We are currently in a bearish market.Zenith,UBA,Union Bank,GTB and Intercontinental Bank are also experiencing this free fall. To the least of my knowledge aside from the bonus issues by some of these banks, share-holders are heavily off-loading their shares because of the current multiple public offers by less capitalised companies and at attractive discounts. This heavy off-loading has created a surplus in the shares of these Banks on the floor of the exchange.Remember the Law of Demand and surpply? When surpply exceeds demand prices fall is it not? OCEANIC Bank is not really affected by this bearish run because share certificates of their last offer are not yet out so people cannot sell. It is predicted that this bearish run will continue for the next few weeks since more companies are going public. |
:oTHANK GOD I DID NOT BUY FIRSTBANK ![]() |
One thing you don't know is that companies recruit more fresh garduates than Experieced staff. :oSurprised? When Companies recruit Trainees they recruit many at the same time. And might even recruit not more than 2 or 3 experienced in a whole year. For eg.NNPC recruited 1000 graduate trainees this year and only 50 experienced staff! Different banks have been shopping for Trainees recently and how many experienced have they shopped for? O.K ask your self this question-how many managers does a branch of a bank normally have? And how many younger or junior staff work under them.Companies are recruiting fresh graduates every day so keep posting your CV and compete with others. |
The fact is Engineering/Technical/Science graduate have higher IQ, analytical abilities and numerical skills which help them to excel in aptitude tests. More over the business world is changing.ICT has taken over.Todays banking operations are such that any smart or intelligent graduate irrespective of his/her discipline can perform well. A couple of today's Bank Executives have Engineering and science backgrounds. All they did was to go for an MBA,ACCA,ICAN etc.Of which they also perform well. So if you are a Management/Social Science graduate just buckle-up and compete with them.As for me all my kids will have to study the sciences to sharpen their IQ. |
JAPAUL OIL and MARITIME,DANGOTE FLOUR MILLS,FIDELITY BANK and maybe AFRIBANK,NAHCO and FCMB in October. |

employers do this for some reasons 1) to cut-down number of applicants,(2)they believe younger people are more loyal and obedient(3)younger poeple have fresher minds hence are able to accept new ideologies,(4)they(employers) can use them before they get married(mostly females) and start asking for maternity leave.i am an employer of lobour.i consider age. |
does anybody know how much toyota camry tokumbo cars(1993,94 models) cost? |
You shouldn't be so much concerned about how many million a bank will offer you. When a bank offers you N2million, it expects N20million from you.And besides most of those amounts (N2.6m,150K,170K etc) are not the actual amounts they pay.Any way, I won't blame you guys cos I also had that impression. All the best. |
Sorry, I meant chistiana |
