If Ciroma and co (I never believed they represented the entire north) were really serious about producing the Next president of Nigeria, I wonder why they zeroed in on Atiku? Why no go for an untaited person like Mallam Sanusi, our able Central Bank governor? A man who has proven his love for the country. The whole thing, I believe is not about zoning as such, but it's really about retaining political power for themselves. They are afraid of generational shift. For those who are hoping the north will vote masively for Ribadu or Burari, I say dream on. Compared to the PDP , ACN which is the main opposition party does not come in any sence close in terms of organisation and grassroot support. |
Atiku lose home state, a dey laugh o! lol. |
Soludo did very well in his days at the CBN and now Sanusi is actually consolidating and making sure we don't go back to the pre-Soludo's era when banks mushroomed all over the place and where failing as fast as they sprang up. They are both men of vision and courage, so, they both deserve the recognitions they got. Theirs are the best appointments made by both OBJ and UMYA. Congrats, Sanusi. Carry on with the good work. |
Those blaming GEJ are thesame people who don't want him there in first place. They are doing all they can to frustrate him out of Aso Rock. However, GEJ will succeed and outlive all of you, idiots. |
Don't read too much meaning to this, it's just politics as usual. Are they not all members of PDP? Remember the last Democratic presidential primaries in the US? Obama and Clinton fought to the bitter end. However, when she realised he has the numbers, she did not only join forces with him, she advised her supporters to swing behind Obama. IBB and his supporters may have realised the Jonathan/Sambo ticket is more realistic hence the change of heart. It only a fool who will want to team up with a loser. |

, ah ah,see he this man wey wan govern naija, phew, this Atiku of a person is not even fit to be class monitor. |
I told a few friends some years ago that corruption must be defined as treasonable offence, because it the one thing that is capable of tearing Nigeria apart. Recent revelation by Wikileak that Shell have spies at the hearth of our government, who report every secret to tha company has proved that point write. I believe we should adopt the Chinese option whereby anyone found guilty of corruption gets the death penalty. If this is done you'll see how Nigeria overtake even the Nordic countries as a corruption-free country within a very short time. |
Wikileak is God sent to GEJ. Is there anyone still doubting his sincerity? |
Please, ignore that fake communist. FGN should without delay privatise all utility companies, introduce road tax for vehicle in the country and remove sudsidy from all petroleum products. Money acruing from this exercise should be directed toward improving healthcare delivery, education and building and maitening our road network. |
The north have just put their wrong foot forward, when is the PDP primaries, anyway? |
Ah! Let them go. They where in the first place not working for GEJ or naija, these people are for sale to the highest bidder. I won't be surprise if in a couple of weeks, I read they've again "decamp" to IBB. Idiots, they think we are all fools. My question for those who claim that GEJ have nothing to show for his six months in office is: what has their champions IBB and AA got got show for their period in power? The evil genius had every opportunity to transform naija from underdeveloped to a developing country (afterall he had no constitutional constraint or parlement to contend with) instead he went on killing and looting spree. As for Atiku, don't expect anything. |
alj harem:Please, read the quran again and if you still don't understand it let someone who does help you. Malaysia, Turkey, U.A.E., Bahrain etc are all Islamic states, yet they have managed to use the western technology to accelerate development in in these countries. yabadabado:I agree completely with you. There are also many milions of poor people in China, but they are using modern technology to reduce poverty. In Nigerian we seem to rely on prayers alone to get our problems solved. What a shame. |
md4real:Forget double speak, as far as I'm concern, you may live at the hill top with the evil one, but your man is going nowhere near Aso Rock. |
nex:I like Ribadu too, but it would be better if he teamed up with GEJ in order to move naija forward. Ribadu alone doesn't stand a chance right now. |

Anyone can claim to be speaking on behalf MEND. The real mend has since denounce the bombing. Why was the evil genius absent at the festivity in Abuja, while other past Presidents and Heads of State were gathered there? Did he have a foreknowledge of the deadly blast? What does Dokpesi know? |
Folks, let's face it, we a unique country, with people that are very intelligent, daring, industrious and generous. South Africans on the other hand are not. |
~Bluetooth:Yes, I did. Why is it "so pathetic"? I think your position is even more, should I say, "pathetic". What will you do if you find out that your employer, boss or colleague is gay? will you resign? Look, enough of this dogma, the world is moving on and we as a nation need to move too. |
