holding the two front wheels (I've forgotten what my dad called it) broke into two and sent the car into haphazard and wobbling motion, p man managed to bring it under control and we set off to look for welder. We managed to find a local welder who uses those cylinders and it took him almost two hours to get the work done, now it was already dusk and a four hour journey was fast turning to a seven hour journey. We were already close to the village around 10pm when my mom noticed fire in the bonnet of the car, they immediately ran out of the car while I fumbled with the lock of the back door till my dad came to help me out. We managed to put the fire out with sand amidst my mom's screams of " Jesus.... Jesus!!! We won't lose this car!!! My enemies can never make me trek again!!! .... I will never trek again!!!... Holy ghost put them to shame!!!". A check in the bonnet revealed that many wires were burnt including the container that holds the steering oil. My dad started the car and I surprisingly kicked to life one touch, my mom went on another phase of prayers and worship.... " My father has disappointed them, how can a burnt car start after one touch...he's a miracle working God, he's the alpha and omega, he's a miracle working God.... My God promised me that I will never trek again.... ". We proceeded with my dad stopping after intervals to refill the steering oil, we somehow managed to get home that night safely and packed the car. Two days later we set off back to the city, I was uncomfortable because we couldn't get a mechanic to check the car, even though it was still moving I was sure something must be wrong due to the extent of the fire that was even evident on the bonnet. Going back was another wahala as the car would over heat and stop only to start again after some minutes. The power steering oil was now exhausted and my dad was handling the car like an old model 911. We stopped at least 15 more times on the road, spending all the money on us fixing one thing or to the other in the car and finally got home around 1am after spending almost 16 hours for a 4 hour journey. They took the car for Xmas few months later and it sure didn't disappoint. They slept on the road and came back with charter, I heard something was wrong with the gear box and the car went on to spend like 6 months in the mechanic gulping hundreds of thousands. I respect Xtera |
snowland:Well done boss, God bless you and congrats to the winners. |
I don't know what life would look like if I wasn't in programming, I'm still learning and don't have a job yet but it gives me hope. I know one day tech will wipe my tears and my days of suffering will be over. My laptop was unable to boot yesterday and my heart skipped a beat, I was sweating in a rather cool harmattan weather.,...that's how much my hope is hinged on tech. |
Acidosis:I just need something to pay my bills in the short term while I further improve my programming skills along with job hunting. Normally I don't fancy those platforms, I don't even have a crypto wallet, just want to use it as a stopgap in the mean time. |
tensazangetsu20:Thanks boss |
tensazangetsu20:Boss I'm into tech too but ostill learning and looking for internship position meanwhile I still need something to take care of my immediate needs, they wan throw me enter street like this. And please recommend where I can get comprehensive DSA materials. |
![]() Lol....I send out at least 50 job applications every week, if sapa hold you I'm sure this your reasoning will change |
MummyMalik:Talk on which WhatsApp, he brought the case here so you can still present your explanation here |
vinceyinnovation:I don't think so, I don't really know how the platform works but all I know is that they just click on links shared in a WhatsApp group and like pictures all day. |
Earlier today I was with some of my compound guys and I observed that about 5 of them were glued to their phones clicking some links in a WhatsApp group. I inquisitively asked them what's up and one of them told me they are on a platform called minds in which dey like posts and stuffs like that and get crypto tokens in return. He went on to intimate me that he cashes out at least 85k from the platform every month. I believed everything he said because the transformation was evident, he looked way better and no longer invaded rooms looking for free meals. I intimated him to put me through but he said the platform wasn't verifying new accounts for now, if only I asked him earlier. I've struggled financially for quite some time now, not for lack of trying but due to lack of opportunities. It pains me that I have a smart phone and a laptop yet I'm still wallowing in poverty which led me to open this thread. My introverted nature isn't helping me out because I don't relate much with people maybe by now I would have gotten a breakthrough. It is said that my people perish due to lack of knowledge. It's embarrassing that I have a family like