Mynd44: *sighs* I hate going back and forth. Read this and try to understand the emboldened part.
Now the emboldened says that although the present administration might not be using divide and rule, it does not stop people from reading it to mean they are. Before we know it, some trouble maker will get on a stage and say "The president loves the Ogonis but hate you Ennogs" and that's it. The impression will be set Pls spare me the Mr smart pants gimmicks. Only dumb, bitter, idiots will read meaning into such a laudable step. And such people should be ignored. Good afternoon. |

Mynd44: You do realize we are saying the same thing right? Hell no we aren't! You're talking about "divide and rule" I'm talking about solving issues according to urgency. Two diff things. You goffed bro. Accept it and learn how to analyze better in future. |
Politics › Re: Ogoni Hails Buhari On Implementation Of UNEP On Ogoniland by Sweetlemon(f): 11:26am On Aug 08, 2015 |
Mynd44: Babe calm down first. We all know Nigeria, if there are two people facing the same problems and you solve the problem of one, the second person is going to scream tribe and bullcrap like that.
I did say I like this move but we also need to spread it to other areas and not limit it to Ogoni-land but the whole place else people will wake up to say he is using "Divide and rule" No YOU calm down! Of course he wil spread the good work around! Haven't you heard of the word "priority"? that's the way smart people classify and handle their problems. Buhari is approaching each issue according to importance and urgency. Kindly allow him! By 2018 we will start compiling all his scores to know wether he has passed or failed for 2019. But for now, allow him do his tests and homework how he deems fit. Simples! |

Can we all stop insulting tribes over crime? All tribes have their wahala so NONE is holy enough to point fingers NONE! Nigerian youths! Stop allowing elites use us for their selfish gains. |

@Firefire, I'm becoming your fan. I hope people can learn from you how to be objective and reasonable. Praise when necessary and criticize when necessary.
Bravo bro! Keep it up. |

PassingShot: In a bid to be seen neutral and objective, he ended up messing up with his first statement. Na wa o! I'm shocked! That's why it's always good to relax and be your true self. Not all this forming "Mr nice" "Mr objective" so people can like you. |
Politics › Re: Ogoni Hails Buhari On Implementation Of UNEP On Ogoniland by Sweetlemon(f): 10:55am On Aug 08, 2015 |
PassingShot: I don't get it, especially your first statement. Are you saying it's too early to praise a clearly good decision? I don't just understand the guy these days. Divide and rule? Where the heck did that come from |

Mynd44: I think it is a tad bit too early for praises abeg. Lets see concrete moves first then we know where we are going.
I for one will like this clean-up to be done all over the Niger Delta and not just Ogoni land. I find it ill-advised but then, it is a start that can be consolidated on.
We need strong policy on oil spillage and tougher laws against environmental degradation not just in the oil/gas producing places but all industrial processes. That's the way forward.
A step in the right direction is all this is but if not reciprocated everywhere, it becomes too political, makes it seem cosmetic and gives people the impression of you using divide and rule. Am I the only one noticing that you're trying a tad too hard to sound "objective"? Pls where is the divide and rule here? Let people praise him all they want. That will even make him work harder so he won't disappoint knowing very well that he will get the boot like Jonathan did if all he offers are promises. We've been in the dark too long. You have no idea what life is like for those in the creeks, so let them cry tears of joy and and praise all they want. Buhari needs all the support he can get from well meaning right-thinking Nigerians across all ethnic groups and that's EXACTLY what he's going to get because he is showing promising signs and please don't forget he's not even up to 6 months! Period! |

lurther: You are no longer half-yoruba and half-akwa-ibom?
Okay! Continue denying where you are from. Just continue.
Have you ever seen me mentioned Biafra?i know your problem, I know your problem.
Are you not the sweetlemon that was claiming the most beautifull girl on nairaland sometime ago and some nairalander's made a mess of you, Hence your hatred for the igbos that dealt with you.
You now all over nairaland shouting Igbo this Igbo that because our igbo women are always beautifull than your yoruba women hence your hatred.
Deal with it, you are a looser and a big time looser. Don't mention me again, because I wouldn't even bother replying you.
And go get a life, before igbos give you avoidable hypertension. You must be a sicko in real life. Sucks to be you. Since when was I ever half yoruba? Are you stark raving mad?? And please where in this post am I talking about Igbos? I really don't want to believe that paegent was an Igbo gang up with the way you guy keep refering to it. I don't know if you guys think that reminding me about that miss NL thing will make me feel ashamed of being on NL and register with a new moniker or something. If you all know me that well I have faced harsher ridicule here but came out stronger. NOTHING will break Sweetlemon and you will be the one to go into hiding before me. I remember many monikers who taunted me but today most have deactivated their accounts. So my dear you are a learner! |