All these talks about homosexuality being unAfrican and unGodly is all bull$$$$, cast your eyes around in Nigeria and you'll see that homosexuality abound. So what should we do, linch them? throw them in jail? Homosexualism is as old as mankind itself, incase we've forgotten. I live a country where same sex marriage is legal, God has not sent earthquake, flood, hunger, drought, corruption, economic mismanagement etc, etc, to consume us. Infact, those countries that practice tolerance and protection of the weak and minorities are continuously been rewarded by God. Nigerians and indeed Africans as whole need to reaccess their feelings and deed toward others. God created everyone and all great religions teach that we should love Gods creation. For Nigeria to be a viable democracy we must learn to be tolerant of other, regardless of their colour, creed, believe and sexual orientation. Rather, laws against sex with minors should be enacted and rigidly enforced. |
@poster, Thanks ones more for your response to my thread. I appologise if I have given the impression that sharia is against development of the north. Like you mentioned it is been practised in more developed nations around the world. However, I think in the case of Nigeria due to the high level of iliteracy, poverty and underdevelopment, the purpose was not primarily for the benefit of the society, rather a tool of oppression. My case is, with more and better education, northerners will have better opportunities in life and will have better understanding of sharia. And I strongly believe that the scenerio you painted will then not surface at all. But right now these guys are there as willing tools at hand of evil doers. One thing though, what are you and others of your kind in the north doing about this situation? Do you talk to the youths, parents, imams and the politicians about the need to focus on educating these people? Remember Afganistan and Pakistan? This we must avoid at all cost. SHARIA AND POVERTY DON'T MIX VERY WELL. |
@poster, thanks for your well meaning post and the cool and civilized way you've responded to your critic so far. I personally don't share your opinion, but I believe instead of name calling, we should as a matter of fact discuss in a more matured manner. In 1999 when Obasanjo came to power, it was wided reported that the north, conservatively put, is about 40 to 50 years behind the south in all development indexes. But some northern governors decided to introduce sharia instead of tackling head on the enormous economic challenges and I understand that many people in those states see sharia as a great leap forward. Ironically, some of these same (now former) governors are neck deep in corruption. Now my question to you: (1) Isn'tn it better for the north to educate the army of illitrate youth begging all over the place in order to create better challances for them in life? (2) If the situation is so bleak as discribed in yours (and many others) threads, don't you think we should hold a sovereign national conference to sort things out now before they get out hand? |
, and by the time he returns to naija, death penalty should hopefully be in the book for corruption and await him, oji. |
@poster this is your life, noone elses. if you truly love him then good for you. make a life with him. your family and friends ca bit/ch and moan all they want but in the end you are the one in the relationship not them. stand up on your own two feet and do waht you feel is right for you not what is right for everyone else. you comprimise now, you will end up doing it for the rest of your life. @agathamari, I agree completely with you. |
You must be a big fool not to marry this guy. |
@mama-gee, shebi na yar'asleep style u like. nawa for u o! |
"Men of God" indeed. These are men for sale. It's a pity that Nigerians are following these clowns. ![]() |
Even God has given up on Nigeria. How very unserious we are. What a shame. ![]() |
The critics of Col Qaddafi are just not sincere at all. Where were you when the US predicted the breakup of Nigeria, complete with a date, what did you do? This time we got a good opinion on how to deal with the problem, again we are behaving as if everything is fine. Those who think this is an internal issue are either, foolish, ignorant or don't understand the working of international relation. Take for instance, there is another civil war in Nigeria, million of Nigerians will seek refuge in other countries including Lybia, thereby overwhelming the governments and the people of those countries. This is one such scenarios that the Lybian leader has foreseen and is trying to avoid. In as much as I hate to, I do agree with the Lybian colonel and strongly disapprove of the action taken by the federal government on this issue. ![]() |
, never mind his not coming back. what a shame though, all that strategizing is wasted. , well, who knows it may come handy one day, afterall this is naija. , oh, ja, mike, say hi to the dames in gboko. ![]() |
Happy birthday Uncle Sege. |
