My beloved Nigerians lets nt allow the evil northern political forces to use us. They promised 2 make Nigeria ungovernable if Power does nt go 2 d north. They ar responsible 4 all these Killings. Buhari, Atiku, and co should b arrested. |
How could he had graduated frm Sec sch in 2005 and still b 18yrs old in 2012? That boy is nt less than 23yrs old. |
I will take this with a pinch of salt since there is no source ![]() |

adexmurphy:It is not an issue of top guns and their candidates. The whole truth about the matter is that the type of questions set for the aptitude test for the EH was not appropriate. Imagin some EH applicant graduted from Uni over 10-15 years ago and they were assessed with Basic Physics, Biology and Chemistry questions. Now the problem stems from the fact that the so many competent hands that the company would have employed unfortunately did not pass the test due to the nature of test questions set (Phillips Consulting did not get it right here). There was the general complaint that most of the EH interviewed did not meet the interviewers' expectation and you expect the company to go ahead and recruit them? The GT recruitment might go ahead but the EH I don't know o! |
Patience, patience my people. The recruitment has not been cancelled. Just some little hithces particularly the EH category. Succesful candidates will soon be contacted. Forget about all those "inner or outer source" stories. It's just that only about 1/10th of those interviewed that will be employed. Except the management thinks other wise. ![]() |

AFCON without Nigeria. Well, maybe I'll support NIGER 'cos it is the closest name to NIGERIA ![]() |
This topic should have been: "Man Kidnapped at Gun point" and not "Car snatched at gun point". |
To a large extent no! What matters most in employment especially at entry level are (in order of impotance): Grade, age, course of study. The only time University might play it self is when an interviewer or a top ranking officer attended same school with you, they might just want to give you a little push. For eg for entry level jobs a 24 year old graduate of Physics from Gombe State University with a 2:1 or 1:1 has an edge over a 29 year old graduate of Petroleum Engineering from UI that finished with a 2:2. |
Syenite is a Geology graduate and currently working as a Geophysicist. Previous Job designations: Micropaleontologist, Well-Site Geologist. Professional affiliations: Member - NAPE; NMGS; SEG; SPE;AAPG. |
Chai! 3rd Class graduates don suffer o-o.First na companies dey reject them, now na potential marriage partners. I also know a lady who broke up with a guy because he had extra year in school and also finished with a 3rd class. Maybe the fear is that they don't want to have children with genes from a third class partner. In short dey no won born "olodo" ![]() |
Obinoscopy:Sorry for the long absence. Though I have not been completely absent cos I have been reading threads related to this recruitment but not contributing. Sorry I cannot give detailed info abt the recruitment because of my company policies. NNPC group HR and the consultants are handling it and thay are doing a great job. The only info I can give to you now is that NNPC is in dare need of u guys(successful candidates) and the recruitment exercise is still on-going and that u won't wait for too long to know ur fate. There will be massive retirement in the next 2-5yrs years and so the corporation needs to train up people to join in the NNPC Wheel of progress. Resumption is very likely to be January(i am not 100% certain o!) . Keep ur fingers crossed. |
The over-bearing Nigeria fans too should share from the blame. The team also wanted to prove a point to the fans that was y they were trying to get the 3rd goal. I am sure that if we had won by that 2-1 marging and finished 2nd and still qualified, Nigerians would have called for their heads for finishing behind Guinea even though they qualify. Imagin the fans booing the Nigerian players when they were 0-1 down.It is a shame. NIGERIAN FANS ARE THE MOST UNPATRIOTIC IN THE WORLD! |
lol, ok o beliefs or believes na u sabi. Dey go jare. ![]() |
^^ Thanks for pointing out the mistake. 'False' I meant. Ok o Odunnu carry go. Make I waka pass. 2:2, 3:3 & even 4:4 work with NNPC. ![]() |
Thanks Obinoscopy and Jackpot. I am not angry in any way, for what? It's just that I am trying to clear the air so that those that still have the opportunity to study and make very good grades can still do so, so they don't fall into the category of those that will want to console themselves with assumptions and falls believes. ![]() |
Sammie Ameobi played along-side his Elder brother Oluwasola Ameobi when he was introduced as a substitute in the Aston Villa Vs Newcastle clash at Villa Park today. The last time two brothers in NewCastle played together in the same game was in 1991. I hope NFF and Siasia have started putting their beam on this Young Ameobi before he claims he is English. |
