Sky Blue: You are not doing ANYTHING new with this. There have been threads where someone tried to raise issue with regards to roads or something of the sort in a South western state, and before long, people were posting pictures of Aba and other places in the south east, as if that had anything to do with it. This back and forth bickering is sickening and hinders us from targetting leaders, no wonder they get away with murder. I mean, is this all Nigeria has to offer, online Igbo Yoruba fights?? No hour is complete on this forum without some thread degenerating into on of these petty and ridiculously childish skirmishes. And what is most disappointing, is that the most vocal of the bunch actually live abroad (some have never even been to Nigeria). I really can't understand it, it really is confounding. Some people will call it "tribalism" to make themselves feel better since in their own head it is not as bad as racism.
I had always ignored all these tribal issues but this time i decided not to look away. This is the second time this week that these same pictures of Aba will appear on front page. And the moderators are not helping matters at all. They are mostly anti-igbo, always quick to dig up dirty stories abt the igbos and move straight to front page. I am Igbo that grew up in the South West, I know the Yorubas alot and their hatred for the Igbos.

Sky Blue: How did Aba turn to Ibadan? The bickering between the WA and the BIA of this WAZOBIA crap has passed the point of genuinely being nauseating, I have never seen such childishness in all my life. And to think many of these nairaland posters have families is even more worrying, how on earth are those kids going to come out normal?! Seun please consider making a WABIA section of this forum where all such threads can be moved and let the rest of us know peace - this is not all there is to Nigeria! Alternatively, any one know of any good Nigerian forums where intelligent exchanges are possible should let me know - seriously. Need to take some months off this madness, what a racist bunch.
My dear the Yorubas called for it. They are fond of picking on d igbos. This Aba today Aba tomorrow rubish has to stop. Let me give them a taste of their own pills. angry

@ Poster, I wonder what the aim of this thread is? I know Aba very well and can tell that u just snapped pictures of one street at different positions which is quite obvious. Are u telling me that there are areas in Lagos that dont look like that street? Aba might not be the cleanest of cities in Nigeria but it is not as bad as u people paint it. Besides Aba is not a state capital. U cant compare Aba with other non capitals like Ijebu-Ode, Sagamu, Ogbomoso, Ore, Offa etc. Infact, wait till i visit Ibadan on my next trip there.Dirty houses, unplanned settlements with rusty roof tops.

niggadee: you are mad 2 rubbish naija like that we got scientific weather forecast.
He is not saying Nigeria does not have scientific weather forecasting techniques or equipments. He meant the politicain did not provide any scientific or empirical evidence of his projections.

Nosa-Henry:
The commissioner should talk scientifically and not on mere speculation. American govt knew what was coming and they were prepared for it.
On point bro. He is just a politician. E no sabi anything. Throwing water on glass and it will splash back at u my foot.

BusinessRe: Selling Price Of Catfish In Lagos? by Syenite(m): 2:06am On Oct 28, 2012
In Benin City, I sell 1-1.4kg for N550/Kilo, 1.5-1.9kg for N600/Kilo and 2Kg+ for N650/Kilo.I dnt sell less than 1kg, I allow the 700-900g to attain atleast 1kg b4 selling. Then we smoke the 300-700g and sell profitably as dried fish.

SportsRe: Which African Country Play The Best Brand Of Football by Syenite(m): 12:50am On Oct 28, 2012
@ Poster, Zambia for where? They dont even have a rich fooball tradition.

Football to me in African is segmented along:
North African style (not much talented but very efficient, close to European style). : Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria top in this region. My no 1 here is Egypt.
West and Central Africa Style (Highly skilled and talented but not matched with efficiency).: Nigeria, Ghana, CIV and Cameroun top here. My no 1 & 2 here are Nigeria and Ghana (in any order)
East and Southern African Style (Least talented and least skilled in the whole of Africa, rely more on efficiency and tactics). Zambia and South Africa top here. No 1 being Zambia.

Over all I think Nigeria and Ghana have the best brand of football in Africa across all age categories including women football.
