Gboliwe: Seriously?
Are you not tired of all these? What level of attention seeking is this one na? Haven't we read and re-read and re-re-read all these long before now?
Abeg abeg abeg, while there are people who may find this interesting, I and a whole lot are beginning to find it irritating, childish and an iota of joblessness! Dude get over it! If you are in PDP, congrats but what we don't do here is seek attention especially, annoying attention.
Ngwakwe, afam4eva, OAM4J, Maclatunji etc, someone should come and carry this thread to a section I may likely not see it. Thanks Hehehehehehe even hard core PDP supporters are getting irritated. My verdict: barcanista BADLY needs a job from either APC or PDP. he's kind of like auctioning himself for the highest bidder. barca how market na? |

Bekwarra: Actually it is true. Cross River is a rural state. Apart from Calabar and to some extent, ikom and Ogoja, the rest are rural agrarian societies. The only state in Nigeria that is not mainly rural is Lagos. When they say Africa is a jungle, they are not far from the truth. |

Rad1cal: Just like Fashola completed the fourth Mainland bridge in his 2007 electoral promises.
There is a very thin line between uncompleted and an abandoned project. i have seen lots of abandoned mega school projects in Lagos. The badagry 10 lane express road is more or less abandoned, the lekki express road is another. Since you insist on having it your way then fine. The bolded just exposed your Jonathan with his long list of uncompleted and still-on-paper projects. |

Rad1cal: See her rattling about . The same Lagos that couldnt manage her dilapidated BRT busses , or the same Lagos initiative that has completed the Lagos Airport , 4th Mainland bridge and monorail .
The Abuja -Kaduna brand new rail line will soon be commisioned, and you dare talk about efficiency of Lagos State in delivering on mega projects. The bolded is my point. Don't you get?! Poor maintenance culture spoils all the buses, trains, projects in the country for now. Even this one he's commissioning now will later be like BRT. But Eko Atlantic is a legacy. There, different investors and stakeholders will be working on it. As for Lagos airports, Ambode will complete it and we all know that. Lagos government hardly embark on what they cannot finish. Mention one abandoned mega Lagos project. When I say abandoned I mean abandoned. Not uncompleted. Thank you. |

@ barcanista, from what I can see, you fell out with your fellow NL APC compatriots and not because of anything Buhari or Tinubu or whoever did. Which makes me wonder, if you REALLY loved Buhari, why would some mere disagreements sway you so easily. Like seriously! You were APC to the core just last week! So definitely this isn't about love or convictions or desire for justice/change in Nigeria or any other thing like that. Just for the records. I have always known you were a paid APC member on NL. It's either you were paid or you were aspiring to be on their payroll. Same with people like Gbawe, berem, and some other monikers like that. There's something about paid online characters that is so obvious if you've got any brains. 1. They are just tooooo persuasive/forceful/detailed in their write-ups. 2. They are on every damn thread trying to prove themselves. 3. They are praise singers. They just cannot see or say anything bad about their paymasters. (the PDP are worse though) 4. Experts at digging up old threads, links, etc to score points. So now barcanista, you mean we are now going to see you jump from writing, well, organized speeches for APC to PDP just because PDP have offered you more money? Lol! berem and Gbawe and co. How much is your own price? Lol! Honestly, APC folks should just leave barcanista to his conscience. Don't threaten or insult his lineage because of this. It's not worth it and will end up further portraying APC as an aggressive party which is all part of the plan here. I'm out, before someone sends me a mail (cos I can see this business is getting dirtier and more desperate here) Biko I no wan do online job. Whether for PDP or APC. Thank you. |

barcanista: Hahaha @ OP abeg thank you. I see those pained and vile broom carriers moving from one of my thread to another to look for my attention. I will respond to them appropriately. They say I'm a begger, they again said I'm a mole and Jonathanian, later they said a babe made me leave. Question is: how can a mole planted by "Reno" or Abati be a beggar at the same time? They are frustrated and confused that they say I lack ideology. To them ideology is when you remain in a camp of bitter people and behave like maloo to them. Ideology is when you remain despite bein insulted. Alas, ideology have got a new meaning. Some say it's because I am Ijaw, but they forgot that I was also Ijaw when I was foolishly with them. Some others say I'm a low-lifer, but thank God that they can't beat their chest to say "if not for me barcanista will be starving". Whether I'm worth N1 or N100 is irrelevant, as long as I work for it, I am honored. For I know that tomorrow will be better than today.
These "apc's" have gone out of ideas, barcanista will entertain their folly. They will never smell Àso Rock with this evil mindset.