nairaland and I can't still break free from the shackles of brokenness and perpetual want despite the wealth of knowledge and information that is accessible on this great platform which leads to my question. What financial action lead you to financial independence?? Was it business, a job or is there a platform like the one I mentioned above?? I've scouted the business section and gotten a lot of ideas but most of them still need minimal investment of some sorts of which I don't even have a dime. I know just one piece information can change my story for better. I'm not asking for money, I just need a mentor that can point me in the right direction and save me from my misery. I'm a rookie web developer and have been sending out tons of applications for internship and entry level positions with limited success. We all know how hard it is to break into the freelance market as a beginner, upwork even bounced my application and I'm yet to get a client on fiverr. I've watched series of YouTube videos on sites to make money online but most of them ended in futility, my geographic location isn't helping matters either. I've read tens of money making pdfs but it hasn't helped my situation in anyway. I hardly sleep at night, when I'm not coding I'm scavenging the internet for any information that I can leverage on. The accumulation of sleepless nights and over thinking has contributed in making me look 10 years older. I'm drowning in a quagmire of debts and bills, rent is due and I would find myself cast out in the streets soon not to mention the severe starvation, my people has a saying that hunger that has hope does not kill but I can't even see any sign of illumination in this dark tunnel that I've found myself in. I've no one to run to except nairaland. Someone should help me out of this misery because my strength is failing me each day. I can dedicate even up to 20 hours daily to anything that can give me an income and put food on my table. I wouldn't want enter this new year in this condition. Please my Nairaland family share your ideas or platforms that can help me out of my current predicament. I'm sure that others are stuck in this condition to and it would be of benefit to them. I'm tired of struggling on my own and I want to follow who know road now, maybe I can attain a little bit of the so far elusive financial independence. Mods please that to front page for wider views and contributions. |
Option 1 is better, let it go round. Let them adjust their budget accordingly. |
It seems you're the type that tries to impress ladies from the start with your achievements like staying abroad. A girl can easily give you her number just to get you off her back.... If she's not responding well fershe her abeg and don't make the mistake of coming back to Nigeria for someone that's still giving you cold shoulders. |
Sometime ago I visited home on break from school, one day I was at home with my younger siblings waiting for lunch. I was devastated when my 11 year old sister walked up to me and told me that gas has finished and we would have to wait till momsi or popsi comes back in the evening so it can be refilled. I was embarrassed and so ashamed that I couldn't afford even 1kg of gas that was around #350 or #400 then. The sight of our last born holding my short and telling me that he's hungry amidst tears broke my heart. Even recalling that even brought a tear to my eyes, one of the reasons I refused to go home for this Xmas because I can't stand to see things I'm supposed to do while I sit around helplessly. |
isaiah4life:I know its little bro but just manage, things choke me. God has better things in store for us. |

ChiefSosa:Please I would like to know your opinion sir, please share |
This Question was thrown to me in an interview with a foreign firm and I wondered how its connected to tech.....I tried to answer but they said my response wasn't satisfactory. I would like to get your views to the question. Question: Name one TRUTH that YOU believe about something that is known to the World, but that the average person would find unconventional or controversial, and would explicitly disagree with you on. |
snowland:Boss I respect your intentions but you see this bias and popularity of a thing can not be eliminated from this contest. You have done your best so let the voters decide. Like I said earlier its easy to predict the winners of the contest already. |
Snowland stated before that he wanted the contestants business ideas to speak for them hence the reason he wanted the voting outside of nairaland. He's trying to eliminate bias and make it a level playing ground for all the contestants but trust nairalanders to frustrate his efforts. Without even declaring the voting open someone already pasted the link here canvassing for votes. Let us be calming down biko |
Decency2020:You lots can't argue intelligently with throwing insults, go into to world and multiply Methuselah. Big woman with big sense. |
