leisuretym: *TIME* *TO* *REASON* *TOGETHER*
*UNDERSTANDING* *THE* *TREND* *OF* *WAR*
I want ourpeople , both the pro and anti protest factions on the field and the social media, to understand the trend of war .
*NOTE*
It is always a trend. From Libya to Syria to Yemen to CAR to Somalia to Liberia to Sierra Leone to Ivory Coast to Rwanda. Here are the stages:
*PLOT* *1*
People protest
*PLOT* *2*
Many try to encourage them.
Soldiers fire live ammunition into crowds to scare or disperse protesters.
*PLOT* *3*
Mob retaliate and burn down government and influential leaders' assets.
*PLOT* *4*
Army and police withdraw due to international pressure. They begin to guard their barracks only.
*PLOT* *5*
Anarchy sets in. Mob goes after assets of prominent figures and in some cases notable government officials.
Powerful and influential people flee abroad with their families.
*PLOT* *6*
Mob goes after assets and lives of middle class or anyone that has semblance of wealth or conncetion with the government.
Estates housing the middle classes or government officials are attacked.
Remember, no more police or army to protect them.
*PLOT* *7*
Full scale war breaks out as opportunists with group interests and egos take over
*NOTE* : Is it an open secret that a few groups have been campaigning for the break up of the country.
Competing interests and internecine wars end up tearing the country apart.
*PLOT* *8*
Refugees flee the country in millions to become beggars in other countries.
*NOTE* Which country in West Africa has the capacity to take refugees from our country?
Remember, the population of Lagos alone is hgher than that of most West African countries.
*PLOT* *9*
I heard some people are saying US will come in.
I laughed.
To do what?
Has the US finished solving its own many problems.
Common, this is not the 1960s!
No external forces will quell the in fighting.
It will be our cup of tea.
Remember a few of them have predicted that our country might not exist in the next few years.
Gotten it?
The internal wars will be a continuous recurring decimation.
With no uniting force, no military or police or government, we might have the Libya scenario.
I hope we are paying attention and praying.
All those mansions, designers this and that, and even loved ones could disappear in twinkle of an eye.
Those abroad that are fanning the flames will be eating Kentucky chicken in their respective cozy homes.
US, UK and the UN will turn blind eye, except the UN peace keepers who will be kept in one expensive hotel - Remember hotel Rwanda?
UK, US will sell us arms and buy free passage and licences to mine our natural resources.
What we all need NOW is CAUTION FROM ALL SIDES.
If we continue this way, no one will be the winner.
If the country scatters, God forbid, no group or faction will get what they want, not even the youths or the celebrities calling the shot via the social media.
*TIME* *TO* *RETREAT*
*THE* *PROTESTING* *YOUTHS* , *SHOULD* *WISE* *UP* . *INTERESTS* *BEYOND* *THEIR* *CONTROL* *HAVE* *HIJACKED* *THE* *PROTEST* . *THEY* *ARE* *NO* *LONGER* *IN* *CONTROL* .
Parents who have seen wars before must call their children to order.
Why destroy the States' limited resurces and heritage when most of what you are protesting about are constitutionally beyond the powers of a State government?
Again , I cite the example of - South Sudan, Libiya, Syria, Iraq, Sierra Leone - years of wonton destruction , loss of lives and livelihoods. Everything and everyone will be on the route to destruction millions of naira in the bank will be worth less than toilet roll.
Houses become unliveable.
This is no longer about who is right or wrong, it is about who will be safe? Plz and Plz dialogue is the only way out. Thanks Dr Anthony Nwaoney Do you preach this Gospel to politicians who loot the treasury with impunity? Do you preach this same Gospel to authorities who are insensitive to the hues and cries of the ordinary citizen? Do you preach this gospel to the educated, qualified but unemployed youth who go hungry every night except laboring parent puts food on the table at the age of 40 years or more? Haba How long shall we suffer in the land of plenty? |

Politics › Re: Why I Think Tinubu Is Sponsoring The Endsars Protests. by SweetiliciousD: 8:46am On Oct 20, 2020 |
Awol1: Few weeks before these series of protests started, Tinubu faced what I would arguably call the greatest threat to both his political career and his freedom too.