He has confidence in the army and realizes that all they need is effective arms and mobilization. That's just a summary of what he says in his interviews o. He doesn't need to tell us word for word and stage by stage, but anyone should be ok with the fact the key areas he's mentioned. I think they were later driven to their present location by the Efiks Everybody migrated from somewhere. So it's not even anything. Kalabari and Calabar people have nothing in common. Except the usual south/south similarities like dressing (all south/south men tie goerge wrappers) similar blouses and shirts for men and women, womanizing, drinking. But as per core culture. There's nothing in common. |

Abagworo: Igbo, Yoruba and other recently formed identities are very much alive in South America. Maybe the thread was started by someone who is not aware that the Calabari/Carabali is very much active in South America even more than other groups. Calabari comprises mostly of Igbo, Efik/Ibibio and Ijaw who were known as one ethnic group then with the subgroups used as a suffix to explain the specific origin.
A great diversity of peoples brought to the Americas from the Niger Delta and Cross River Basin were labeled by merchants as Carabalí, as Cuban historian Des- champs discovered: “The carabalí. The tribes brought to Cuba under this denomi- nation are innumerable . . . part of those [“carabalí’] who founded cabildos respond- ed to the following denominations: Abalo, Acocuá, Agro, Apapá, Bibí, Bogre, Bogre Isuama, Abate Singlava, Brícamo, Ecunaso, Ibo Induri, Isicuato, Isiegue, Isuama, Isuama Aballa Ocuite, Isuama Ibi, Isuama Isiegue, Isueche, Oquella, Ososo, OsosoEche, Ososo Omuma, Oxó, Ugri, Unigini, Aballa Otopa, Isuama Umofina, Isuama Osulerisna, Orú, Elugo, Orate, Bané, Yudusi.”13 Of this partial list of thirty-three ethnic denominations, only five survived into the twentieth century as components of the Abakuá society (Efí, Efó, Orú, Bibí, Suáma); today there are two main ethnic lineages: Efí and Efó, with Orú as an important third lineage. Calabari? Efik/Ibibio? Some posters in the culture sections are so so so annoying with their know all attitude, meanwhile they know nothing at all. Just because Kalabari sounds like Calabar doesn't mean that it has anything to do with Calabar. Thank you very much. |

Rooneyboy: I've always believed that the reign of bokoharam is political.
Mark my words "in this special six weeks" bokoharam would be defeated and there will be jubilation in the land(Nigeria).
I remember having an argument sometime in september last year on this "tape" playing out just before the elections.
*6 weeks of local and international watch *6 weeks of suspense. *6 weeks of victory for the Nigerian Army.
A result the present govt couldn't achieve in 6years wld be achieved in 6weeks.
Notwithstanding, I pledge my utmost support for the present govt come march 28.
The devil I know is better than the angel I don't know. The problem with Nigeria is YOU. Yes YOU. |
Politics › Re: Thread To Monitor 6-Week War To Crush Boko Haram by Sweetlemon(f): 11:57am On Feb 09, 2015 |
maclatunji: Nigeria is already being laughed at in the international community. If Boko Haram is still as active as it is now a week before March 28, then the government and our military would have succeeded in rubbishing whatever is left of their credibility. Actually, I believe they will achieve reasonable success within this 6 weeks. Why? Because they can actually fight and eradicte BH IF THEY REALLY WANT TO. The Nigerian army is powerful enough to do this if given the right morale, weapons etc. This shows that they would have been able to eradicate BH aeons ago if they really wanted to. Now that they know Nigerians mean business, they are sitting up. Honestly I give my respect to APC for shaking PDP to their very foundation. There's already change in the air as politicians are now getting more serious. |