DonXavi: We're talking about the South East as a region and you're talking about Nigeria with 300 independent ethnic groups. Don't you see that you're far from being sincere? All your efforts in trying to defend the indefensible failed when Buhari declared it himself that he would not treat those who gave him 95% the same way as those who gave him 5% which is now conspicuous in his lopsided appointments so far. This thing called "geographical zone" is just for political convenience. In reality, The SS and NC are just toooooooo diverse to be tagged as a people. Too many ethnic groups with very different cultures. As SS people, yes we share that boundary, love for marine, fish, and few other things BUT mehn, I don't see my Akwa-Ibom brothers in the least bit concerned about Kachikwu's appointment. We are not happy and we are not sad, jealous, or whatever. We are just indifferent. Most of you really need to get of NL and social media for a while and visit places to learn more about other groups besides yours. This is why I am a strong advocate pf the NYSC program. I learnt a lot up North you know..... |

lurther: You are a big hypocrite!
You Lots were shouting that jonathan sidelined and marginalised the yorubas in his own tenure. what has changed now?
I hate to say this, but all of a sudden, you all don't care if Buhari appoints all his brothers from Daura, but we're fast to pinpoint at any given chance how jonathan appointed people he believed in.
Yorubas, I fear una ooo... So you are ready to accept marginalisation under Buhari because of the shame of voting him whilst shouting, all you need is competency. It has now dawned on you guys that no sane person wants to associate with you all, Now you are crying on how 'If Buhari likes, he can appoint his brothers'. I AM NOT YORUBA. GET IT INTO YOUR TINY, MELODRAMATIC SKULL THAT NOT EVERYBODY AGAINST BIAFRA IS YORUBA AND JUST MAYBE YOU MAY BE ABLE TO MAXIMIZE YOUR POTENTIAL.And even if I was yoruba. Have you ever seen MY moniker complaining about marginalization? I'm talking about my own moniker. |
Politics › Re: Igbo Nation Will Survive Without Buhari’s Appointments – Nwosu by Sweetlemon(f): 10:58am On Aug 07, 2015 |
heatflux: Ok na
To whom it may concern
But why constant noise making? 1) If you see Nigeria as one, then you shouldn't be bothered about where appointments are going. 2) Do you know how many tribes are actually in Nigeria? If they start dashing appointment tribes by tribes..... 3) Politically: you can't eat your cake and have it now. The same man you said should be stoned..... 4) So when an Igbo man is most senior (career-wise) in his agency, you would prefer an hause/yoruba/fulani/tiv.... man(junior) to head the agency for tribal fairness? 5) 90% of that man's appointment has been based on merit. So you should expect him to give the remaining 10% to his "allies" 6) be patient, the appointments will eventually come. You have be complaining right from the very first appointment. 7) God bless Nigeria. cc lalasticala The bolded makes the most sense. How many Oron men (my tribe) have appointments in even Akwa-Ibom state not to talk of FG?? In fact if I haven't been mentioning my tribe here, how many people here have ever heard of Oron?? It will shock most of you that Akwa-Ibom and Cross river has over 30 ethnic groups btw them but most of you only hear of Ibibio, annang and efik. So please leave matter. Nigeria's issues run far beyond "marginalization" |

amakaobiemeka: Pat utomi has a post with buhari govt dont ask me how Then you don't know Pat. And please get into your heads that there are many people who think like him. Like me. I don't give a flying hoot about ethnic brotherhood. I don't believe that distributing posts to all ethnic groups is in any way whatsoever a requisite for good governance. Come to think of it, Nigeria has over 300 independent ethnic groups. So if we really want "fair" distribution, then let it go ROUND all the 300 groups! That's why I laugh at those "marginalization" screamers. |

hinwazaka: I think the PDP will still field another southern candidate for president come 2019. My money is on either Akpabio or Mimiko. Saraki is simply a tool being used by the PDP through blackmail and the lure of greed. When the election year comes the chaff will be cleared from the grain Mimiko won't even get Ondo state vote. AS for Akpabio, it all depends on Buhari's performance........ But he still can't break into north. VERY few Nigerians have national appeal. Buhari, Fashola, Rochas, Ameachi, Oshiomole, Kwankwaso, El-Rufai, Donald Duke, Fayemi (maybe) |