First, the Edo governorship election. PDP won that election but it is an open secret that some bloc in the APC facilitated Obaseki's victory just to further decimate the powers of Oshiomole and Tinubu as the race to 2023 heated up. So bad was the humiliation and how Tinubu had become synonymous to badluck that he had to stay away from APC rally in Ondo just so he doesn't slim the party's chances with his presence.
Second, while Tinubu might still be strategizing on how to shrug off the humiliation in Edo and bounce back, his traducers resurrected and dusted the file of Alpha-Beta company. With billions allegedly embezzled and how Tinubu has corruptly used the company as decoy to move illicit funds. Even his bullion van scandal was going to be visited, not minding he moved money in bullion vans to facilitate Buhari's reelection.
For the first time I saw Tinubu being rounds up. I was like, "ain't no way he's getting out of this".
Then came #EndSARS series of protests. He may not have engineered it but it was a timely happenstance for him and he possibly bought into it.
Or why have the protesters enjoyed the most cooperative environment in Lagos state? Aside one incident of thugs invasion.
Didn't it surprise you that MC Oluomo and Speaker Obasa quickly disowned the thugs?
Why did BRT announce closure of operations and why did LASG announce closure of schools if not to add to the noise?
Why is TVC of am stations covering the protesters and amplifying state brutality with their reportage?
Why is Channels TV, a TV station I can tell you entered into alliance with Tinubu in 2015, covering the protests as well?
And all of a sudden Tinubu's Alpha-Beta case is not making headlines anymore.
The protests may have been spontaneous and organic, but an Igbo adage says "That when you see someone dancing on the road, best believe his drummer is somewhere around the bush".
Fergie001 Kyase Sapientia Lalasticlala Mynd44 I guess your opinion is everything speculative. The protest is nationwide but Tinubu's influence isn't. The protest transcends political landscape while Tinubu is a political stalwart. The protest is youth driven while Tinubu is not a youth. The protest has diaspora support while Tinubu is local. The protest touches the fabrics of oppression while Tinubu is one of the perceived oppressors. The protest is anti thuggery while Tinubu seems sympathetic to perceived thugs. I can go on and on to debunk your opinion My thought tho. |

Neddstark: Please can you base your life on facts? When did I praise rogue in powers or criminalize the poor? You did if only you listened to yourself. The youths are protesting against bad governance and its SARS high handedness. The root cause of crime and cultism and all shades of criminality is the quest for better life which the rogues in power are heartlessly stealing away, yet not criminalised and sent behind bars. What are we talking about here? If you are gainfully engaged doing legitimate job and earning your livelihood all day in a well organised economic climate, what time will you have for crime and criminality The sleep of a labouring man is sweet while the hungry stay awake all night in bitterness and anguish! Root cause analysis tells me you aren't looking the right way in addressing the mammoth rot brought on all of us by criminals in power who are never criminalised and the crescendo is here where all youths are crying and fighting to be alive and can't be pacified by empty promises anymore. Read your writeup again and do so with deep understanding. |
Crime › Re: Jailbreak In Oko, Edo: 2000 Prisoners Released By Hoodlums by SweetiliciousD: 7:29am On Oct 20, 2020 |
Neddstark: Feminist Coalition who has been sponsoring the protests are a faceless group in abroad. Stupid youths, suddenly believe they have power made it their job to block the roads and frustrate government, not knowing it is themselves they are frustrating. Other states copied it, now they have used it to destroy law and order. The two main prisons in a massive Edo state has been let out open. Expect cultism and crime in that state to triple and of course no police to restore law and order unless military comes in. The protests have done nothing more than taking Nigeria backwards. Criminals, cultists and kidnappers are extremely happy that there is less police presence on the streets. Let the blockade protests end now. How many rogues in power are behind bars? Yet you criminalise the poor and exonerate the rogues in power. SMH |
