1. Jon Venables and Robert Thompson, both 10Jon Venables and Robert Thompson were the murderous duo who became the perpetrators of one of the most notorious murders in British history. In 1993, three year old James Bulger was waiting for his mother outside a butcher shop in a shopping mall. Bolger was lured away by Venables and Thompson while his mother was distracted. The boys brought Bulger on a long walk along a canal and during this time they were spotted by almost 40 separate witnesses. All witnesses claimed that they believed Bulger to be their younger brother. The pair went on to subject Bulger to physical and sexual assault and then dumped Bulger’s body on some railway tracks and covered him with stones – Bulger was later hit by a train. His body was discovered two days later. Venables and Thompson were cutting school at the time of the murder. They were linked to the murder after they were spotted on the mall’s CCTV with Bulger. The boys were tried in adult court and were placed in rehabilitation units. They were controversially released, under very tight parole agreements, in 2001. The motive behind the killing is still unknown, though at the time many public figures asserted that the boys were influenced by violent movies.

Paul Henry Gingerich played a central role in the murder of Phillip Danner, the stepfather of his friend Colt Lundy. The murder took place on the 21st of April 2010, when Lundy was 15 and Gingerich was only 12. The pair and their mutual friend Chase Williams (also 12) were planning to run away to Arizona together. Lundy knew that his stepfather would catch them, so Lundy hatched a plan to kill his stepfather. He enlisted the help of Gingerich and Williams; Williams would later get cold feet and would not participate in the murder. Lundy convinced Gingerich to follow through with their plan, however. The two waited in Lundy’s house for Danner to return home, shooting him four times in the chest when he entered the living room. Gingerich was recently sentenced to 30 years in prison, with the possibility of parole by the age of 18 if he has engaged thoroughly with his rehabilitation programme. The public’s opinion is very much divided in terms of the decision – many state that Gingerich should be freed, believing him a victim of manipulation by 15 year old Lundy, while others believed he should have been tried as an adult and subjected to the full force of the law.

In 1968, 11 year old Mary Bell murdered two boys in the town of Scotswood, in North East England. The boys were named Martin Brown, aged 4, and Brian Howe, aged 3. Bell strangled Martin Brown in an abandoned house. A few months later, Bell, with the help of her friend Norma Joyce Bell (they were not related), strangled Brian Howe in the same fashion. The girls also mutilated Howe’s body and cut an ‘M’ into his stomach. Bell was imprisoned until 1980, when she was controversially released with a new identity. Bell has talked anonymously about her acts, citing sexual abuse at an early age as the cause for her criminal behaviour.

Joshua Phillips was involved in one of the most shocking adolescent murder trials in history, after he murdered his 8 year old neighbour Maddie Clifton. Alyssa Bustamante murdered her 9 year old neighbour Elizabeth Olten in Missouri in 2009. Bustamante slit Olten’s throat and stabbed her before burying her in a pre- dug grave in a woodland. Bustamante attacked Olten when she was walking home from a friends house. The trial heard that Bustamante had severe psychological problems, a difficult family life, and had previously attempted suicide. Despite her mental health, she was tried as an adult and sentenced to life in prison. Bustamante stated that she murdered Olten to see what killing felt like, and wrote in her diary “I just f**king killed someone. I strangled them and slit their throat and stabbed them now they’re dead. I don’t know how to feel atm. It was amazing.”

George Stinney was a 14 year old boy from South Carolina. In 1944, Stinney was charged with the murder of two white girls, Betty June Binnicker (11) and Mary Emma Thames (7). Stinney, who had been seen talking to the girls the day before their bodies were found, was soon caught in a media circus that would see him convicted and executed in less than three months. Stinney was given the electric chair, making him the youngest person to be executed in such fashion in the history of the United States. However, his family have never given up hope of clearing his name. Recently, many journalists have outlined inconsistencies and a lack of physical evidence to back up the largely circumstantial case that incriminated Stinney. Many believe that Stinney became a victim of the polarising divide between blacks and whites in South Carolina’s Jim Crow era.

7.Eric Smith was arrested in 1993, aged just 13, for the murder of four year old Derrick Robie. Smith lured Robie into an isolated park and choked him. He proceeded to drop rocks on Robie’s head and finally sodomised him with a tree branch. Unbelievably, this was the first time Robie’s mother had ever let him travel alone – Robie was walking a couple of blocks to a summer camp. Smith soon confessed to the murder and was sentenced to a minimum of nine years. As of April 2014, Smith – who has been diagnosed with ‘intermittent explosive disorder’ and was bullied as a child – has been denied parole seven times.
|
Daniel Bartlam was just 14 years old when he killed his mother, Jacqueline Bartlam, in cold blood. On Easter 2011, while his mother slept, Daniel murdered her by hitting her seven times with a claw hammer. Daniel set his mother’s body on fire before ringing the police and reporting that a burglar had killed her. Detectives soon noticed inconsistencies in Daniel’s claims and searched his computer, where they recovered a deleted file which detailed his murder plans in the form of a story. Bartlam had no motive, but Jacqueline’s former partner testified that Daniel had a passion for violent films and video games. The 14 year old was sentenced to a minimum of 16 years in prison.

