What you did on the left hand side was you factored the perfect square. You rewrote the trinomial on the LHS in the perfect square format. That's different from Difference of two squares

The screen on time on my Poco F4 is mostly incorrect. I charged the phone fully recently, used it for like 25mins and the SOT recorded 3 mins.

No. You don't have to cram everything. As long as you know the steps to follow along the way, you'll be fine. In some cases, there are always alternate ways to arrive at an answer, so, it's not compulsory all the steps must be the same. People can use different steps and still arrive at the same answer.