Odunnu:Well, how can u know another man's bedroom more than he does? ![]() kool J:My dear just work hard and make very good grades, u can work anywhere with it.Banks, Telecom, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Aviation, Food and Beverage etc |
@ Yomit2, u don't need a Juju priest to tell you the poster is a fresh graduate who is seeking a position as a GT. Anyways, I 've answered his/her question in my immediate previous post. |
@ poster and others. Yes NNPC employs Biochemists and Agric graduates. NNPC has a Renewable Energy Division (RED) where Biotechnology is been used to sought for alternative energy sources. This is where pple with such backgrounds can work and also other arears like Crude Oil Marketing, HR, Planning etc. However I still reiterate the fact that for you to enter as a Graduate trainee now you need atleast a 2:1! The last time NNPC employed 2:2 as GTs was in 2005. However also experienced Hires can come in 2:2. So Odunnu and the rest get ur facts right ok?NNPC recruitment is not as corrupt as u pple think. Several pple who entered with fake results have been fired! |
My friend! you have made a very silly mistake that might continue to hunt u even if NNPC employs u. U ought to have applied for GT after-all I know a lot of people who were corpers and wrote the GT test. The fact is that u can still be employed but as an operator. That renders ur B.Tech useless as far as NNPC is concerned. With an OND the highest u can attain is SS3 grade level(u can't become a Chief not to talk of DM or Manager).I can assure u that by then u'll realise the shit u've put urself into. The remedy is if NNPC finally employs u go for another(afresh) degree(B.ENG,B.TECH, B.SC etc) part-time.I know that's quite tough right? ![]() |
@ poster a family friend you said is helping you?Doesn't that family friend have immediate family members that he/she can equally help?Talk less of you who is just a family friend. You people think the NNPC is a place where any kind of person with any kind of result just stumble his/her way into? For your info, I currently have tens of CVs of people that have been disturbing me that they want to work with the NNPC. I am sure same applies to that your family friend. If NNPC is recruiting it is usually advertised in public dailies so wait till then. And did u say you made a 2:2? I am sorry my dear, that's not up to the NNPC minimum requirement. For those that just attended the last interviews be rest assured that there'll be fair play in the whole exercise. |
What difference does it make? 99% of Youth Corpers generally do not contribute to operations in these private companies. Most of them run errands like bank transactions, buying of food eg "boli",corn, soft drinks for staff, even collecting staff's children from their school, some of the ladies visit single staff at home to wash their clothes, plates, cook and warm their beds. These might sound ridiculus but it is true. So if govt should stop sending corpers to these private firms ITs will take over from where the corpers stopped. And does this also exclude private schools? |
Mr Peter Utaka, if u feel u are that good how come u're still in the Danish league? That aside in a Super Eagles team that has strikers like Ike Uche, Victor Obinna Nsofor, Peter Odemwingie, Emmanuel Emenike, Victor Anichebe, you expect to start? Ok maybe when most of these players are not available. IMO Ahmed Musa and Ekhigbo Ehiosun are even ranked higher than u.I can't say of Brown Ideye. I like the diplomatic end to ur agitation. The fear of Siasia's raught and punishments to any revolter has become the begining of wisdom. ![]() |
My parents washed their hands off me financialy when I left the house for NYSC. Then the Federal allowee was N6,500 and the state Govt paid N5,500. I was running two coaching classes: one was paying me N2,000/month and the other N4,000/month.My total monthly take home then was N18,000. I was a bigger boy among my fellow corpers then cos N18,000 in year 2004 was still good money. I left NYSC with about N80,000 in my account. That was the money I lived on while searching for job: browsing, buying of tuesday Guardian, attending aptitude tests and interviews, printing of CVs and photocopying my credentials, making phone calls to people I believed could connect me with jobs etc. I spent the last Kobo from it just a day before I resumed my first Job. This made my elder brother to support me with transport fare for the 1st month I worked before collecting salary. This was a contract job and then lasted only 1month.I was paid -off with N20,000 with several uncertainties in my mind about my lively-hood for the next weeks and months. The next day after being paid-off by the bank i got an interview call by an oil servicing firm.I got the Job and resumed exactly 1month after I left the Bank. That was when I started supporting my parents till date. |
mennn, bad photography.Too bad. |
^^^ clap for urself. A good girl u are.Thank God there are still people like you.I feel like signing a 1million dolar cheque in ur favour. How won't they fail when they occupy themselves with BB, Facebook, Africa Magic,Yahoo-Yahoo, EPL,Laliga, UCL,Europa league. Generation 'Olodo'. |