PDP keeps saying ameachi is finished!! But they still go to great lengths to attack him, from orchestrating lies to pandering propaganda and even stoop so low to the ridiculousness we see above. If he is truly finished why go through all the problem? Except they are telling a lie even they don't believe and are working overtime to make their lie a reality. |
Jewelbright007@yahoo.com The last juror The king of torts The summons The chamber The pelican brief.....can I add more, please? ![]() |
PDP is a cancer ravaging the nigerian state since 1999. I don't blame them, I blame the ignorant nigerian masses who have sat passively all this time and swallowed their bulllll shitttt!!! Can you imagine the hubris of not allowing a debate in the people's house of such a monumental issue because they know the people won't hold them accountable for it. Nigeria is not my buisness. |
Foolish story meant to appeal to the airhead conspiracy theorist of which nigeria is experiencing a great surge. The internet has made otherwise reasonable people suspicious of even the most obvious thing. Youtube, alex jones, infowars,etc..utterly idiotic people who will make the case that the u.s killed over 3,000 of it's citizens on 9/11. U.s government blew up scoan? My soup soured last night, I have it on good authority the CIA, NSA and FBI orchestrated it. |
Goodluck jonathan, his government and party are a band of grotesque liars!! The same man spouting lies about the u.s government to cover up obvious corruption and theft sat across the president of the united states in the UN security council chamber and heaped praise upon him for "all his help for nigeria in our fight against terrorism".... If he claimed the u.s ban us from procuring weapons, how is that help? Why did'nt he raise that issue in the council. Lairs!! They have orchestrated an elaborate cover up from the presidency to the national assembly. They should continue, nigeria is not my business. |
Blaqsmith: I will go for the American's Congress system of Government because it makes for equal representation and well passage of bills.correction. It makes for uunecessary deadlock and disgusting party politics. Since 2010, the democratic control senate has not passed a bill that the repubican control house has taken up. They've both park the bus and have taken deep extreamist sides. They can't pass budgets, immigration bills, they've shut down the government once, have even almost defaulted on the u.s debt. If you ask americans, they'll take an efficent single party government over a deadlock two party government. |
CFCfan: The American-style Presidential system of government is more suitable for multi-ethnic, and multi-racial countries such as Nigeria , South Africa, the US etc. This is because the concept of Federalism is usually embedded within their constitutions.the presidential system of government as we have seen in the pass 15 years have not worked for nigeria, it has not quelled tribalism, it has prooved to be more expensive, more divisive, more corruptive, etc.. The parliamentary system is better, the mistake we made in 1960 was allocate seats according to fusy population numbers. Create a nigerian parliament like the senate. Every region or state has a fixed number of seat and let the parties fight for votes accross regional and ethnic lines. |
I think the british parliamentary system is better! It makes for more accountability as party leaders get to debate themeselves regularly. It is more efficient as the ruling party governs without obstruction from the opposition. Elections are fought over ideology and performance of a party, not if you like who will be the prime minister because he can be changed by the party anytime. Congress Is a cumbersome and slow governing system. There is also a tendency that no single party will control the presidency, senate and house of representatives, so it gives the opposition powers to obstruct the policies of the ruling party( this has been the hallmark of the obama presidency)... Elections are at times not fought over policies but which presidential candidate is more likable or has nicer hair. The president is not accountable to congress, only his cabinet ministers are. Governing is very slow as every bill must pass two houses of congress and it's harder when two parties control each house. There are many more..... |
saxywale: God save the Queenwhy won't it be the most powerful? Even when you open the first page of the passport what you see is "her brittanic majesty's secretary of state request's and requires in the name of her majesty" who won't obey such a command? ![]()

Goodluck jonathan is a fool... This is a president who is to answer to his counterpart in south africa for the Highest number of their citizens to die on foreign soil shamelessly associating with a man who to a large extent could be responsible for those deaths. If jonathan is an airhead, I wonder if he does'nt have any aides for PR people to warn him against this, same idiotic thing to did with sheriff at chad. No wonder they can't run a country when they can't even govern their inner circle and theatrics. |
This is fact!! The nigerian police and it's likes are notorious torture experts and prolific human right abusers. Even if you see how they bring prisoners facing trial to court, you will think they were already convicted and heading to execution. It's repulsive and inhuman. Now we as a people can accept this and demand change recognizing it can happen to any of us someday or we can blame amnesty intl. For bringing it to light. Nigerians, BE WISE!! |
Wow!! Just last week she made a joke on fashion police "this dress is as pale as the flowers on kasey kasims grave"...would she have believed if anyone told her then that soon she will be joining kasey kasim?...RIP!! |
Once you go into the national assembly and start taking those jumbo salaries. YOU ARE A THIEF. I consider every member of the national assembly a thief since non of them have ever come out to say we are overpaid or declined their salaries. Once again, every nigerian federal legislator is a thief. |
Reminds me of one of my favorite books. "The innocent man" by john grisham... This is the beauty of an advanced legal system. No matter how long it takes as long as you try hard and arm yourself with your facts, justice will prevail. Can it ever happen in nigeria? I can boldly say about 40% of everybody currently rotting nigerian prisons are innocent! |
Test the bodies for cause of death and if they are clean release it to the families for burial. the family can cover the cost for the test. So because of ebola families should be denied their right of paying last respect to their loved ones or turn to hindu's over night and start cremating corpse. Government should be reasonable if not lagos morgues will soon start overflowing and they will have a crisis on their hands. |
